rapid economic growth.
➤ In 1968, GNP（国民総生産）of Japan became the
world’s No.2 in the capitalism countries.

➤ The Korean war happened in June 25, 1950.
➤ 42% of production facilities and 46% of
factory buildings collapsed by war.
➤ Inflation happened by published a large
quantity of money to raise a war expense.
➤ The government couldn’t prepare a source
of revenue.
⇒South Korea came to receive support from
America.
➤ In the late 1950s, the international trade
balance turned worse.
⇒The economic growth rate fell

8. "Miracle Of Han-gang "
➤ In 1961, the government promoted a plan of five years for
economic development.
⇒This plan was carried out for four times.
➤ South Korea accomplished remarkable economic growth from
1962 through 1971.
➤ The economy accomplished high growth with export increase.
⇒South Korea became NIES(=Newly Industrializing
Economies).

9. Conclusion
➤ Industrial structure turned into the heavy and chemical
industries of the developed country type from the light
industries.
➤ GNP was doubled per person.
➤ The South Korean trade scale grew big, and a ratio among the
international economy rose.
