This document provides instructions for a 3rd grade science experiment on plant absorption. It lists the materials needed as plastic bottles, ink, pipettes, carnations and water. The procedure has students fill half a bottle with water, add drops of red or blue ink to each bottle using a pipette, cut the stem of a carnation to improve absorption, and place the carnation in the bottle. Students are prompted to write a hypothesis on what will happen.
