2. WHAT DO WE DO?
• The average Slovenian household has spent in year 2012 far

most of the energy (62 %) for heating of the house.
Final energy consumption was in 2012 a bit less than 2 %
lower as in 2011.
In first seven months of the current year the average electricity consumption was 1 % lower as in same period in 2012.
Energy dependance of Slovenia raised again in 2012 up to
51 %.
The share of the energy from renewable sources was in
2012 in Slovenia almost 19 %. By the year 2020 we plan to
raise it up to 25 %.
The share of the energy from renewable sources has in Germany reached 25% last year already!

3. WHAT DO WE DO?
• In 2012 Slovenian citizen has produced in average 327 kg of
the communal garbage or 0,9 kg per day.
• Greenhouse gas emissions raised up by 0,1 % in 2011
according to year 2010.
• In 2012 the average water usage in the industry was by
11,7 % higher as in 2011.

Green Building Council Slovenia wants its efforts
and work to contribute to the development of
the sustainable construction and sustainable
development and management of real estate. It
wants to establish a platform for interdisciplinary
communication between industry, educational
sector, designers, developers and managers to
improve the quality of residential and business
premises and workplaces.
