ASSUMPTIONS
Educational situation is an interdisciplinary and inter class activity. The essence of
this idea is the realization of tasks by groups of students, which include people from
different classes, with different experiences and different skills. The tasks that each
group performs include knowledge and skills from different subjects, but they are
united by the theme of film.
Classes IV - VI were divided into 6 groups, each with the same task to perform. The
task was to make a film on any subject in 2 days, based on the information about the
art of filmmaking learned during the first day of the educational situation. Tasks are
performed according to the instructions prepared in advance. No other classes take
place during this time.
The task is completed from December 7 - 9, 2022, according to the schedule
attached as Appendix 1 to this scenario. The students are not involved in the
preparations and the educational situation is a surprise for them.

THE COURSE OF ACTION
1. The introductory part
It takes place without participation of students and covers organizational
aspects of the task, in particular:
preparing the concept of a cinema at school;
selection of films for the school cinema;
selecting memmbers of student teams so that in each there are
representatives of all classes from IV to VIII;
preparing instructions according to which the groups will perform the task;
preparing (on Tuesday - January 8 - afterschool, when students are no
longer at school) a scenery imitating a cinema
2. The proper part
After all students arrive at school, a brief assembly is held in the school
corridor at 8:00 am, at which students learn why the school looks different
than usual, they get a quainted with the composition of the groups and the
schedule
After meeting in groups, students pick up their tickets and go to the cinema
halls (three groups per room).Before the screening, they get popcorn and
drinks available at a stand in the school corridor. The students watch two
films: ‘Santa Claus’ and ‘Bend It Like Beckham’
after the end of the first screening there is a discussion about the film
modeled on the Film Discussion Clubs. Students talk about the film, its
theme, message, values, and also analyze the technical aspects of its
creation. Groups watch both films on the same day, switching after the
break.
The final stage of the first day is to prepare for an interview with an actress
from the Stefan Jaracz Theater in Olsztyn - Katarzyna Kropidłowska, who
will be a guest at the school the next day to talk about both film and the a
her work. Students search for information about the guest and prepare
questions they want to ask. This stage takes place in six groups.
At the end of the day students read the instructions on what they will do for
the next two days.

rehearsals begin.
the next day is spent on working on the film, i.e. recording further scenes
and editing the work. Students prepare a video in a format that allows it to
be presented to others.

After completing all the tasks, students and teachers gather in the
screening room at the festival, which is a presentation of their film
