Internal and External Forces and Change
Within the business world, there are different theories of effective change implementation. The
corporation this research focuses on is Duke University Children's Hospital, which is highlighted in
the textbook. The topic of the research paper will focus on the process of implementing change
within the hospital. Implementing change within organizations is very relevant to this course. Not
only is the course called Leading Organization Change, but the topics we have been focusing on
revolve around methods of implementing change. With changes, organizations need to take steps to
fully plan the change in order to ensure a smooth transition and acceptance (Spector, 2013).

This measurement tool utilized measurements of many things such as customer satisfaction,
financial outcomes, processes of the business internally, and the learning/growing abilities of the
organization. These measurements were done in hopes to aide in the reinforcement of all new
behaviors that were expected. Because of these new tactics, within three years, the hospital began
making a profit again (Spector, 2013). What was crucial to the success of Meliones and his team
was the sequence they chose to take during the intervention. First, Meliones kept the staff involved
by facilitating a shared diagnosis process which helped find the root of the hospital's financial
issues. The process of unfreezing is important because this is when group members become
dissatisfied with current performance or situations. Because Meliones used this approach instead of
lecturing the employees on how to change, the employees were given the opportunity to learn and
they felt more involved. This allowed the process of formulating an appropriate response to the
issues be a group effort as opposed to Meliones coming up with a plan on his own that may have
been resisted. The way to overcome defensiveness, when employees resist change, is to get broad–
based participation. The shared diagnosis approach surfaced the connection between their financial
performance versus behavior patterns and brought agreement among employees about what

The World 's External Forces
Humans have the great ability to introspect any of their own actions, which in turn allows them to
think greatly about how they act and treat others, while formulating an internal debate of whether
their actions are commendable or poor. Using this great ability is imperative for humans to have the
proper view and respect for other individuals, including those from a different species. Without
using this feature we cannot understand the plights of other individuals and the deeper reasons
behind why they're occurring and we are stuck with one simple story of life that has yet to be
proofread. We are gifted through evolution with a huge brain that can process a huge amount of
information, which gave us the invention of language, complex thoughts, and being able to see
within ourselves. The most insolent thing we can do with it is to not use it and live in a false world
with a false identity as a result. Biology and the world's external forces can only help humans up to
a certain extent. They can only gift us newer tools to use through a process that takes millions of
years to perform. As complex as the brain is, it is just as easily prone to damage, also known as
trauma. Getting over these traumas take an incredible amount of work to repair. De Zulueta
explained the process of recovering these wounds as being able to "bypass the area using various
techniques. Some of the wounds are not healable" (De Zulueta, 364). The effects of trauma actually

External Forces To Change In Walk Two Moons By Sharon Creech
A.J. Lawless once said, "Catch on fire if you must, sometimes everything needs to burn to the
ground so that we may grow." This is incredibly true to Sal because she goes through significant
external changes that make her lose everything so, that she can build it all back up again the way she
wants. In the book Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, external forces change Sal in many ways.
One of the most significant external forces that cause Sal to change is when her Grams dies because
her Grams is a big part of Sal's life. Sal's Gram is taking her on a road trip to go see her mom.
However, when her Grams dies by a poisonous snake in the water and other things that added to it.
So after that Sal misses her very much. Gram said, "'Oh!'and flailed at the water. She reached down,
pulled up a snake, and gave Gramps a puzzled look. 'It's a water moccasin, isn't it?' she said. 'It's a
poisonous one, isn't it?'" (Pg 88). Sal says,"Gram is buried in the aspen grove where she and
Gramps and were married. We miss our gooseberry every single day," (pg260). Sal was happy ...

This lunatic has been leaving notes around Phoebe's house saying little messages like themes or life
lessons. Also they don't come every day at a specific time they just come randomly throughout the
weeks and days. Sal says, "'I believe it came from the potential lunatic,'" ( page 48 ). Also Sal reads,
" Don't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins," ( page 43). Sal was fine
going over to Phoebe and hanging out and going on miny adventures with her, but soon after the
lunatic came and put these notes Sal and Phoebe started to wonder who could of placed them and
started to freak out a little bit and so did the mom. Also what made this more believable is that the
lunatic asked for Mrs.Winterbottom the first time he came a delivered this note. This is another big

Insanity And External Forces In George Orwell's 1984
When an artist begins painting, the starting work starts off particularly easy. The artist would use a
simple model like fruit. As the artwork progresses, the artwork becomes more elaborate and the
artist starts to paint more difficult objects like landscapes or people so that they can assert their
creativity and emotions on the canvas. External forces affects the artist in a way that helps come up
with how the painting is portrayed. The external forces are the outside factors that influence a
person's lifestyle. With each of the attributes, Creativity, emotions, and external forces are by
themselves, the artist would be perfectly fine. If all attributes were put together then creativity
would be too thought out, the emotions would be too overpowering, and the external forces would
be controlling the brush. The artist would become insane. The Political fiction novel 1984 by

Thoughtcrime was an illegal act that was punishable by vaporisation. All a person had to do was
write the wrong wording down, make a strange questionable face, or say an intolerable phrase about
the government. Winston committed thoughtcrime when he purchased a diary for himself. It was
illegal for him to be creative and for him to assert his talent as a writer. Yet, he breaks the law and
keeps his thoughts in his journal. Winston's journal is his creative mindset throughout the novel. He
uses it to write to his friend, O'Brien, while also using the book as Winston's escape from reality. He

External Forces Affecting The Childcare Industry
Hello, Twila This paper rocks, good job. In my finite mind I did not think about how these external
forces can affect the childcare industry. I agree with the subsequent order that these
microenvironmental forces are placed. Consequently, it is of my opinion, that organizations are
controlled or governed first by political–legal forces. This could also be viewed as 'barriers of entry',
Parnell (2017), as was a part of our lesson last week, do you agree? In other words, if schools do not
abide by governmental rules and regulations it will be illegal for them to continue. Wasn't this one
of the point you were trying to make? Economic forces could be a large challenge in today's society,
considering families with more than one child.

