The governor of the central bank of Syria –Adeeb Miala – asserted that the allegations of giving up
the protection of Syrian Lira by the government of Syria are not true and it is a part of the war of
media against Syria. Miala said in a call with the Syrian Arab Television “this news is part of the
lies which are not exceeded from their being a new way of pressure on Syrian Lira and the interna-
tional economy. Miala clarified that the concept of “Tawwem “contradicts with the procedures of
the central bank of Syria in order to defend for Syrian Lira.

which cost 7.964 billion.
