My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and
the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it's the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor
activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months.
During summer, you're free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up
early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun
at a beach or simply having dinner together.
I love the hot and humid days that makes you want to dive into a fresh and cold pool. When summer
time starts, you can wear lighter clothes, which are much more comfortable. The weather allows
people to go outdoors to...show more content...
The break calls for staying up late and waking up whenever you want to. Everyone works so hard
during the school year, so they deserve that free time. Summer times are stress free, relaxing, and
basically fun. You don't have to worry about homework, projects, and studying for a test. One of my
favorite summer pastimes is staying up late watching movies and eating junk food, and then waking
up late and having brunch.
Summer season is the best time for festivals and activities. You can never get bored on a summer
day or night. During the day, there are fun activities such as: swimming, sports, picnics, and
barbeques. Friends and family spend a lot of time together during the summer time. There is a lot
of good food, drinks, and fun music. Everyone is laughing and having a good time. Summer
evenings are the best time for concerts, movies, parties, and relaxing with friends. The summer
evenings are beautiful because of the sparkly and glittery city lights. One of the best events of the
year, July Fourth, happens during summer. The celebration of July fourth is very extravagant and
glamorous. People gather around to celebrate and watch the display of fireworks. The vibrant colors
and the loud sound of the fireworks are amazing.
Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with so much to offer. The best thing about this time of
the year is that everyone is so happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is

Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
Over summer vacation, my family and I, including my cousins and grandparents, went to Las
Vegas. One of my favorite places there was going to Paris Las Vegas. It was almost sunset and my
cousins and I were getting ready to go to Paris Las Vegas. I put on my shoes and was ready to
walk out of our hotel room door right when my mom stopped me and told me to wear a jacket.
Even though it was still summer, the nights in Las Vegas got cold. Once everyone was ready my
cousins and I ran to the car. It was almost sunset and my cousin really wanted to see the sunset in the
mini eiffel tower at the hotel. Once we got on the road, we got trapped in a sea of cars, busses, and
other vehicles. My cousin clasped her hands over her ears. The loud city noises blared through the
streets. It was hard to imagine that one city in the middle of a desert became one of the most
popular resort cities in the world. As we were driving up to the hotel, we saw a gleaming mini eiffel
tower on top of a elegant building. I knew that it was the french themed hotel, Paris. After getting
through the traffic, my dad parked the car in the parking lot at the hotel. We took an elevator up to
the 2nd floor, and when we got there, I was amazed at what stood in front of me. The interior of the
hotel looked just like Paris. The roof had been painted with puffy white clouds that looked so
realistic. The ground was paved with smooth, shiny, black stone. There were street lamps that are
like the ones in France. There

Summer of 2017 was probably my best summer so far. I went to my dream place and somewhere
else I have heard so much about! Before this vacation, I was so excited and I thought this place
was going to be all movie stars and celebrities, but I was wrong. Over the summer I went to Los
Angeles, California and Las Vegas Nevada. Now, I am not telling you about two different trips, this
was all in one trip. On August fifth, 2017 we drove two hours to Indianapolis and got on a plane to
go to California. The flight was about four hours, three hours and fifty– eight minutes to be exact.
We had first class. My dad and sister sat next to each other and my mom and I sat next to each
other. Once we landed at the airport in Los Angeles, we had to get our suitcases and our rental car.
Getting our suitcases took about forty–five minutes and getting the car rental took about an hour and
a half. Once we got to our hotel, it was ten o'clock p.m. their time, Twelve o 'clock a.m. our time.
We were all hungry because even though we had food on the plane, most of us didn't eat it. So
we ordered pizza and went to bed. The next day, we went to the Walk of Fame and saw all the
movie stars names on the stars. We also went on some tours, such as TM Z. TM Z was probably
my favorite thing we did there, it was so much fun! We also went to the Chinese Theater museum
and went to go see the Hollywood sign, from afar. We also went to this very nice restaurant, my dad
enjoyed a lot. The next few days, we

Summer Vacation Essay
It was June 2nd, school was out, it's now summer vacation. Genesis' parents, Gregory and Raina,
were taking a month off of work to spend it in New York. They had forgotten Genesis' and her
siblings, Nikki and Marquise were going to be out of school at this time. So they had announced to
them that they were going to New York with them. "Marquise, Genesis, Nikki, come down here and
hear the good news" Gregory muttered. "Your mother and I have decided that you'll be attending
New York with us for part of your summer vacation."
Marquise, Genesis, and Nikki all screamed with excitement. They all had to pack right away,
because they were going to be leaving the next morning. They had packed and went to sleep. The
next morning around 7:00 a.m they were heading out the door to catch a flight for 9:00. When they
arrived at the airport it was full of hundreds of people leaving off for summer vacation. It took them
forever to board onto the plane, because of the long wait. When taking flight, leaving California, the
whole plane shouted in excitement. It was a successful take off, until.Until the plane started shaking,
they were flying straight through a storm. "Thump thump thump" As the the rain pounded on the
plane. The clouds were as black as the sky without a moon or any lights. " Everybody please
remain calm", the pilot said. " Oxygen mask will be released, please tighten your seatbelt, and hold
on tight. We will be through thestorm

