The older version of ‘The Woman in Black’ had many more names and associations
mentioned in its beginning titles compared to the modern version. This can be
understandable as the 2012 version may not have wanted to bore their audience, which
could be another reason for why there was an introductory scene to set the film before
any beginning titles had started. Another reason that the modern day version wouldn’t
have mention things such as what book it was based on may have been because the
public were expected to know this from the first film anyway. A strange thing from the
2012 version however that was the director wasn’t mentioned at all in the beginning
titles.
The general opening credits order expected from overall films are:
