• Michael installs two recently developed files that create a
PROC front end to Application Performance Analyzer (APA).
• Maureen has developer access to the ITM TEP monitoring
portal and set upper limits on CICS transaction response
times, in a situation, after base lining typical performance by
watching her CICS transaction performance on the TEP.
• Maureen also creates an Actions to take for when the
threshold is exceeded, to run an APA measurement.
• Optionally, Maureen’s Situation and Action may not be Applied,
until Michael approves them.
• Maureen tests the measurement end to end in production as
the sampling measurement is brief and low risk.
• Now anomalies are always measured without any intervention
– no recreates necessary!
• Maureen and Michael marvel how they should have put this
automation in place long ago!!
