2. Islam is spreading
Prophet’s message was
spreading widely, and that the
number of believers was
increasing

3. Abu Talib Protection
When Quraysh realized that they
were not able to avert Abu-
Tâlib and the others from
supporting the Prophet (SAWS)
and protecting him, , they
decided to harming him.

4. Quraysh accused the Prophet,
PBUH
• A magician;
• A poet;
• A fortune-teller;
• Mad

5. Quraysh’s attack
 One day the Prophet (SAWS) walked the
Ka`bah and started his tawaf.
 Group of Quraysh elders jumped at him and
started to attack him.
 Abu Bakr tried to defend him shouting
“ Do you want to kill a man for merely
saying Allah is my Lord ”

6. Uqbah ibn Abee Mu’ayt
 He was a bitter enemy of Islam.
 One day …….
 None of the Muslims were able to
remove it until the Prophet’s daughter
Fâtimah came and removed it.

7. Uqbah ibn Abu-Mu`ayt
Another time,
while the Prophet (PBUH)
was praying at the Ka`bah, the
evil `Uqbah ibn Abu-Mu`ayt
pulled the Prophet’s upper
garment and tried to strangle him.

8. Abu Jahl
Abu-Jahl attempted to crush the
Prophet’s head using a big stone,
while he was prostrating, but Allah
(SWT) protected him.
When Abu-Jahl approached the
Prophet, he suddenly saw a gigantic
and frightful camel and he lost
control of his body and the rock
fell from his hands.

9. Abu Jahl
Frightened, he went back to his people,
his face pale, saying that he saw a
dreadful camel, that he never saw
anything like it before, and that it
was about to attack and swallow him.
“ It was the Angel Jibreel ”

10. Hamzah embraces Islam
Hamzah, the uncle of the Prophet
(SAWS), accepted Islam after a maid
teased him about the way Abu-Jahl
hurt his nephew (Prophet
Muhammad).
“How could you insult Muhammad
when I am following his religion?”

11. Hamzah’s acceptance of Islam
Then Allah guided Hamzah to the light
of Islam, and he was one of the
strongest Muslims against the
enemies of Islam;
Hamzah was a very brave
fighter in Arabia.