Internal And External Forces In The Publishing Industry
Introduction:
Innovation, information technology and internet penetration have completely changed the
publishing industry. The arrival of the digital book and the rapid progress they have made with their
technological support has certainly revolutionized the international publishing industry and begin to
leave their mark on the publishing market. All kind of the printed books are now available in the
digital form. This digitization of the written language finally reached the book publishing industry;
electronic books now can be purchased and downloaded from various types of electronic online
libraries. E–books can be read on different portable devices, which are now owned by almost the
entire society. The fast development of the technology and the growth of the network ... Show more

These forces can be divided in two meta–groups: the internal and external forces
Among the external forces the main ones which should be considered as important are:
1– The technology growth which includes the information society and the distribution of online
media.
2– The behavior of the customers, the feature that pushes all the entrepreneurs to look for new
strategies and find new ways to stay on the market.
3– The competitive environment in the publishing industry (there are a lot of new books but not all
of them are a history of success in the market, competition after years of immobility and new
phenomena such as self–publishing are pushing prices down)
The publishers and those who organize the entire publishing company should take into consideration
these internal forces:
1– The organizational structure which includes the whole hierarchy and the employees of the
company
2– The organizational strategy and the management strategies, the managers should develop new

External Forces That Led Adolf Hitler's Rise To Power
Internal forces predominantly supported Adolf Hitler's rise to power as a dictator. Such forces
included the use of article 48, which had short–term impacts. Another internal force that was
prevalent in Adolf Hitler's rise to power was resolute policies and demands that came from the
Treaty of Versailles. Although internal forces extensively supported Adolf Hitler's rise to power, one
external force is to be considered. Said effect is the Great Depression, which had a long–term
impact and was critical in Hitler's rise to power. Without the impact of the great depression, Hitler
would encounter great complexity to succeed in his rise to power.
The Treaty of Versailles played a significant role in Hitler's rise to power and had a long–term
impact. The treaty of the Versailles helped Hitler to promote inept leadership and discredit the
Weimar Republic. The Weimar government's failures in securing Germany's stability at the treaty of
Versailles was one of the significant critical weaknesses of Weimar. Allowing such harsh ... Show

Hitler exploited this provision for him to consolidate power.Following the event of the Reichstag
fire, an arson attack on the German Parliament, Hitler persuaded Paul von Hindenburg, The
President of Germany, to grant him the use of article 48. Through the use of article 48, he claimed
that the communist was responsible for the burning down of the Reichstag. Furthermore, through
the use of the decree, the people were divested of free speech, assemblage and other rights
(Jamaedows, 2018). The banning of these rights allowed Hitler and his party to eliminate the
communists (their opposition) and the internal force played a position in his rise to power as a
dictator. Article 48 was the foundation on which Hitler declared he had the constitutional
jurisdiction to become the dictator of Germany (Jamaedows,

Qantas External Forces
2.0 External Analysis
Meanwhile the external analysis refers to the people and the process that are outside the organisation
and it most unlikely that this factor can be controlled by the organisation. External Analysis can be
assessed by using PESTEL.
Political Force:
Political force describes the impact of politics in marketing decisions. It takes into consideration the
influence of a government that may affect the business environment. This includes the business
cycle of a nation, monetary policy, fiscal policies, and trade policies. For instance in 2013 the
Qantas Airlines was severely affected by the political unrest in Thailand which in result, caused a
major concern for the organisations to generate adequate revenue in that particular region. In
relation to that situation, Qantas also didn't manage to obtain their desired target of revenue in the
Middle East region due to the political instability that most Middle East country was facing from
2003 to 2010. In nut shell, the political factor can relentlessly affect the airline industry at a
particular region because people will normally think twice before deciding on their holiday location.
Economical Force:
Economic force refers to those forces that affect how much money people and organisation can
spend and how they choose to spend it. This force examines the economy as a broad picture and its
performance owing to the global trends. This consists of the deflation rate, and inflation rate. For
example, in 2008,

External Forces Shaping The Future Of The Airline Industry
INTRODUCTION The purpose of this report is to inform airline executives about the external
forces affecting their industry and what they can do to keep up with the changing business
atmosphere. The terrorist attacks of 9/11 had a grueling effect on the economy, and while most
industries are almost back to their pre–9/11 financial status, the airline industry is lucky to break–
even. This report will explain three leading trends that are forcing the airline industry to re–think
their stance on strategic planning. The first trend discussed will illustrate the effect that online

Decline in Business Travel
Since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the U.S. economy has been in a struggle to recover from the damage
that was caused. Corporations, in particular, took action by cutting their travel budgets in order to
save money. The budget–cutting forced them to become much more cost–conscious, prompting
them to look for other means of meeting instead of traveling. The way that corporations are dealing
with this is by taking advantage of the new technologies that are available, such as
videoconferencing. Another popular technology that is catching on is web casting––the transmission
of audio and video to personal computers via the Internet (Caplan 2001). Frost and Sullivan, a
consulting firm that specializes in high technology, estimated that in 2003, the web casting business
would see revenues of up to $533 million (Lollis 2003). One U.S. corporation has already
eliminated 20–70% of air travel due to new technologies such as videoconferencing (Hughes 1993).
Also, videoconferencing could replace 13–23% of business–related travel by 2010.

Internal And External Forces In Healthcare
In the healthcare field, there are forces that drive practice and develop change within an
organization. There are both internal and external forces in which not one organization is immune to
(Kotter, 1996). By establishing a vision of the company, a sense of purpose and direction is created,
working towards change within the forces (Huyer, 2014). When people participate in a vision, they
work towards a common goal and identify what needs to be changed in order to reach that vision. In
this paper, a presentation of Banner Health will be discussed, along with its mission and
stakeholders, driving forces, viability, as well as an analysis of forces, a response to change, a vision
for change, and an evaluation of change. Organization's Mission and Stakeholders Banner Health is

Internal forces are within the organization that may impact how the company is made up, shaped, or
specific rules. Structural changes, changes in technology, issues with profitability, and individual or
group speculations are all forces that drive internal organizational development (Juneja, 2018).
Forces externally are outside of the organization that the company has no control or say over.
External forces that can drive change are economics, political forces, outside technological forces,
the government, and competitive pressures (Juneja, 2018). The viability of the organization is
directed by these forces due how these forces are uncontrolled. For example, when a new law or
legislation comes out about health care, the organization is mandated to change practice accordingly
(Salmond & Echevarria, 2017). These transformative changes drive the organization to not only

The Internal And External Forces That Influence Success
SWOT Analysis
NPO leaders and boards of directors must understand the internal and external forces that influence
success. One standard tool for understanding and positioning the organization for overall
improvement is the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis. (NCU,
2016) According to Weese (2009), a SWOT analysis is an honest evaluation of the strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities, and threats inherent in a given situation (Weese, 2009, p. 265). It
involves specify the object of the project and identify the internal and external factors. Many
companies use SWOT analysis to understand their position in the market and develop a plan of
action. Therefore, a SWOT analysis is an important part of the project planning. Strength (internal
factors): attributes of the organization that helps accomplish the project objective. Weaknesses
(internal factors): attributes of the organization that stops the accomplishment of the project goal.
Opportunities (external factors): external conditions that help accomplish the project. Threats
(external factors): external conditions that could impair the project.
The reason for this SWOT analysis is to assemble, break down, and assess data and distinguish key
alternatives confronting the Biotechnology Research and Training Center (Biotech Center) at the
University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) at a given time. SWOT Analysis is a highly
successful method for distinguishing qualities and shortcomings, and of

