class photography

Photography is one of my favorite hobby that’s why I chosen this course. I was very excited and
a little bit nervous for my class. I thought it would be a difficult subject for me because the
Course teacher has already warned us that it will not an easy subject and we will have to prepare
well to get good result. .As it is my desired subject so I think it will be more interesting for me
and learn a lot of things.

2. 2nd
Day class:
January27.01.2015
in our second class, sir discussed on some pictures which gives us some idea about some
important topics of photography. Therewe learned some important simplicity of photography.
Then sir told us that a picture has an own story which gives a meaning to people’s feeling .Every
picture has its own color, light, background, emotion which is very important but sometimes
people don’t understand the true thing behind the picture.. Wedrawed some pictures in class and
get known many things did an assignment or task to learn more.
The first assignment was five pictures of my family that represent my emotion and feelings. I
was feeling better after completing myfirst assignment.

3. Statement: Family photo or family portraits are the symbol of love and bonding of a family. It
represents the untold story of a family that can only be shared with photographs or images.
Family portraits can be different but the innermessage of every family explains the same
meaning. The art within a family photo is it express the love of family members and anyone can
understand it.

4. We were assigned to visit 3 places in old Dhaka.
We visited BeautyBoarding, LalitakalaAcademyand Northbrook Hall. We learned about light
symbol and emotion there which our second assignment was. Though I am from old Dhaka I was
amazed to see the historic beauty of shree das lane, waisghat and b.k das road.It was a great
journey.
Beauty Boarding: Shris Das Lane is one of the oldest lane and also historical road in old Dhaka
there are many buildings in old town.Old town's historical beauty lies in this road. Many oldest
temples are situated here and many kinds of press are available in the corner of the road. There is
a little mosque in this road. And it is one of the oldest roads in old town.
Bulbul Lalitakala Academy: I have visited Bulbul Lalitakala Academy and it was really
exciting. It is situated in the place where we can find a lot of ancient architecture. It is basically
situated at old Dhaka beside Buriganga River. One of the most ancient and renowned tourist spot
AhsanMonjil is situated beside it. The architecture of Bulbul Lalitakala Academy is very
fascinating. It is just a symbol of natural beauty. A wonderful sculpture for the people of Hindu
religion is situated in the ground floor of it. But when I went to the first floor I felt really excited
by the combination of light. These combination of such lighting may create an emotion in the
sense that a photo exhibition was hold that time where the different types of photos which
express love ,affection, sorrow pleasing my eyes.

5. North Book Hall: North Book Hall situated in puran Dhaka. This place is mainly famous for
book publication. Most of the writer In Bangladesh publishes their book in North Book Hall
One famous school named KL Jubilee is there. There is Chowrongy Hotel.

class

the third class was on language of an image. It represents the message of an image. Every image
contains a message of its own.it’s a self direction course we can start and stop whenever we like.
Progressing and entirely at our own place and going back as many times as we want to review
the materials.
WHAT I WILL LEARN:
After completing this course, I will be able to:
 Use the visual vocabulary when discussing images
 Analyze the journalistic value of an image
 Make better language of images
we prepare a statement on some images and a report which gives us to make understand after
completion of the course. I learned Photojournalists, picture editors, designers, reporters and
anyone who wants make better images and use visual language to and briefly discussed them

class

on the fourth class we learned how to use a camera.How many parts there are in a camera,
Models of a DSLR camera. We learned about the manual of a DSLR camera. Manual option is
all about how to control a DSLR.Then we learned about shutter speed, .Aperture, iso .And we
were given assignment on these topics.

8. 5th
class
Feb 13.02.2015:
The 5th class was on self portrait.There we learned about self portrait. A self-portrait is a
representation of an artist, drawn, painted, photographed, or sculpted by the artist. Although self-
portraits have been made by artists since the earliest times.We were discussed on some famous
pictures and portrait and a selfie of my own.Then we were given an assignment on what we
learned about self portrait and selfi
and a statement on my selfie. Myselfie is given below.
Statement: I always like to capture selfie in different way, different places. Caption this photo
of my favorite place in our house. Nowadays selfie is one of the most popular types of
hobby/passion for new or young generation people. By capturing picture is not my serious
passion, but it's just like a great hobby for me .It gives me sweet memories of my
everyday'sactitivities. & inspire me to save all memory in my diary as well as my mind.

9. 6th class
in our 6th class, we learned about white balance of a camera. White balance is the process of
removing unrealistic color casts, so that objects which appear white in person are rendered white
in your photo.
Then we discussed about the value of an aperture. It’s a process of bluring and clearing the
image.The aperture stop of a photographic lens can be adjusted to control the amount
of light reaching the film or image sensor.
we learned, How to capture a shutter speed and intersting images.Measuring shutter speedis
very easy to do. It is the amount of time that the shutter on your camera is open, recorded of a
fraction in a second. Then we prepare an assignment on it.

10. Different white balance
Different depth of field with different aperture values.
Different shutter speedand interesting images.

11. 7th
class

in our 7th class, we learned about The Power of Positive Deviance
PD is an approach to social change that enables communities to discover the wisdom they
already have and then to act on it.

12. Statement: Happiness is sleeping anywhere any place. When people feeling sleepy, then the
place doesn’t matter. This man proves something like that! He just takes a nap on the car wearing
a sun glass with lungi and shirt. The man is sleeping on the car! It quiet amazing and looking
funny to all other people!
