Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), the proposed carbon reporting scheme is set to replace the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC), and its anticipated start date of April 2019 is approaching. 2. Who needs to comply?
• Mandatory reporting framework in effect from April 2019
• Applies to all large UK companies:
• More than 250 employees
• Revenues greater than £36 million
• Balance sheet in excess of £18 million
• 40,000kWh De Minimis

3. How do you report?
• Companies will be required to include in their directors report:
• UK energy use (electricity, gas, and fuel)
• Scope 1 & 2 global greenhouse gas emissions. Scope 3 emissions are
optional
• Energy efficiency actions taken during previous financial year