Summer Vacation Essay The most eventful thing that I have done this summer was to go and
visit the Indianapolis Zoo. I had a really great time especially in hindsight. There were tons of
amazing animals and I got to see some relatives of mine. It was a very long and eventful day even
more so when you compare it to the rest of my summer. I'd even go as far to say the drive there
and back alone was enough to make this the most eventful day of the summer! That day I woke
up and did my normal morning routine; I took a relaxing hot shower, used the restroom, ate
breakfast (yum), brushed my teeth, then I opened my bedroom closet to choose my outfit and
get dressed for the eventful day to come. I then left my room to see a frantic mess of my siblings
and mom getting ready for the trip. Now naturally I was told we were going to the zoo last night,
however with my terrible memory (my memory is most definitely not something to be proud
about...) I forget about the whole entire ordeal. After overhearing my two sisters screaming and
fighting about getting dressed, I thought to myself "How is it that there room is much bigger
than ours"(my brother and I share a room and so do my two sisters) "and yet they fight over
getting dressed in it twice as much as we do?". Then I suddenly remembered that today was the
trip to the zoo. I then went to go put on sunscreen because I already had a bad experience with
sunburns earlier in the summer (ouch). After applying a nice coat of sunscreen I was ready
minuets before my two sisters were (as always). Now the drive there wasn't too eventful, but it
was nice to see the scenery of Indianapolis; I saw statues, gigantic fountains, and skyscrapers ( the
next one always seemed to always stretch higher than the last). As soon as we made it to the zoo
my family and I promptly went inside to use the bathrooms (which had some cool animal art on
the stalls). Afterwards there was a bird show where the birds flew around and did some tricks. I
thought to myself "This is a little gimmicky." but it was still fun. Then I suddenly noticed pair
familiar faces approaching us, It was my oldest sister (who is a adult and no longer lives with us)
and her 2 year old son (They arrived late as always...).

Summer Vacation
It's not often that our family gets to fly back to the states to visit family so when my brother and I
flew back during the summer of 2015, we were more than excited to be going back to South
Carolina to see close relatives that we'd been missing. Since our relatives live on the coast it is
often customary to visit the beach during our vacation to kick back and enjoy ourselves. After
moving to Germany our experience with the sun and beach had been little to none. Needless to say,
we were all excited to be going to the beach again since it had been some years and we'd forgotten
what it was like to be at one. That summer vacation my brother and I were quickly reminded of all
the fun to be had, the people we could meet, and the lessons we could learn while we were at the
beach. When first arriving at the beach we were greeted by the sights of wet sand, crashing
waves, strong blowing winds, and a hot radiating sun. After the initial setup of towels, umbrellas,
and applying of sunscreen my cousins, brother and I bolted for the waves that rose up the shore.
Swimming in a pool is nothing like swimming in the ocean, everything felt more extreme as we
floated over waves and were dragged around by the current. It wasn't long until my brother and I
were reminded of a childhood joy of ours, which was facing off against the waves. We would swim
to a place where we could stand firmly and try to remain standing as waves would crash down often
taking us with them. When we'd finish our fun

"Hooray!" I shouted, I am so excited about today. Why am I so enthusiastic you may ask, because
today is the first day of summer vacation. We were on our way to the beach Every year me and my
family visit the beach for a whole month. So as you can see there is much to be excited about. As we
drove along I could barely wait, I could smell the fresh, salty ocean air. I asked my parents "are we
there yet." They replied with one word, yes! This year in particular is extra exciting because we
are going to rent a new beach house. We had arrived as I leapt up out of the car to my dismay the
new beach house wasn't as great as I had anticipated.
My parents and I went for a walk around town. As I was dragged into the Pirate Museum I listened
to stories of the pirates and their treasure. The stories were not at all what I had expected they
surprisingly were very interesting. One story in particular was the most interesting about pirates
who had supposedly buried their treasure on this very beach. When we returned home I went
outside searched for more about this new found buried treasure. I felt the hot, dry rough grains of
sand on my feet. As I searched I heard someone call out "hey what are you doing." As I looked up
I saw the face of the kid from the beach house down the street. I replied, "I am looking for the
buried treasure."The kids name was Joe and he wanted to help me on my quest. We decided that the
next day we would look for clues around town.
The next day we split up and looked for clues I went to learn more from the Pirates Museum and
it's workers and he asked around people town and looked for other places that might help. From
my second trip at the museum, I was told much more about the pirates who sailed the deadly
ocean seas. I could practically feel the windy, cold rough seas of the ocean. I learned this city
used to be the hideout for the pirates, and that there was also a map hidden somewhere to lead
you to the treasure. Part of the map was kept here in a secret room but the rest was yet to be
found. I was overjoyed with this incredible news and ran quickly to tell Joe. If we found the rest of
the map we could find the treasure. I saw my new friend Joe walking towards me, he had also

It was in third part of our summer vacation . We went to the park not far from where we use to
live when we were younger I believe it was at least two or three blocks away from where we all
lived. Whenever we went there we would always have to past thru this middle school and we go
by the side of the school but there always these two rottweilers behind a fence barking and barking
jumping on the fence trying to come at us but we were all use to it my little brother Austin was the
main the trouble for Paul and me Steven. Any way as we walk there was this alley of the school
where the trees would bridge in to each other creating a beautiful sight with a nice shade with a nice
summer breeze that would blow straight into someone.
That monday morning I woke up and my friends and I thought we should play baseball that morning
so I asked mom, "Can I go play baseball with my friends mom?"
Of course she said "Only If you take your two other brothers alright."
"But mom."
"But Nothing. If you want to go you have to take your brothers. Now go wake your brothers if you
want to go and tell them breakfast is ready as well." While cleaning the kitchen before she leaves to