The Influence of External Forces On Latin American...
No person, community, place, or culture exists in a vacuum, immune to the influence of outside
forces; the effect of these forces is pervasive. This holds true in communities worldwide, including
two in Latin America – Felicidade Eterna, Brazil and Sonqo, Peru. Donna Goldstein's ethnography
on Felicidade Eterna, Laughter Out of Place, demonstrates how life in a Brazilian shantytown is the
direct result of a wide variety of external forces, such as history, government policies, and the class
system. In the ethnography The Hold Life Has, Catherine Allen shows how no community is
impenetrable to the influence of outside forces, even one as culturally strong as Sonqo. Though

Regardless, as will be discussed, these forces are a prevalent and pervasive factor contributing to the
livelihoods of the poor. Sonqo, Peru, the subject of Allen's ethnography, is in sharp contrast to
Felicidade Eterna as the changes seen and discussed are recent. Sonqo had an extremely strong
culture, one that seemed impenetrable to unwanted change caused by outside forces. The people of
Sonqo, the Runakuna, hated the outsiders, the Mistikuna, and a common theme throughout the
ethnography is the Runakuna existing in isolation from the Mistikuna. Maintaining isolation was a
necessity as "[t]he Incas' demands for cultural purity are stringent" (Allen 2002:186). Their culture
was incredibly strong, characterized by ancient rituals such as the passing of the coca, the
prevalence of reciprocity, the worship of the Tirakuna, and more unique traditions that seemed so
well–established that their disappearance was doubtful. The Runakuna tried to resist the outside
forces (Allen 2002:186), but as will be seen, these forces were too strong and change was inevitable.
As seen in Laughter Out of Place, many of the outside forces that affect life in Felicidade Eterna are

External Forces In Pride And Prejudice Essay
The Faults of Forces Within each and every human being on earth, there are internal forces that
drive them to make important choices, affect how they act, and sometimes cause asinine mistakes.
There are also external forces that affect one's actions and decisions such as societal standards and
the people that set those standards.Pride and Prejudice is a television series based on the novel by
Jane Austen. The main character, Elizabeth Bennet, is the second of five daughters. Elizabeth's
family is considered wealthy, but not nearly as wealthy as the other families they engage with. With

a character in Pride and Prejudice that showed excessive pride is Lady Catherine De Bourgh. Lady
Catherine is a wealthy, supercilious woman that wants nothing but the best for her and her family.
Elizabeth Bennet's love interest, Fitzwilliam Darcy, just happens to be Lady Catherine's nephew.
Upon Meeting Elizabeth, Lady Catherine appeared to be churlish towards Elizabeth. This is simply
because Elizabeth's family is not as wealthy as the DeBourgh's so Lady Catherine believed
Elizabeth was vacuous and worthless to her. This feeling of pride that Lady Catherine possessed is
what caused her beloved nephew to marry the travesty of a woman she believed Elizabeth to be.

Examining the Role of the External Forces in Macbeth's Fate
The quote, "Is it the cat's paw that pulls the chestnuts from the fire, or he who holds the cat and
guides the paw?" (Goddard Para 1) asks the question, who is accountable for an action, the
individual who actually conducted the activity, or the individual or individuals who forced the
original person to act the way they did? Macbeth of William Shakespeare's Macbeth is not in control
of his actions because he is acted upon by an external force which is ultimately greater than himself,
thereby not giving him a chance to save himself and act of his own accord. Macbeth's actions aren't
in his own control because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Firstly, Macbeth faces those with supernatural powers, arguably celestial power, which he does not
have. Macbeth's great ability in combat is no match for the power of the beings that seem to have
divine powers, like the witches or Hecate. Secondly, Macbeth and his battle against Malcolm is
compared to the battle between God and Satan. In IV.iii.128–151, Malcolm calls upon God to aid
him in taking Scotland back from Macbeth. Shortly after, the audience sees Macbeth call upon his
servant "Seyton" for assistance in preparing for battle V.iii.21–32.The Anglican audience that this
play was written for would have immediately recognized the allusion to Satan, and realized the
Macbeth would never have a chance of winning this battle, much like how religious teachings tell
the audience Satan does not trump God. Furthermore, throughout the play, characters refer to
Macbeth's actions and to him directly as Satanic. For example, Macbeth talks about Banquo's
murder by saying "Ay, and a bold one, that dare look on that which might appall the devil"
(III.iv.58–59). This has further implications in to the allusion of a lost–cause, divine battle of sorts.
Had Macbeth been able to act without divine will being imposed upon him, he would have been
able to avoid his death and the crimes he ultimately

any potential consumers requiring low–cost options for air travel. The replacement cost for

This increases competition for any airline company who seek to provide greatest flexibility for their
consumers.
In contrast to offering more with flexibility in air travel, JetBlue's other competitor is United
Airlines and Continental Airlines. United Airlines purchased Continental Airlines but continue their
business with their respective names. Industry analysts speculate it as a strategic action to gain more
control of pricing by manipulating supply by cutting capacity and limiting consumer options. The
acquisition also reduces competition over strategic routes. The expected result is higher fares for
consumers. In contrast to the Continental Airline acquisition, the Southwest Airlines and AirTran
Airways acquisition affects JetBlue's business by offering greater capacity and securing cost
advantages. AirTrans strong profit margins synergized the acquisition and immediately increased
Southwest Airlines exposure to airports by 20%.
Economic forces:
The economic forces that affect JetBlue's business include the market for fuel, interest rates,
exchange rates, inflation rates, unemployment rates, and discretionary income. JetBlue's top line
revenue is highly sensitive to economic factors such as interest rates, exchange rates,

To begin with, the creation from the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley encounters an abundance
of external forces which directly effect his final outcome. The powers of isolation, prejudice, and
lack of a mentor all create complications in the creation's life that he must surmount. First of all, the
society segregates the creation as a result of his horrific appearance, demeanor and the society's
inability to understand him. The creation visibly displays his distress while feeling, "absolutely
ignorant, but I knew that I possessed no money, no friends, no kind of property. I was, besides,

External Forces Of Walmart
Environmental forces can have just as big of an impact on any industry as internal forces. It is
imperative that the management of a companies both big and small pay attention to environmental
forces. The reason being is that unlike internal forces, companies have little to no control over
environmental forces. External forces are outside factors or influences that can affect the growth,
operation, or survival of a corporation. To have a better understanding of external forces, one can
refer to Porter's Five Forces. Porter's Five Forces are perfect examples of environmental forces that
can affect the growth, operation, or survival of a corporation. Porter's Five Forces identifies
competition in the industry, power of customers, power of suppliers, threat of substitute products,
and potential of new entrants into the industry as five external forces that shapes every industry.

