most special characteristics of this space is its
coverage, created by the porches that were built
between house and house, at the end of medieval
times to take advantage of the scarce space that
existed inside the walled city.

their origins in the twelfth century, although
traditionally it was considered that its origin could be
traced back to the end of Roman times. The bridge
took its current form between the twelfth and
fourteenth centuries, during a general reform that
took place in the middle of the era of economic
expansion and population.