"What I Did This Summer"
Summer vacation. A time to relax, kick back and sleep. Well, at least for most people. My
summer vacation was packed. I ended up going to five states in a total of three weeks. One whole
week was spent in D.C., but that is a story for another time. Today, I want to tell you about my
excursion down south with my dad's side of the family. The trip was crazy, hectic, and full of a lot
of driving; it was really fun at the same time. I hope my explanation of this trip will come close to
the amount of joy this summer trip brought me. I had not flown since I was in second grade.
Getting to fly again made me overjoyed! My grandparents were flying to Midway Airport from
Las Vegas, so they decided to have my brother, Jonathan, and I fly with them to Memphis. After
about a half hour of waiting, we finally saw my Nana and Papa. The four of us hadn't seen each
other since our trip to D.C. a few weeks prior to this. We were really happy to see each other! My
brother, grandparents, and I waited on the plane for at least forty–five minutes before it took off. The
wait was extremely long and tedious. When the plane finally took off, the fun part started. I
received a soda, peanuts, and I was able to chew my sweet mint gum. The plane ride was
joyous...until the last ten minutes of the flight. I get extremely stuffed up in the head when I have
too much dairy, and that day was no exception. For the last ten minutes of the flight, it felt as though

Essay On Summer Vacations
"Mom! I am bored."
Summer vacations barely begun and children start a chorus of complaints. They are bored. They
have nothing to do. There is no excitement in their life. The days are too long, too dull or too hot
and the grumbling goes on and on. Children wait for summer holidays with a great deal of
anticipation but once vacations start they are no longer happy.
Most mothers are at a loss as to what to do and how to fill the long summer days with enough
activities and excitement to keep children occupied and out of trouble. Keeping energetic and bored
children cooped up inside homes for 10 weeks is like inviting insanity and trouble.
It is not only the children who do not know how to manage their overflowing energy and idle hands
and minds...show more content...
Rashid wants her children to develop creative and artistic abilities– something she feels cannot be
done during regular school days. "It is almost criminal to waste the time children have during
summer vacations. There are so many new things they can learn and experience. School books and
good grades are fine, but for today's competitive world, children need to learn new skills to be
confident and have a well rounded personality."
Other parents are of the view that summer camps bring organization and discipline in their children's
life during the holidays. "I feel very frustrated when my children have breakfast at lunch time and
demand lunch in late afternoon. Routines disintegrate very quickly with bored kids. They sleep
away the morning and come alive at night like things out of a horror movie," one mother laughed.
"When they have a new activity to look forward to, it is amazing how punctual and responsible they
can become."
While many mothers were unanimous in their approval of summer camps, they also agreed that
means of transportation and high fees charged by institutions were major deterrents especially when
there is more than one child to be sent. Although more and more schools, organizations and even
fast food restaurants are offering summer activities for kids, many remain out of reach of even upper
class income

Samantha Young and her mom Rebecca Young never saw eye to eye. Her mom planned on breaking
the news to her that she will attend a summer camp that summer. It was almost the end of the spring
semester and Samantha would soon be on summer vacation from school. The last day of the
semester and she came from school, Samantha dashed through the mahogany double front door of
their house and ran up the steep stairs heading towards her room. From her bedroom there was a loud
screeching sound from Samantha slamming her body onto her leopard print queen size comforter,
then her mom immediately walks into her room behind her.
"Honey what's the matter?" she asked in a concerned voice.
Samantha with her face in her pillow murmurs "Nothing mom," she starts to sit upright so her mom
could hear her properly. Samantha removed her short brunette bang which hindered her puppy
brown eyes from seeing the concerned look on her mom's face. "I just couldn't wait for the semester
to end so I can begin my summer vacation. I have so many exciting things in mind that we can do."
Samantha not knowing that her mom had already decided to send her to a Camp. Rebecca looked at
her with confusion in her eyes, because now she must break the news to Samantha about the plans
she has for her.
"Samantha, I have already made plans for you to attend camp this summer, it'll be a great
experience and it will help you grow spiritually." Doesn't that sound like a fun idea?" Rebecca asked.

Essay on My Summer Vacation
When I was ten years old my Father took me to Universal Studios in Orlando Florida during summer
vacation. It is one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It was my first time on an airplane,
so I was a little nervous. It felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Finally, I
heard the pilot say "prepare for take off." I'll admit I was a little scared, but as the plane lifted off the
runway, I was ok. The plane ride there was three hours long. It was a little bumpy, but other then

My cousin Audrey saw how many times it went upside–down and decided not go on. Brandon and I
made fun of her, but once I was strapped to my seat, I was having second thoughts myself. We
took off in what felt like a fraction of a second. Before I knew it, I was being whipped around
sharp turns and flipped around loops. It was so much fun! When we got off and walked toward
the exit, we saw a wall of television screens, which was showing candid shots of us on the ride.
We both looked terrified. It was hilarious. My mom still has the picture. We went on a few more
rides and then stopped to get something to eat. Now it was my turn to pick a ride. We walked to
one called Dr. Dooms Fear Fall. We sat down in a row of four, with our legs dangling. After a few
minutes, the voice of Dr. Doom was heard. I don't remember exactly what he said, but I do
remember him saying " Prepare to Die!" All of a sudden we shot up 150 feet into the air and then
pushed back down faster then gravity. We thought it was over, but it shot us up again. It was a very
exhilarating experience. The day was coming to an end. Audrey picked the last ride. She chose the
Dueling Dragons. It was a double track, near–miss roller coaster. You had a choice between fire and
ice. My Dad and I chose fire, and My Uncle Joe, Brandon and Audrey chose ice. We started off fast,
going down a straightaway, heading right for each other. Then both coasters tore up with a series of

