Independent (Indi) distributors release their film just like the
conglomerates however there are many differences between them these
are…
Budget- Indi companies have limited budget, a large contrast to the endless budget of a mainstream
distributors means they can advertise globally whereas Indi film are advertised in a smaller geographical
area. This means the advertising needs to be more specific and niche.
Audience- Indi’s have a specific and much smaller audience is the difference between the Indi and
conglomerate distributers. Large companies can easily target their audience through promotion such as
Facebook, adverts appearing on the pages of the types of people they want to target.
Marketing Tools- due to large budgets distribution of blockbuster films s more creative and
extravagant. Techniques such as gorilla marketing and viral marketing are comm0nly used but they
come at a cost. An Indi production would use much cheaper and smaller tools such as relying on word
of mouth.

theme therefore their experience would be a benefit as well as their
audience is already targeted at they right people.

As an indie production company Entertainment One will offer the contacts and know how of how to
promote our product to the best audience. Due to their size word of mouth would help promote the
product.
Our product is in a niche market which means the release patters would most likely be in small
theatres and in key city's at the same time so that the maximum amount of people will attend. This
would be after screenings at festivals so that there is already a buzz.
These are some of the things that the company can arrange:
 Theatrical Releases
 On demand
 Hotels and Airlines
 Home entertainment
 Digital ( iTunes , Netflix)
We have a different USP so they could attract new audiences and play on it for the marketing.
