You are advised to spend about 45 minutes on this section.
You attended a talk organised by the Consumer Association on ‘How We Can Save
Water’. As the chairperson of the Consumer Club in your school, you have been asked by
the teacher advisor to write out a report on the talk for your club bulletin.
When writing out the report, use the notes below to help you.
• date
• venue
• speaker
• turn off tap - brush teeth
• use shower - bath
• collect rain water - water plants
• fix leaks - taps
• use washing machine - full load
• wash car – use pail not hose
• turn off tap - if not in use
• do not wash - under running water
• reuse water - cleaning
When writing your report, remember to:
• use all the points given
• address it to your teacher
• give a title
• write down the name of the person who wrote the report