Persuasive Essay On Summer Vacations
You may have heard about the other student's summer vacation. Some may inform you of what
they think about school, what they want to do after school and what their goals in life are. I find
myself interesting at times, but not always. I can tell you that I've been to many fun places over
the years. I have been thinking long and hard about what I want to be when I grow up, and I have
my life goals set before me. I can't wait for you to learn all about me. When I travel to new places
it makes me wonder, will this vacation be fun? Will I just be doing the same thing everyday?
Normally while on vacation you wake up early in the morning and get your day started. You
would probably also take your time, why? It's a vacation. Well with the Shaulis family you will
wake up early in the morning, skip breakfast for a nice size brunch, then we hurry to get out the
door that way we get to the place we have to be at on–time. I hope you enjoy learning a little about
my vacations. I have been to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios both are in Florida. Both
destinations have many fun things to do. For instance, going on rides, walking around, seeing
shows and just having a nice time with your family. I have also been to South Carolina. In South
Carolina we went to Myrtle Beach and my uncles Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. The best place
we went in my opinion is the Air Force Base. You are probably asking yourself why would I pick
that? The reason I enjoyed it so much is because I finally got to see and learn what my uncle
actually does. That was a great experience for me. I have also been to Ohio. We went to Cedar
Point, Kalahari and Lake Erie. There are so many fun things to do in all of these places! You have
roller coaster rides, water parks and nature. Out of those options I pick Cedar Point and my
favorite because there are a lot of fun rides and even a water park to cool off in. Finally, within
our home state of Pennsylvania I've been to Hershey, Splash Lagoon, and Seven Springs. I love
going to these places. You get to make your own chocolate bar in Hershey, swimming at Splash
Lagoon, and mountain climbing and much more at Seven Springs. Out of these options I would
have to pick Hershey as my

Summer Vacation
Do you know the reason why we have summer vacation? I believe that summer vacation is not just
about sleeping in and appreciating the time off, it includes spending time with your close friends and
family, and that is exactly what I did this summer break. There were many fascinating things I did
this summer and in this essay I will tell you a few of things I enjoyed doing.
Spending time with close relatives and is exactly what I did to kickoff my summer even though

For that rest of the day we went to a restaurant called Puckett's and apparently it is right down the
road from Justin Timberlake's recording studio/private house, All of the kids including me went
to his front and touched his door knob and I might of took a sneak peek inside his house. The last
day we were there we visited a beautiful waterfall, even though it was a lovely site the water part
was very deadly. The reason why it was deadly was there were big boulders everywhere you
stepped, and there were water moccasins which are venomous snakes that lurked around in the
water. When it was time to live the waterfall a water moccasin was about 20 feet in front of me and
my friends, thankfully another guy ran into the water scaring the snake away making it safe for me
and my buddies to get out. Honestly out of the whole entire summer this had to be my favorite
vacation.
This next vacation isn't really a vacation it's more of an event but it was fun, hilarious, and
relaxing like a vacation. After Tennessee we went seven days later we went to Detroit, Michigan
for this thing called a muck fest. A muck fest is 5k with muddy obstacles that you run into on your
way to the finish line. The race only lasted 2 hours for my mom, dad, and other family members to
finish. The best part was when I was able to do the last three obstacles and get

Summer vacation! The beach! The mountains! Friends! Airplanes! Then, there was me with no
plans, just drawing and eating, and other monotonous things, very repetitive. If someone asked,
"What is something new and interesting you did this summer?" I would of had to reply with, "I
tasted a new potato chip flavor, it was good. What did you do?", but that wasn't the case, because
my parents then all of a sudden, in the very last minute scheduled a vacation, It was a three day
vacation. The vacation consisted my family going to New Hampshire, Maine, then Boston. First
of all, if you didn't know, New Hampshire is located South West from Maine. Go north, then wow!
Hello Canada! Next, Maine is located South and a little West from New Brunswick, one of the
provinces in Canada. Fun fact, Fredericton is the capital of News Brunswick! Lastly, Boston is
Massachusetts' capital and largest city. Another fun fact, it's one of the oldest cities in the U.S. The
people that are involved in the events are me, of course, others are my sister, mother, father, and the
people of the inn and hotel. A delightful and enjoyable summer vacation! Our first stop, New
Hampshire as I introduced it, it is South West from Maine, it's capital is Concord. When we first
entered New Hampshire, there were buildings, students, and workers walking everywhere in
different directions. It actually, sort of reminded me of New York City, of course New York City was
more crowded, had more large buildings, and different, but still it reminded me of New York
City. My family went to New Hampshire riding a car, so we had been in the car for seven hours.
Well we kept driving North, the outside started to change, the buildings became less more
common, then before I knew it there were trees in everywhere, just no trees on the path we drove
on. There were yellow deer crossing signs ornamented the tall and green trees. Then when we
arrived at the inn, I mean to go to the inn, we took like three stops to ask where this inn was. The
inn was around trees, were we had to park the car was not the parking lot you would see normally.
The parking lot had no lines to indicate where to park. It was just covered in small rocks as tiny
pebbles, gravel, sand, and etc. The