Economic forces: Many economic forces pose threats to Anheuser–Busch whether its consumer

External Forces In Walk Two Moons
In the novel, Walk Two Moons, by Sharon Creech, the main character Sal changes the most due to
external forces. One of the most significant external forces that changed Sal was the road trip. In the
beginning of the story Sals mom had left her and her dad on an April morning. Then later on in the
story her grandparents take her on a road trip to Lewiston so she can see her mom. On the road trip
she doesn't want to believe her mother is dead but throughout the story she starts to realize that her
mother might be dead. On page 249, the author wrote, "A bus when the of the road here a year ago,"
he said. "Skidded right there, coming out of the last turn, and went sliding of this here overlook and
through the railing and rolled over and over into those trees. A helluva thing. When I came home
that night rescuers were still hacking their way throug the brush to get to in. Only one person
survived, ya know." I knew." This shows that sal is starting to realize that her mother died on the bus
crash. And if Sal didn't want to believe her mother was dead she would have said "no I don't know"
instead of I knew. This changed Sal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

saw on the road trip gave Sal peace in her heart that it wasn't her mom's fault for not coming back.
And that the whole time she was wanting to bring her mom back she wouldn't have been able to.
This external force changed Sal the most because now she doesn't try to say it was her dad's fault

External Forces In Sharon Creech's Walk Two Moon
Sal a 13 year old moves to Euclid Ohio due to her loss of her mother. How would you react to one
of your greatest fears? Such as you had to move due to the fact someone left your family. Think
about how something or someone externally made an impact in your life. Well in the book Walk
Two Moons by Sharon Creech, Sal the main character changes due to many external forces that she
went through. Early in the story Sal Experiences one of the biggest external force in the story "Just

Then all the events that occurred during their stay in Euclid also greatly impacted them in an
external way. So when their mother left it caused them to go through all those external changes.
That was one of the greatest external forces that Sal and her father experienced. Another external
force is early in the story when Sal finds her true friend " I stood there, looking around, and that's
when I saw a face pressed up on the upstairs window next to the door. It was a round girls face, and
it looked afraid. I didn't know it then , but that face belonged to Phoebe Winterbottom, a girl with a
powerful imagination, who would become my friend , and would have many peculiar things happen
to her." (2)This impacted Sal because after her relationship with phoebe grew stronger they hung out
more and all those peculiar things that happened to phoebe also happened to Sal because Sal hung at
with her which then more and more externally impacted her. Sal also realizes how all these events
happen and how they all change her. And then many more unfortunate events are coming

Identity Crisis And An External Driving Force, By David Peck
Self acceptance may be one quality that some individuals cannot obtain. In literature, the protagonist
often struggles to accept their true identity. Characters struggle to either accept themselves or be
accepted by others in the literary work. The search for identity or struggle for acceptance can be
driven by multiple outside forces. Searching for identity is prominent not only in literature, but also
in the real world. An article written by David Peck explains the relationship between an internal
identity crisis and an external driving force. He states that "... the identity crisis has demonstrated its
power as one of the major thematic concerns in literature. Conflict between a person or group and

powerful, and strongly built. All of these traits decrease from caste to caste. Epsilons are very short,
weak, and not smart. Also, children are born through Bokanovsky's process, meaning they are

External Forces: The Rise And Fall Of The USFL
The overall external environment, noted in chapter 2, played a big role in the rise and eventual
downfall of the USFL. There were many outside forces that directly affected the league. One of the
major concepts that dealt with the league and their arrival was the rivalry among a competing firm.
This rivalry was between the USFL and the NFL competing for the fans, the market, and players to
play in their league, especially popular players from college teams. The USFL was improving itself
by getting high profile players and increasing TV ratings for the spring football. The league enjoyed
success early on which included having an entertaining atmosphere during the games that players
and fans enjoyed. This lively atmosphere was apparent in Tampa ... Show more content on

In the general external environment there are seven factors which affect an organization. One of the
areas is the economic segment. The USFL was in the United States economy and they had success
with relatively good television ratings. However, mismanaging money in the form of signing players
above the salary cap with the owners money caused league owners to be in debt and unable to pay
for their teams which led towards the leagues decline. The demographic segment affected the
decision to move the league to the fall or keep it in the spring. The league would need to evaluate
what time to play the games and when during the year to appeal to the majority of the population
and the most ideal age group. The USFL was on the rise by putting teams in more places such as
Boston. The Boston Breakers played at Boston Universities' field which was right by the highway.
This location provided advertising for the team because people would drive by the stadium every
day. During the beginning the USFL was rather popular among the societies it was in and by getting
popular players the league was entertaining fans. The attitude of the fans changed when there was a
proposed move to the fall because they enjoyed being able to have football in the spring. This
attitude change can negatively affect the sociocultural segment with the USFL. A global segment
could possibly have helped the USFL if they decided to do business in a new global market such as
starting a team in Canada. This would expand the market for the USFL even more. In the
technological segment the USFL was trying to get more of their games on popular developing
stations on television. By broadcasting the games on television and using advertising the hope was
to draw in more fans. Last the legal segment proved to be the ultimate decline for the USFL. The

The larger the per capita income the greater amount of tax revenue Country X will have at its
disposal to pay off debt. According to "Determinants and Impact of Sovereign Credit Ratings", by
Richard Cantor and Frank Packer, per capita income affects sovereign credit rating because "the
greater the potential tax base of the borrowing country, the greater the ability of a government to
repay debt. This variable can also serve as a proxy for the level of political stability and other
important factors". Per capita income will be most affected by the Country X's economic
experience. Some key questions to consider about Country X's economic growth 'will Country X be
able to produce a stable economy that has a low unemployment rate?'.
GDP: GDP is a measurement for the size of the economy. If the government and businesses are

lead to increased exports of goods, lower unemployment, increased income, increased revenue, and
government surplus. Innovation in technology will be key focus of Country X to decrease

External Forces Of Darkness In Shakespeare's Play By...
External forces of darkness Darkness is always associated with evil and to a certain extent
deception. In our society, darkness tends to be the primary characteristic of evil. It is also associated
with the supernatural, something Shakespeare uses a lot in his plays. William Shakespeare employs
the imagery of darkness throughout his tragedy plays, although to different extents. He uses dark
images often to describe the horrors and the evils the characters portray, and these intensified
internal tragic flaws are typically the result of their own doom. Noticeably Shakespeare Likes to use
supernatural effects to create eerie and unsettling feelings amongst the audience and or readers.
The forces of darkness of Shakespeare's tragic protagonists come from the idea that the characters
themselves are the reason these bad things happen to them, because they cannot control their
internal tragic flaws which overall in the end turns into evil. This however makes the characters so
fascinating to watch. The external forces of darkness are an aspect of these four tragedies that do
play an important role in the plays. The understanding I got from this connection was that instead of
blaming their weaknesses on themselves the protagonists blamed forces of darkness for their own
issues. Although this evilness was there it wasn't the root cause of the characters going out of
control. It showed me that people are always going to find any way to take the blame off themselves
and put it on others because it is one of the best coping mechanism.
The fall of the characters are triggered by external darkness. External darkness comes within a
character from evil forces. And it seems the protagonists blame their own internal flaws on this
external evil. The characters are driven by this darkness to create devastation inside the play. For
example, Hamlet's death is the end of an external wickedness which follows him throughout the
plays. And like the death of King Lear's beloved daughter Cordelia we see that force of darkness
become overwhelming. Macbeths external force of darkness

