• Allow the customer to be engaged and catch their attention, catchy
bold titles, colours and presenting a brand image
• Colour, bright colours in a advertisement entice the customer and
makes it look professional and expensive. Eye catching adverts draw
the attention of the customers and audience more.
• Simple designs are often the most effective, things that should be
included are band name, titles, release date not much information is
needed on a magazine advert to keep it effective.
• The magazine advert should make it easy for the customers to be able
to order the song or album it should give a list of places where it is
available for the audience to purchase or view

3. Mr blue sky
The mr blue sky advert is particularly effective the
bold title and catchy colours within the music video
especially the bold graphics draw the attention of the
audience in. The rainbow and bright sun in the corner
catches your attention. The simplistic design of the
magazine advert is particularly good as the
background colour chosen of bright blue works with
theme of the song being happy and fits with the other
graphics and visuals within the magazine advert. The
band name and title of the song has been included
but also the release date of the music video these are
all common conventions of a magazine advert. They
have also chosen to include a way in which the
audience is able to buy the song, along the bottom of
their magazine advert they have chosen to put a
website and also stores such as hmv, amazon, iTunes
and the record labels mtv and Sony.

4. Hattie Chadwick
This students magazine advert is effective, the
catchy bold background colours of the red from the
trees in the background image of the magazine
advert contrast well against the white text allowing
it to be easier for the audience to read the text. The
advert has included song titles, song critic reviews,
band names and release dates. These are all
common things included In a magazine advert for a
band or artist. They have also included a way for the
audience to be able to purchase the song leading to
a Ticketmaster page to buy tickets and different
website where they can hear the song. Also
including record label such as MTV and NME.
However I think it could be improved slightly within
the Photoshop skills as parts of the image of the
girls heads at the bottom of the advert have not
been cut out particularly well and if it was edited
neater I think It would look more effective.

5. Jungo
The simplistic design of this magazine advert works
well, the image in the background of the magazine
advert clearly links to the song itself making it easily
recognisable for the audience. The text used also is
consistent throughout their anxillary tasks making it
easier for the audience to engage throughout. The
simple design is most effective as the magazine advert
is not cluttered and draws the audiences attention.

title/album title also the date of the release these are
all commonly used on magazine adverts. They have
also included a way for the audience to be able to
purchase the new releasing song as they have included
a link to their website where you can purchase the
song and other online sites along the bottom of there
magazine advert including ITunes, amazon, Spotify and
HMV.