It was a beautiful day to try something new at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California. It was

The board came in a heat shrunk plastic cover with the fins, leash, and directions enclosed. We
ripped off the plastic cover like it was wrapping paper and gathered the tools we needed: a quarter
to fit the extremely large flathead hole on the top of the fins, a knife to cut the leash to the desired
length, and a black Sharpie to write our names on it. After we had finished, my father came to
inspect our work. He concluded his inspection by placing the surfboard in the back of the truck,
implying that we were successful and that it would be ready for tomorrow. I was entranced by the
thought of surfing, I dreamt all night about monstrous waves like in the movies, and gliding along
side dolphins as they played in the ocean. That morning I woke up like it was Christmas, early,
energized, curious, and excited. In preparation, I put on my swimsuit and practiced paddling and
popping up on my skateboard as I rode around the campground at seven o'clock in the morning. It
seemed like forever until my family woke up and was finally ready to go to the beach. Luckily,
Mason and I only had to walk a total of 200 meters to get the board into the water; unfortunately, half
of the trek was through soft sand, and took over five minutes.
Eventually, we were ready to make our first surfing memories. Mason was elected to go first since
he was older and it was his present. My father waded into the water and pushed

My Summer Vacation in Florida Essay
Have you ever been on a vacation? To me a vacation is a time to be with friends or family. When I
think of vacations, I think of packing, the flight or drive, and relaxation. Not only is it very exciting
to go on a vacation, but you get closer to the people that go with you.
Linda, my best friend's mom had asked me if I would want to go with their family to Florida. When
she asked me I thought she was kidding, but when she said, "I need to know because if you are I
need to get you a airplane ticket," I knew she was serious. I was so excited I could have kissed her. I

Although the drive was three hours the time went fast before I knew it we were at the airport.
I had never been on an airplane. My stomach felt like I had just eaten rotten fish and I was about
to throw up. I was so excited to go, but at the same time I was scared because I had never been on
a plane. We waited in the airport for at least an hour. Finally our flight was called, as I walked on
the plane my heart was about to jump out of my skin. After the flight attendant had went through all
the rules and we put our seat belts on the plane was going to take off. I thought the worst thing
about the flight was taking off and landing. I didn?t like taking off and landing because my ears
popped. Other than the fact that my ears popped taking off and landing the flight went smooth, we
didn?t crash. When the plane landed, I couldn?t wait to stand on solid ground again.
When I got off the plane the first thing I saw was a giant palm tree. It wasn?t like the palm trees
you see in pictures. This palm tree was kind of ugly it was about thirty feet tall, the leaves at the
top looked like they were dead, and it was leaning to the right. Other than that palm tree it was a

because there wasn?t much humidity. Before we could leave we had to wait for

packing preparation. Many travelers overlook the most crucial element of a trip: packing their
suitcase. Packing is the simplest part of preparing for vacation: travelers throwing clothes and shoes
into a bag and zipping it up. Yet, packing seems to cause the most chaos. Traveler's often forget
chargers, misplace socks, and find out too late, nothing matches. The problem of not having space
stems from over packing unnecessary items and exceeding the weight and size limits of luggage. I
will teach travelers how to avoid disasters while packing for summer vacation. Summer vacation is
a time for relaxation, not added stress and confusion. Not only do I need to take into consideration
the size of the suitcase I will need, but also pack items appropriate to events I plan on attending
during my trip. When I pack, I prioritize fitting all articles of clothing and pieces into my suitcase.
When I take note of destination I want to visit and the activities available, create a checklist of all
items needed for my destinations, and maximize space in my suitcase by organizing and getting
clothing pieces that are interchangeable, I can ensure a stress–free packing experience for my
summer vacation. When I think about summer holidays, my spending time in the water, partying,
and enjoying nice dinners, is what first comes to mind. I always consider packing items
appropriate to each activity. When I plan on swimming, I pack bathing suits, sandals, and towels.
I consider the size of different items I will need and choose the appropriate size suitcase. For this
reason, I have a separate bag for larger items like towels and shoes. When I move onto parties, I
like to be comfortable; I will be dancing to the music and building relationships with other party
goers, so I do not want to feel restricted. I pack clothing pieces like shirts,

Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
In February during spring break, my Dad, nicknamed Moose, arranges a trip to stay on Seagull
Lake. This is not like your ordinary trip; this is winter camping in the Boundary Waters, which
requires hard work, the willingness to help out at all times, and a lot of preparation. This trip
consists of cross country skiing, pulling 300 lbs on a sled across a long frozen lake, sleeping in tents
in weather that is 20 degrees below zero, and portaging 2 miles to get the chance to fish on a secret
fishing lake. The people that go on this 5 day trip every year are Moose, my second cousin Paul
Gerten and his dog, my uncle Danny, their friend Sterling Black, and I, although Danny had knee
issues for a while which didn't allow him to come this trip. The year was 2016, and Sterling decided
to bring his nephew named Birkley, whose mother had just passed away. Also, Moose brought along
his work friend Brett Strand from Lifetime Fitness.
We start our trip by driving up to my cabin in Silver Bay, Minnesota. The first night is a Thursday
night without the old men's wives, so we go to a bar called the the Green Door where the men
drink a bunch of beers and watch the wild game. Birkley and I of course only drink Coca Cola.
Being the one out of the group that is too young to drink alcohol, and also the kid that can drive, I
have to sober cab for the men. When we get back to the cabin, many games of cribbage are played
and many more beers are finished by the men. Waking up in the morning is