The Impact Of External Forces On The Environment
When manipulating a business's strategies it is important to focus on the external factors in the
environment. An external analysis is where a business conducts environmental scanning that present
a company with the key external forces influencing the organization. The facets of external forces
examined are the business environment, remote environment, or the competitive environment. A
business environment is all of the external factors in the general environment that a firm cannot
control, but can affect their strategy. The remote environment is the forces that affect most firms.
Lastly, a competitive environment is the firm's specific industry and its entirety. The external
analysis is pertinent to a company called Dick's Drive– In; without it, Dick's would not be a thriving
popular business today. Dick's Drive–In uses the facets of external forces to market their focus on

External Forces In My Hero Academia, By Izuku Midoriya
There are moments in one's life that can be attributed to external factors or internal factors, or a
mixture of both. However, people have a tendency to reason either external forces or internal forces

which people will perceive outcomes as internally controllable or externally controlled (Myers,

Motivation Concerns Action And Internal And External Forces
We commonly ask ourselves, 'why do people do what they do?' or 'how can they put up with a given
situation?' the answer is that it all boils down to motivation. Motivation is not the behaviour itself
and is not the performance. Motivation concerns action and the internal and external forces, which
influence a person's choice of action. In other words– needs or expectations, these are the forces that
drive people to achieve goals. Farren suggests that we are influenced by the 12 human needs that
have been around since the beginning of recorded history: family, health and well–being,
work/career, economic, learning, home/shelter, social relationships, spirituality, community, leisure,
mobility, and environment/safety. 'Work and private life in the new millennium will continue to
revolve around the 12 needs'. (Mullins, L. (2010))
People's behaviour is determined by what motivates them. Their performance is a product of both
their ability and level of motivation. Motivation can be divided in to two types:
–Extrinsic motivation; which is related to physical rewards such as salary, security, promotion, and
the work environment and conditions of work, and
–Intrinsic motivation; this is related to psychological rewards such as using one's ability, a sense of
challenge and achievement. These rewards can be determined by the actions and behaviour of
individual managers. (Mullins, L. (2010))

Also, according to Standard and Poor 's recent airline industry survey, 90% of 2003 's ticket sales
were electronic. Standard and Poor 's (2004) is also predicting that the percentage will rise up to
95% this year. Since more airlines are putting bookings online, it 's causing them to be more
competitive with prices. Potential passengers want the lowest price possible; if an airline doesn 't
offer that, the individual will switch to the next affordable airline. It forces airlines to keep ticket
prices low. If their prices get too high, people will not be willing to pay and will go for the cheaper
alternative. Airlines are saving money with online booking by eliminating paper tickets. United
Airlines stated that electronic ticketing eliminated 14 accounting and processing procedures and
only costs 50 cents per ticket (Corridore 2004). The paper tickets cost $8; the difference saves
United $7.50 per ticket. That extra money can add up when talking about millions of sales. Industry
wide online ticket sales save carriers about $200 million a year (Haddad 2003). Major airlines are

External and Internal Forces in Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte In Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre, the

within herself to stand on her own. It is not until she finds this internal strength that she can live as a
content individual and weather the distracting demands put on her by the external forces that
surround her. Throughout most of the novel, Jane makes the mistake of looking for this internal
peace through external forces like Mrs. Reed, Mr. Rochester and St. John. To convey this tendency,
Charlotte Brontë constructs her narrative so that, rather than looking within herself to find internal
solace, Jane turns away from cold, alien ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mrs. Reed rejects this role entirely, treating Jane with unmasked cruelty. The first example of this
rejection is also the first strong example of Jane's internal uneasiness being expressed through
discomfort with domestic internal imagery. Jane watches Mrs. Reed reading a story to her children,
longing to join them around the warm fire. This scene around the fire is a classic domestic internal
image because it takes place inside the home, rather than in the environment surrounding the home.
Mrs. Reed won't let Jane join them because Jane is not a happy, carefree child. Jane needs little
more than for this mother figure to reach out to her and draw her into this image of domestic
happiness so that it is no longer an image but a reality. Instead, Mrs. Reed rejects Jane from this
vision of internal domestic happiness, so that Jane must withdraw to her own private nook on the
windowsill to find solace outside of this internal image: Folds of scarlet drapery shut in my view to
the right hand; to the left were the clear panes of glass, protecting, but not separating me from the
drear November day. At intervals, while turning over the leaves of my book, I studied the aspect of
that winter afternoon. Afar, it offered a pale blank of mist and cloud; near, a scene of wet lawn and

Jetblue's Is Societal Aspects That Are Affected By...
JetBlue's is societal aspects that are affected by external forces as well. I would break it down into
four categories to mainly focus on this societal area. They are listed as follows: Economic,
Technological, Political–Legal and Sociocultural. Looking at the economic aspect, the economy has
gotten much better since 2008–2009. There is more income being dispersed around the country.
Also, if you are looking at the current price for oil, that should not be an issue for airlines right now.
The technological aspect shows us how well the ticketing and self–service check–in are doing.
Another thing that could be helpful is even allowing credit cards to be used on flights for more
purchases. The Internet has become a great tool for our society. It allows us to even search around
and find the cheapest flights around. The political–legal aspects that have an effect could be the fear
of terrorists. I know since 9/11, airplanes have been one of the safest ways of transportation with all
the rules and regulations. Another important part that of this aspect is the effect on oil because of
certain internal wars over in the Middle East. Finally, the sociocultural aspect shows us that people
have different opinions on certain topics. For example, I know many people are probably worrying
about the Zika Virus if they are on a plane that has come from a country that is known for having it
or if they are traveling to one of those countries. People want to be updated and know that they are

Introduction Nowadays, due to dynamic change and highly competition in business environment,
firms need to adapt themselves in order to cope with this situation. Strategies are key instruments
that can make firms pass through these obstacles. In order to create strategies, firms need to have a

