ANDROID?
Android is a mobile operating system that helps people to communicate with their
devices actually not knowing the device’s language . It is based on the Linux
Kernel and currently developed by Google . Although Android is primarily
designed for smartphones and tablets , they can be encountered in great deal of
electronic devices , such as computers , tv’s , automobiles ,game consoles and
etc.

Alto, California by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner , Nick
Sears, Chris White.
• On August 17, 2005 Google Inc. acquired
Android.
• The first commercially available smartphone
running Android was the HTC Dream, released on
October 22, 2008.
• Since 2008 there has been numerous updates of
Android OS.

• Both robotic and human shaped, green icon was
created by Irina Blok who was the member of the Google
Inc. in 2007.
• She was inspired by the human shape on the restroom
door and combined it with robotic shape.
