Narrative structure (storyline) There are 2 people that have feelings for each
other and the man loves the girl, but the girl is
not sure, there is the images of tidal waves, as
she has not noticed, hence the “your love
washes over me”
Desired audience response To be immersed in the video and enjoy the
music. And relate to the lyrics.
Selling point The lyrics.
Iconography (props, costumes, location) The location is on a beach, filled with rocks and
brilliant visual props. The actors are in casual
clothes, and there is no propsreally.
Cinematic style (camera use, lighting, editing
etc.)
The editing, is in the begging very fast, to match
the beet of the song, then it slows down when
the lead singer comes on. The lighting is mostly
bright and vibrant, but always looks natural. And
there is a nice use of close up shots, and some
wide angled shots of the background.
Editing (use of effects) There is not much post production effects, its
more of a soft finish to the hole thing, there is no
real fades etc. its all sharp fast cuts.
Sound The sound is just mostly the music video, as
there is not intro etc.
Distribution Its mostly on you tube, and music TV shows.