Internal And External Forces And Change

  • 1. Internal and External Forces and Change Within the business world, there are different theories of effective change implementation. The corporation this research focuses on is Duke University Children's Hospital, which is highlighted in the textbook. The topic of the research paper will focus on the process of implementing change within the hospital. Implementing change within organizations is very relevant to this course. Not only is the course called Leading Organization Change, but the topics we have been focusing on revolve around methods of implementing change. With changes, organizations need to take steps to fully plan the change in order to ensure a smooth transition and acceptance (Spector, 2013). This measurement tool utilized measurements of many things such as customer satisfaction, financial outcomes, processes of the business internally, and the learning/growing abilities of the organization. These measurements were done in hopes to aide in the reinforcement of all new behaviors that were expected. Because of these new tactics, within three years, the hospital began making a profit again (Spector, 2013). What was crucial to the success of Meliones and his team was the sequence they chose to take during the intervention. First, Meliones kept the staff involved by facilitating a shared diagnosis process which helped find the root of the hospital's financial issues. The process of unfreezing is important because this is when group members become dissatisfied with current performance or situations. Because Meliones used this approach instead of lecturing the employees on how to change, the employees were given the opportunity to learn and they felt more involved. This allowed the process of formulating an appropriate response to the issues be a group effort as opposed to Meliones coming up with a plan on his own that may have been resisted. The way to overcome defensiveness, when employees resist change, is to get broad– based participation. The shared diagnosis approach surfaced the connection between their financial performance versus behavior patterns and brought agreement among employees about what ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. The World 's External Forces Humans have the great ability to introspect any of their own actions, which in turn allows them to think greatly about how they act and treat others, while formulating an internal debate of whether their actions are commendable or poor. Using this great ability is imperative for humans to have the proper view and respect for other individuals, including those from a different species. Without using this feature we cannot understand the plights of other individuals and the deeper reasons behind why they're occurring and we are stuck with one simple story of life that has yet to be proofread. We are gifted through evolution with a huge brain that can process a huge amount of information, which gave us the invention of language, complex thoughts, and being able to see within ourselves. The most insolent thing we can do with it is to not use it and live in a false world with a false identity as a result. Biology and the world's external forces can only help humans up to a certain extent. They can only gift us newer tools to use through a process that takes millions of years to perform. As complex as the brain is, it is just as easily prone to damage, also known as trauma. Getting over these traumas take an incredible amount of work to repair. De Zulueta explained the process of recovering these wounds as being able to "bypass the area using various techniques. Some of the wounds are not healable" (De Zulueta, 364). The effects of trauma actually have the potential of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. External Forces To Change In Walk Two Moons By Sharon Creech A.J. Lawless once said, "Catch on fire if you must, sometimes everything needs to burn to the ground so that we may grow." This is incredibly true to Sal because she goes through significant external changes that make her lose everything so, that she can build it all back up again the way she wants. In the book Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, external forces change Sal in many ways. One of the most significant external forces that cause Sal to change is when her Grams dies because her Grams is a big part of Sal's life. Sal's Gram is taking her on a road trip to go see her mom. However, when her Grams dies by a poisonous snake in the water and other things that added to it. So after that Sal misses her very much. Gram said, "'Oh!'and flailed at the water. She reached down, pulled up a snake, and gave Gramps a puzzled look. 'It's a water moccasin, isn't it?' she said. 'It's a poisonous one, isn't it?'" (Pg 88). Sal says,"Gram is buried in the aspen grove where she and Gramps and were married. We miss our gooseberry every single day," (pg260). Sal was happy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also Sal reads, " Don't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins," ( page 43). Sal was fine going over to Phoebe and hanging out and going on miny adventures with her, but soon after the lunatic came and put these notes Sal and Phoebe started to wonder who could of placed them and started to freak out a little bit and so did the mom. Also what made this more believable is that the lunatic asked for Mrs.Winterbottom the first time he came a delivered this note. This is another big external force that changed Sal's ... • 4. Insanity And External Forces In George Orwell's 1984 When an artist begins painting, the starting work starts off particularly easy. The artist would use a simple model like fruit. As the artwork progresses, the artwork becomes more elaborate and the artist starts to paint more difficult objects like landscapes or people so that they can assert their creativity and emotions on the canvas. External forces affects the artist in a way that helps come up with how the painting is portrayed. The external forces are the outside factors that influence a person's lifestyle. With each of the attributes, Creativity, emotions, and external forces are by themselves, the artist would be perfectly fine. If all attributes were put together then creativity would be too thought out, the emotions would be too overpowering, and the external forces would be controlling the brush. The artist would become insane. The Political fiction novel 1984 by George Orwell is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thoughtcrime was an illegal act that was punishable by vaporisation. I agree with the subsequent order that these microenvironmental forces are placed. Consequently, it is of my opinion, that organizations are controlled or governed first by political–legal forces. This could also be viewed as 'barriers of entry', Parnell (2017), as was a part of our lesson last week, do you agree? In other words, if schools do not abide by governmental rules and regulations it will be illegal for them to continue. Wasn't this one of the point you were trying to make? All kind of the printed books are now available in the digital form. • 7. External Forces That Led Adolf Hitler's Rise To Power Internal forces predominantly supported Adolf Hitler's rise to power as a dictator. Such forces included the use of article 48, which had short–term impacts. Another internal force that was prevalent in Adolf Hitler's rise to power was resolute policies and demands that came from the Treaty of Versailles. Although internal forces extensively supported Adolf Hitler's rise to power, one external force is to be considered. Said effect is the Great Depression, which had a long–term impact and was critical in Hitler's rise to power. Without the impact of the great depression, Hitler would encounter great complexity to succeed in his rise to power. The Treaty of Versailles played a significant role in Hitler's rise to power and had a long–term impact. Furthermore, through the use of the decree, the people were divested of free speech, assemblage and other rights (Jamaedows, 2018). • 9. Qantas External Forces 2.0 External Analysis Meanwhile the external analysis refers to the people and the process that are outside the organisation and it most unlikely that this factor can be controlled by the organisation. External Analysis can be assessed by using PESTEL. Political Force: Political force describes the impact of politics in marketing decisions. It takes into consideration the influence of a government that may affect the business environment. This includes the business cycle of a nation, monetary policy, fiscal policies, and trade policies. For instance in 2013 the Qantas Airlines was severely affected by the political unrest in Thailand which in result, caused a major concern for the organisations to generate adequate revenue in that particular region. In relation to that situation, Qantas also didn't manage to obtain their desired target of revenue in the Middle East region due to the political instability that most Middle East country was facing from 2003 to 2010. In nut shell, the political factor can relentlessly affect the airline industry at a particular region because people will normally think twice before deciding on their holiday location. Economical Force: Economic force refers to those forces that affect