This document discusses the emerging field of virtual action learning (VAL), highlighting its growth amidst advancements in communication technologies and its potential as an alternative to face-to-face action learning (F2F AL). The authors conducted research to explore current practices and the enabling factors for VAL, presenting a six-form model to categorize various practices and noting the advantages and limitations of VAL in comparison to F2F AL. Additionally, the findings indicate diverse applications of VAL across different contexts and emphasize the need for further exploration and research in this innovative approach to action learning.