Pros And Disadvantages Of Summer Vacation
Summer Vacation Sept. 14, 2017 Summer break is one of the very few things teachers and
students look forward to, so is it fair to have it cut short and will it be a disadvantage? For starters,
when students start their vacation, the first two things in their mind is; no more sleeping early,
and video games, which both of those will occupy them for at least half of the summer, if not
more. In some countries like China and Germany, Summer breaks last around 6 weeks and those
countries tend to have higher IQ marks with Germany having a total average IQ score of 102 and
China with 105. In the end, children will still have to review what they've learned over the past
few school years when they get back to school, so basically, having more yet shorter breaks
during the school year is more convenient and less time will be wasted for not only students, but
teachers and principals too. In conclusion, the logical answer is; summer vacation should last for
only about 6 weeks as it will help students more than playing video games and watching TV.
Summer vacation is labelled a time in between two school years in which you may take a break
from studying and focus on sports... well expected to focus on sports and extra summer activities,
but 2 months is quite a long time to be away from school considering only 1 in 10 students will
study and review what they have learned over the previous school years and more. For example,
Pabla Amandeep, 13, says if she weren't in school she'd just be

Essay About Summer Vacation

  • 1. My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it's the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you're free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun at a beach or simply having dinner together. I love the hot and humid days that makes you want to dive into a fresh and cold pool. When summer time starts, you can wear lighter clothes, which are much more comfortable. The weather allows people to go outdoors to...show more content... The break calls for staying up late and waking up whenever you want to. Everyone works so hard during the school year, so they deserve that free time. Summer times are stress free, relaxing, and basically fun. You don't have to worry about homework, projects, and studying for a test. One of my favorite summer pastimes is staying up late watching movies and eating junk food, and then waking up late and having brunch. Summer season is the best time for festivals and activities. You can never get bored on a summer day or night. During the day, there are fun activities such as: swimming, sports, picnics, and barbeques. Friends and family spend a lot of time together during the summer time. There is a lot of good food, drinks, and fun music. Everyone is laughing and having a good time. Summer evenings are the best time for concerts, movies, parties, and relaxing with friends. The summer evenings are beautiful because of the sparkly and glittery city lights. One of the best events of the year, July Fourth, happens during summer. The celebration of July fourth is very extravagant and glamorous. People gather around to celebrate and watch the display of fireworks. The vibrant colors and the loud sound of the fireworks are amazing. Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with so much to offer. The best thing about this time of the year is that everyone is so happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation Over summer vacation, my family and I, including my cousins and grandparents, went to Las Vegas. One of my favorite places there was going to Paris Las Vegas. It was almost sunset and my cousins and I were getting ready to go to Paris Las Vegas. I put on my shoes and was ready to walk out of our hotel room door right when my mom stopped me and told me to wear a jacket. Even though it was still summer, the nights in Las Vegas got cold. Once everyone was ready my cousins and I ran to the car. It was almost sunset and my cousin really wanted to see the sunset in the mini eiffel tower at the hotel. Once we got on the road, we got trapped in a sea of cars, busses, and other vehicles. My cousin clasped her hands over her ears. The loud city noises blared through the streets. It was hard to imagine that one city in the middle of a desert became one of the most popular resort cities in the world. As we were driving up to the hotel, we saw a gleaming mini eiffel tower on top of a elegant building. I knew that it was the french themed hotel, Paris. After getting through the traffic, my dad parked the car in the parking lot at the hotel. We took an elevator up to the 2nd floor, and when we got there, I was amazed at what stood in front of me. The interior of the hotel looked just like Paris. The roof had been painted with puffy white clouds that looked so realistic. The ground was paved with smooth, shiny, black stone. There were street lamps that are like the ones in France. There Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay On Summer Vacation Summer of 2017 was probably my best summer so far. I went to my dream place and somewhere else I have heard so much about! Before this vacation, I was so excited and I thought this place was going to be all movie stars and celebrities, but I was wrong. Over the summer I went to Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas Nevada. Now, I am not telling you about two different trips, this was all in one trip. On August fifth, 2017 we drove two hours to Indianapolis and got on a plane to go to California. The flight was about four hours, three hours and fifty– eight minutes to be exact. We had first class. My dad and sister sat next to each other and my mom and I sat next to each other. Once we landed at the airport in Los Angeles, we had to get our suitcases and our rental car. Getting our suitcases took about forty–five minutes and getting the car rental took about an hour and a half. Once we got to our hotel, it was ten o'clock p.m. their time, Twelve o 'clock a.m. our time. We were all hungry because even though we had food on the plane, most of us didn't eat it. So we ordered pizza and went to bed. The next day, we went to the Walk of Fame and saw all the movie stars names on the stars. We also went on some tours, such as TM Z. TM Z was probably my favorite thing we did there, it was so much fun! We also went to the Chinese Theater museum and went to go see the Hollywood sign, from afar. We also went to this very nice restaurant, my dad enjoyed a lot. The next few days, we Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Summer Vacation Essay It was June 2nd, school was out, it's now summer vacation. Genesis' parents, Gregory and Raina, were taking a month off of work to spend it in