how much money people and organisation can spend and how they choose to spend it. This force examines the economy as a broad picture and its performance owing to the global trends. This consists of the deflation rate, and inflation rate. For example, in 2008, ... For someone to classify as overweight, the person has to have a Body Mass Index over 25; to be obese a person has to have a Body Mass Index over 30 (American Obesity Association 2004). Decline in Business Travel Since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the U.S. economy has been in a struggle to recover from the damage that was caused. Corporations, in particular, took action by cutting their travel budgets in order to save money. The budget–cutting forced them to become much more cost–conscious, prompting them to look for other means of meeting instead of traveling. The way that corporations are dealing with this is by taking advantage of the new technologies that are available, such as videoconferencing. Another popular technology that is catching on is web casting––the transmission of audio and video to personal computers via the Internet (Caplan 2001). Frost and Sullivan, a consulting firm that specializes in high technology, estimated that in 2003, the web casting business would see revenues of up to $533 million (Lollis 2003). One U.S. corporation has already eliminated 20–70% of air travel due to new technologies such as videoconferencing (Hughes 1993). Also, videoconferencing could replace 13–23% of business–related travel by 2010. ANALYSIS This section of the report will discuss how each trend mentioned will affect the airline industry. • 11. Internal And External Forces In Healthcare In the healthcare field, there are forces that drive practice and develop change within an organization. There are both internal and external forces in which not one organization is immune to (Kotter, 1996). By establishing a vision of the company, a sense of purpose and direction is created, working towards change within the forces (Huyer, 2014). When people participate in a vision, they work towards a common goal and identify what needs to be changed in order to reach that vision. In this paper, a presentation of Banner Health will be discussed, along with its mission and stakeholders, driving forces, viability, as well as an analysis of forces, a response to change, a vision for change, and an evaluation of change. Internal forces are within the organization that may impact how the company is made up, shaped, or specific rules. Structural changes, changes in technology, issues with profitability, and individual or group speculations are all forces that drive internal organizational development (Juneja, 2018). External forces that can drive change are economics, political forces, outside technological forces, the government, and competitive pressures (Juneja, 2018). The viability of the organization is directed by these forces due how these forces are uncontrolled. • 12. The Internal And External Forces That Influence Success SWOT Analysis NPO leaders and boards of directors must understand the internal and external forces that influence success. One standard tool for understanding and positioning the organization for overall improvement is the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis. (NCU, 2016) According to Weese (2009), a SWOT analysis is an honest evaluation of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats inherent in a given situation (Weese, 2009, p. 265). It involves specify the object of the project and identify the internal and external factors. Many companies use SWOT analysis to understand their position in the market and develop a plan of action. Therefore, a SWOT analysis is an important part of the project planning. Strength (internal factors): attributes of the organization that helps accomplish the project objective. Weaknesses (internal factors): attributes of the organization that stops the accomplishment of the project goal. Opportunities (external factors): external conditions that help accomplish the project. Threats (external factors): external conditions that could impair the project. The reason for this SWOT analysis is to assemble, break down, and assess data and distinguish key alternatives confronting the Biotechnology Research and Training Center (Biotech Center) at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) at a given time. • 13. The Influence of External Forces On Latin American... No person, community, place, or culture exists in a vacuum, immune to the influence of outside forces; the effect of these forces is pervasive. This holds true in communities worldwide, including two in Latin America – Felicidade Eterna, Brazil and Sonqo, Peru. Donna Goldstein's ethnography on Felicidade Eterna, Laughter Out of Place, demonstrates how life in a Brazilian shantytown is the direct result of a wide variety of external forces, such as history, government policies, and the class system. In the ethnography The Hold Life Has, Catherine Allen shows how no community is impenetrable to the influence of outside forces, even one as culturally strong as Sonqo. Regardless, as will be discussed, these forces are a prevalent and pervasive factor contributing to the livelihoods of the poor. Sonqo, Peru, the subject of Allen's ethnography, is in sharp contrast to Felicidade Eterna as the changes seen and discussed are recent. Sonqo had an extremely strong culture, one that seemed impenetrable to unwanted change caused by outside forces. The people of Sonqo, the Runakuna, hated the outsiders, the Mistikuna, and a common theme throughout the ethnography is the Runakuna existing in isolation from the Mistikuna. Maintaining isolation was a necessity as "[t]he Incas' demands for cultural purity are stringent" (Allen 2002:186). Their culture was incredibly strong, characterized by ancient rituals such as the passing of the coca, the prevalence of reciprocity, the worship of the Tirakuna, and more unique traditions that seemed so well–established that their disappearance was doubtful. The Runakuna tried to resist the outside forces (Allen 2002:186), but as will be seen, these forces were too strong and change was inevitable. As seen in Laughter Out of Place, many of the outside forces that affect life in Felicidade Eterna are worked into the system, such as the minimum wage and the legal ... External Forces In Pride And Prejudice Essay The Faults of Forces Within each and every human being on earth, there are internal forces that drive them to make important choices, affect how they act, and sometimes cause asinine mistakes. There are also external forces that affect one's actions and decisions such as societal standards and the people that set those standards.Pride and Prejudice is a television series based on the novel by Jane Austen. The main character, Elizabeth Bennet, is the second of five daughters. Elizabeth's family is considered wealthy, but not nearly as wealthy as the other families they engage with. Elizabeth Bennet's love interest, Fitzwilliam Darcy, just happens to be Lady Catherine's nephew. Upon Meeting Elizabeth, Lady Catherine appeared to be churlish towards Elizabeth. This is simply because Elizabeth's family is not as wealthy as the DeBourgh's so Lady Catherine believed Elizabeth was vacuous and worthless to her. This feeling of pride that Lady Catherine possessed is what caused her beloved nephew to marry the travesty of a woman she believed Elizabeth to be. Firstly, Macbeth faces those with supernatural powers, arguably celestial power, which he does not have. Macbeth's great ability in combat is no match for the power of the beings that seem to have divine powers, like the witches or Hecate. Secondly, Macbeth and his battle against Malcolm is compared to the battle between God and Satan. In IV.iii.128–151, Malcolm calls upon God to aid him in taking Scotland back from Macbeth. Shortly after, the audience sees Macbeth call upon his servant "Seyton" for assistance in preparing for battle V.iii.21–32.The Anglican audience that this play was written for would have immediately recognized the allusion to Satan, and realized the Macbeth would never have a chance of winning this battle, much like how religious teachings tell the audience Satan does not trump God. Furthermore, throughout the play, characters refer to Macbeth's actions and to him directly as Satanic. For example, Macbeth talks about Banquo's murder by saying "Ay, and a bold one, that dare look on that which might appall the devil" (III.iv.58–59). This has further implications in to the allusion of a lost–cause, divine battle of sorts. This rivalry was between the USFL and the NFL competing for the fans, the market, and players to play in their league, especially popular players from college teams. The demographic segment affected the decision to move the league to the fall or keep it in the spring. The league would need to evaluate what time to play the games and when during the year to appeal to the majority of the population and the most ideal age group. The USFL was on the rise by putting teams in more places such as Boston. The Boston Breakers played at Boston Universities' field which was right by the highway. This location provided advertising for the team because people would drive by the stadium every day. • 26. External Forces Of Darkness In Shakespeare's