To assist countries of a region with the design and
implementation of post vaccination monitoring activities
and act as a platform for exchanging experience and
expertise on vaccination for FAST diseases

3. Group for Vaccination Advice, Guidance and
Consultation (GVA)
Terms of reference:
• To participate in regular meetings and assist with the identification of tailored trainings;
• To guide the implementation of PVM studies (upon request) ;
• To assist with the analysis and interpretation of immunogenicity studies;
• To discuss and provide advice on the use of FAST vaccines in the region;
• To discuss strengths and weaknesses of the vaccination programmes in the region
and the reasons for suspected vaccine failures in the region;
• To identify national/regional experts to be invited to GVA meetings ;

Composition of the group
• Core group of 4-6 members representing the
countries in the region
• EuFMD experts;
• international reference laboratories;
• Experts from international, regional and
national vaccine producers

5. Group for Vaccination Advice, Guidance and
Consultation (GVA)
Qualifications and experience
• Five years of experience in vaccinology EuFMD experts;
• Ten years of experience working in the region ;
• Experience working with at least two or more FAST diseases;
• A relevant academic qualification in the subject area.
Meeting schedule
• Every 6 months or more often if required.
• Face-to-face and online meetings.