New York. They had forgotten Genesis' and her siblings, Nikki and Marquise were going to be out of school at this time. So they had announced to them that they were going to New York with them. "Marquise, Genesis, Nikki, come down here and hear the good news" Gregory muttered. "Your mother and I have decided that you'll be attending New York with us for part of your summer vacation." Marquise, Genesis, and Nikki all screamed with excitement. They all had to pack right away, because they were going to be leaving the next morning. They had packed and went to sleep. The next morning around 7:00 a.m they were heading out the door to catch a flight for 9:00. When they arrived at the airport it was full of hundreds of people leaving off for summer vacation. It took them forever to board onto the plane, because of the long wait. When taking flight, leaving California, the whole plane shouted in excitement. It was a successful take off, until.Until the plane started shaking, they were flying straight through a storm. "Thump thump thump" As the the rain pounded on the plane. The clouds were as black as the sky without a moon or any lights. " Everybody please remain calm", the pilot said. " Oxygen mask will be released, please tighten your seatbelt, and hold on tight. • 5. Summer Vacation Essay Summer Vacation Essay The most eventful thing that I have done this summer was to go and visit the Indianapolis Zoo. I had a really great time especially in hindsight. There were tons of amazing animals and I got to see some relatives of mine. It was a very long and eventful day even more so when you compare it to the rest of my summer. I'd even go as far to say the drive there and back alone was enough to make this the most eventful day of the summer! That day I woke up and did my normal morning routine; I took a relaxing hot shower, used the restroom, ate breakfast (yum), brushed my teeth, then I opened my bedroom closet to choose my outfit and get dressed for the eventful day to come. I then left my room to see a frantic mess of my siblings and mom getting ready for the trip. Now naturally I was told we were going to the zoo last night, however with my terrible memory (my memory is most definitely not something to be proud about...) I forget about the whole entire ordeal. After overhearing my two sisters screaming and fighting about getting dressed, I thought to myself "How is it that there room is much bigger than ours"(my brother and I share a room and so do my two sisters) "and yet they fight over getting dressed in it twice as much as we do?". Then I suddenly remembered that today was the trip to the zoo. I then went to go put on sunscreen because I already had a bad experience with sunburns earlier in the summer (ouch). After applying a nice coat of sunscreen I was ready minuets before my two sisters were (as always). Now the drive there wasn't too eventful, but it was nice to see the scenery of Indianapolis; I saw statues, gigantic fountains, and skyscrapers ( the next one always seemed to always stretch higher than the last). As soon as we made it to the zoo my family and I promptly went inside to use the bathrooms (which had some cool animal art on the stalls). Afterwards there was a bird show where the birds flew around and did some tricks. I thought to myself "This is a little gimmicky." but it was still fun. Then I suddenly noticed pair familiar faces approaching us, It was my oldest sister (who is a adult and no longer lives with us) and her 2 year old son (They arrived late as always...). • 6. Summer Vacation It's not often that our family gets to fly back to the states to visit family so when my brother and I flew back during the summer of 2015, we were more than excited to be going back to South Carolina to see close relatives that we'd been missing. Since our relatives live on the coast it is often customary to visit the beach during our vacation to kick back and enjoy ourselves. After moving to Germany our experience with the sun and beach had been little to none. Needless to say, we were all excited to be going to the beach again since it had been some years and we'd forgotten what it was like to be at one. That summer vacation my brother and I were quickly reminded of all the fun to be had, the people we could meet, and the lessons we could learn while we were at the beach. When first arriving at the beach we were greeted by the sights of wet sand, crashing waves, strong blowing winds, and a hot radiating sun. After the initial setup of towels, umbrellas, and applying of sunscreen my cousins, brother and I bolted for the waves that rose up the shore. Swimming in a pool is nothing like swimming in the ocean, everything felt more extreme as we floated over waves and were dragged around by the current. It wasn't long until my brother and I were reminded of a childhood joy of ours, which was facing off against the waves. We would swim to a place where we could stand firmly and try to remain standing as waves would crash down often taking us with them. When we'd finish our fun Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation "Hooray!" I shouted, I am so excited about today. Why am I so enthusiastic you may ask, because today is the first day of summer vacation. We were on our way to the beach Every year me and my family visit the beach for a whole month. So as you can see there is much to be excited about. As we drove along I could barely wait, I could smell the fresh, salty ocean air. I asked my parents "are we there yet." They replied with one word, yes! This year in particular is extra exciting because we are going to rent a new beach house. We had arrived as I leapt up out of the car to my dismay the new beach house wasn't as great as I had anticipated. My parents and I went for a walk around town. As I was dragged into the Pirate Museum I listened to stories of the pirates and their treasure. The stories were not at all what I had expected they surprisingly were very interesting. One story in particular was the most interesting about pirates who had supposedly buried their treasure on this very beach. When we returned home I went outside searched for more about this new found buried treasure. I felt the hot, dry rough grains of sand on my feet. As I searched I heard someone call out "hey what are you doing." As I looked up I saw the face of the kid from the beach house down the street. I replied, "I am looking for the buried treasure."The kids name was Joe and he wanted to help me on my quest. We decided that the next day we would look for clues around town. The next day we split up and looked for clues I went to learn more from the Pirates Museum and it's workers and he asked around people town and looked for other places that might help. From my