Play By... External forces of darkness Darkness is always associated with evil and to a certain extent deception. In our society, darkness tends to be the primary characteristic of evil. It is also associated with the supernatural, something Shakespeare uses a lot in his plays. William Shakespeare employs the imagery of darkness throughout his tragedy plays, although to different extents. He uses dark images often to describe the horrors and the evils the characters portray, and these intensified internal tragic flaws are typically the result of their own doom. Noticeably Shakespeare Likes to use supernatural effects to create eerie and unsettling feelings amongst the audience and or readers. The forces of darkness of Shakespeare's tragic protagonists come from the idea that the characters themselves are the reason these bad things happen to them, because they cannot control their internal tragic flaws which overall in the end turns into evil. This however makes the characters so fascinating to watch. The external forces of darkness are an aspect of these four tragedies that do play an important role in the plays. The understanding I got from this connection was that instead of blaming their weaknesses on themselves the protagonists blamed forces of darkness for their own issues. Although this evilness was there it wasn't the root cause of the characters going out of control. It showed me that people are always going to find any way to take the blame off themselves and put it on others because it is one of the best coping mechanism. The fall of the characters are triggered by external darkness. External darkness comes within a character from evil forces. And it seems the protagonists blame their own internal flaws on this external evil. The characters are driven by this darkness to create devastation inside the play. For example, Hamlet's death is the end of an external wickedness which follows him throughout the plays. And like the death of King Lear's beloved daughter Cordelia we see that force of darkness become overwhelming. Macbeths external force of darkness ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Motivation Concerns Action And Internal And External Forces We commonly ask ourselves, 'why do people do what they do?' or 'how can they put up with a given situation?' the answer is that it all boils down to motivation. Motivation is not the behaviour itself and is not the performance. Motivation concerns action and the internal and external forces, which influence a person's choice of action. In other words– needs or expectations, these are the forces that drive people to achieve goals. Farren suggests that we are influenced by the 12 human needs that have been around since the beginning of recorded history: family, health and well–being, work/career, economic, learning, home/shelter, social relationships, spirituality, community, leisure, mobility, and environment/safety. 'Work and private life in the new millennium will continue to revolve around the 12 needs'. (Mullins, L. (2010)) People's behaviour is determined by what motivates them. Their performance is a product of both their ability and level of motivation. • 36. External Forces Shaping the Future of the Airline Industry INTRODUCTION The purpose of this report is to inform airline executives about the external forces affecting their industry and what they can do to keep up with the changing business atmosphere. The terrorist attacks of 9/11 had a grueling effect on the economy, and while most industries are almost back to their pre–9/11 financial status, the airline industry is lucky to break– even. This report will explain three leading trends that are forcing the airline industry to re–think their stance on strategic planning. The first trend discussed will illustrate the effect that online booking has had on the way airlines do business. The second trend will describe how obesity has caused new standards to be set within the industry. The final ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, according to Standard and Poor 's recent airline industry survey, 90% of 2003 's ticket sales were electronic. Standard and Poor 's (2004) is also predicting that the percentage will rise up to 95% this year. Since more airlines are putting bookings online, it 's causing them to be more competitive with prices. Potential passengers want the lowest price possible; if an airline doesn 't offer that, the individual will switch to the next affordable airline. It forces airlines to keep ticket prices low. If their prices get too high, people will not be willing to pay and will go for the cheaper alternative. Airlines are saving money with online booking by eliminating paper tickets. United Airlines stated that electronic ticketing eliminated 14 accounting and processing procedures and only costs 50 cents per ticket (Corridore 2004). The paper tickets cost $8; the difference saves United $7.50 per ticket. That extra money can add up when talking about millions of sales. Industry wide online ticket sales save carriers about $200 million a year (Haddad 2003). Major airlines are starting to charge extra fees for paper tickets, sometimes up to $25 (Corridore 2004). The goal is to get more flyers to go online to get their tickets, which will end up saving the airlines millions of dollars in the end. If people started to book online more frequently, it could be the cost change that could help many ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. External and Internal Forces in Jane Eyre by Charlotte... External and Internal Forces in Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte In Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre, the eventual goal of Jane Eyre's journeys and struggles as a character is for Jane to be strong enough within herself to stand on her own. It is not until she finds this internal strength that she can live as a content individual and weather the distracting demands put on her by the external forces that surround her. Throughout most of the novel, Jane makes the mistake of looking for this internal peace through external forces like Mrs. Reed, Mr. Rochester and St. John. To convey this tendency, Charlotte Brontë constructs her narrative so that, rather than looking within herself to find internal solace, Jane turns away from cold, alien ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mrs. Reed rejects this role entirely, treating Jane with unmasked cruelty. The first example of this rejection is also the first strong example of Jane's internal uneasiness being expressed through discomfort with domestic internal imagery. Jane watches Mrs. Reed reading a story to her children, longing to join them around the warm fire. This scene around the fire is a classic domestic internal image because it takes place inside the home, rather than in the environment surrounding the home. Mrs. Reed won't let Jane join them because Jane is not a happy, carefree child. Jane needs little more than for this mother figure to reach out to her and draw her into this image of domestic happiness so that it is no longer an image but a reality. Instead, Mrs. Reed rejects Jane from this vision of internal domestic happiness, so that Jane must withdraw to her own private nook on the windowsill to find solace outside of this internal image: Folds of scarlet drapery shut in my view to the right hand; to the left were the clear panes of glass, protecting, but not separating me from the drear November day. At intervals, while turning over the leaves of my book, I studied the aspect of that winter afternoon. Afar, it offered a pale blank of mist and cloud; near, a scene of wet lawn and storm–beat shrub, with ceaseless rain sweeping away wildly before a long and lamentable blast. • 38. Jetblue's Is Societal Aspects That Are Affected By... JetBlue's is societal aspects that are affected by external forces as well. I would break it down into four categories to mainly focus on this societal area. They are listed as follows: Economic, Technological, Political–Legal and Sociocultural. Looking at the economic aspect, the economy has gotten much better since 2008–2009. There is more income being dispersed around the country. Also, if you are looking at the current price for oil, that should not be an issue for airlines right now. The technological aspect shows us how well the ticketing and self–service check–in are doing. Another thing that could be helpful is even allowing credit cards to be used on flights for more purchases. The Internet has become a great tool for our society. It allows us to even search around and find the cheapest flights around. The political–legal aspects that have an effect could be the fear of terrorists. I know since 9/11, airplanes have been one of the safest ways of transportation with all the rules and regulations. Another important part that of this aspect is the effect on oil because of certain internal wars over in the Middle East. Finally, the sociocultural aspect shows us that people have different opinions on certain topics. For example, I know many people are probably worrying about the Zika Virus if they are on a plane that has come from a country that is known for having it or if they are traveling to one of those countries. People want to be updated and know that they are in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
