Photography Shoot 1
Photographs to be taken
The purpose of this photo shoot is for a music magazine. I will be taking
photographs of one girl who will be the face to an indie band.
My photo shoot will take place around college and in the photography
studio using props like a guitar and glasses.
My aim for the photographs in the studio is to look professional with a plain
white background so the girl stands out.

Equipment & Props needed
Casual, every day clothing and pops like a guitar, and sunglasses.
Techniques that will be used
I will be using depth of field with the background being blurred and the
foreground being clear. I will experiment with this using the manual settings
on the camera.

2. This is an example of depth of field. The girls in the foreground are clear and
the trees and bushed in the background are blurry
How light quality can be used to help convey the visual message
Pictures taken outside will use natural light however pictures taken inside will
be using staged lighting. Its effective to take pictures outside if you want a
natural feeling to the photograph, but for pictures like the front cover, its
effective to use a photography studio where you can control the lighting.
Different locations will change the way the light exposes the photo.
Health and safety considerations
I will have to consider people will be careful with the wires and lights in the
photography studio in case anyone trips over the wires and injures
themselves.
