For an Indian, their family is other Indians and their home is India, but as humans, all people are family and Earth is our shared home. While some small nations are content, others seek expansion despite their large size already. It is better to expand one's mindset from solely caring about one's own nation to caring for the entire planet, rather than pursuing physical expansion, though a strong national identity is still needed to avoid falling victim to others' unethical expansionism. Past mistakes would best be resolved cooperatively to smoothly transition to implementation.

1. Nation
For an Indian, Indians are family and India home; for a human, human beings are family and planet earth home. Can't I be both a human and an Indian? I sure can be both, and is the need of the hour. Humans have organized themselves into nations. Despite their small size, some nations are content and happy; despite their large size, some nations are greedy and expansionist. We are better off expanding from a 'my nation' mindset to a 'my planet' mindset rather than trying to be expansionist in terms of size; having said that, if 'my nation' mindset is not strong enough, it will not only be difficult to step up to a 'my planet' mindset but is also likely to fall prey to others' unethical expansionist tendencies.
