1. What Kind Of Media Institution Might
Distribute Your Media Product And
Why?
2. Independent Or Conglomerate?
• After thought we have decided that our
darts themed opening title sequence
would most likely be distributed by and
independent film company such as
Warp Films as it is targeted to a niche
market.
3. Why?
• Like I said on the last slide our opening title
sequence is darts themed meaning that it is
targeted at a niche market.
• Our opening title sequence is mainly targeted
at darts players/young sportsman and
therefore a film company like Warp Films
would be able to make sure that specific
audience is informed of the film.
4. More Reasons Why?
• The location of the film is in a place where not
many people go to. As a result the people
who would want to watch this are going to be
people who are familiar with the location
which is only a small percentage of the world.
• Finally, the attitudes of the players on screen
will only be recognised by people into sport
but because young people are being
represented on screen it appeals more to a
smaller market meaning Warp Films has to
be the option for this film.
5. Why Not Conglomerate?
• Conglomerates like Disney advertise their
products through devices such as TV’s,
phones and computers. This allows them to
inform their mass market of their products.
However we don’t want that as we just need
to target our specific niche market and
therefore would only need an independent
film company such as Warp Films to do what
they are good at and make posters and
trailers to show people in pubs and sports
clubs (for example).