second trip at the museum, I was told much more about the pirates who sailed the deadly ocean seas. I could practically feel the windy, cold rough seas of the ocean. I learned this city used to be the hideout for the pirates, and that there was also a map hidden somewhere to lead you to the treasure. Part of the map was kept here in a secret room but the rest was yet to be found. I was overjoyed with this incredible news and ran quickly to tell Joe. If we found the rest of the map we could find the treasure. I saw my new friend Joe walking towards me, he had also Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Narrative Essay About Summer Vacation It was in third part of our summer vacation . We went to the park not far from where we use to live when we were younger I believe it was at least two or three blocks away from where we all lived. Whenever we went there we would always have to past thru this middle school and we go by the side of the school but there always these two rottweilers behind a fence barking and barking jumping on the fence trying to come at us but we were all use to it my little brother Austin was the main the trouble for Paul and me Steven. Any way as we walk there was this alley of the school where the trees would bridge in to each other creating a beautiful sight with a nice shade with a nice summer breeze that would blow straight into someone. That monday morning I woke up and my friends and I thought we should play baseball that morning so I asked mom, "Can I go play baseball with my friends mom?" Of course she said "Only If you take your two other brothers alright." "But mom." "But Nothing. If you want to go you have to take your brothers. Now go wake your brothers if you want to go and tell them breakfast is ready as well." While cleaning the kitchen before she leaves to work "Gotcha mom" Man I could never go anywhere with my friends unless my brothers come. I can't believe she doesn't get that I'm a senior and austin is a 6th grader. "Come on Austin wake up ? Paul! Wake up man I want to go the park to meet up with my friends." • 9. Summer Vacation "What I Did This Summer" Summer vacation. A time to relax, kick back and sleep. Well, at least for most people. My summer vacation was packed. I ended up going to five states in a total of three weeks. One whole week was spent in D.C., but that is a story for another time. Today, I want to tell you about my excursion down south with my dad's side of the family. The trip was crazy, hectic, and full of a lot of driving; it was really fun at the same time. I hope my explanation of this trip will come close to the amount of joy this summer trip brought me. I had not flown since I was in second grade. Getting to fly again made me overjoyed! My grandparents were flying to Midway Airport from Las Vegas, so they decided to have my brother, Jonathan, and I fly with them to Memphis. After about a half hour of waiting, we finally saw my Nana and Papa. The four of us hadn't seen each other since our trip to D.C. a few weeks prior to this. We were really happy to see each other! My brother, grandparents, and I waited on the plane for at least forty–five minutes before it took off. The wait was extremely long and tedious. When the plane finally took off, the fun part started. I received a soda, peanuts, and I was able to chew my sweet mint gum. The plane ride was joyous...until the last ten minutes of the flight. I get extremely stuffed up in the head when I have too much dairy, and that day was no exception. For the last ten minutes of the flight, it felt as though I had Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Essay On Summer Vacations "Mom! I am bored." Summer vacations barely begun and children start a chorus of complaints. They are bored. They have nothing to do. There is no excitement in their life. The days are too long, too dull or too hot and the grumbling goes on and on. Children wait for summer holidays with a great deal of anticipation but once vacations start they are no longer happy. Most mothers are at a loss as to what to do and how to fill the long summer days with enough activities and excitement to keep children occupied and out of trouble. Keeping energetic and bored children cooped up inside homes for 10 weeks is like inviting insanity and trouble. It is not only the children who do not know how to manage their overflowing energy and idle hands and minds...show more content... Rashid wants her children to develop creative and artistic abilities– something she feels cannot be done during regular school days. "It is almost criminal to waste the time children have during summer vacations. There are so many new things they can learn and experience. School books and good grades are fine, but for today's competitive world, children need to learn new skills to be confident and have a well rounded personality." Other parents are of the view that summer camps bring organization and discipline in their children's life during the holidays. "I feel very frustrated when my children have breakfast at lunch time and demand lunch in late afternoon. Routines disintegrate very quickly with bored kids. They sleep away the morning and come alive at night like things out of a horror movie," one mother laughed. "When they have a new activity to look forward to, it is amazing how punctual and responsible they can become." While many mothers were unanimous in their approval of summer camps, they also agreed that means of transportation and high fees charged by institutions were major deterrents especially when there is more than one child to be sent. Although more and more schools, organizations and even fast food restaurants are offering summer activities for kids, many remain out of reach of even upper class income Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Narrative Essay About Summer Vacation Samantha Young and her mom Rebecca Young never saw eye to eye. Her mom planned on breaking the news to her that she will attend a summer camp that summer. It was almost the end of the spring semester and Samantha would soon be on summer vacation from school. The last day of the semester and she came from school, Samantha dashed through the mahogany double front door of their house and ran up the steep stairs heading towards her room. From her bedroom there was a loud screeching sound from Samantha slamming her body onto her leopard print queen size comforter, then her mom immediately walks into her room behind her. "Honey what's the matter?" she asked in a concerned voice. Samantha with her face in her pillow murmurs "Nothing mom," she starts to sit upright so her mom could hear her properly. Samantha removed her short brunette bang which hindered her puppy brown eyes from seeing the concerned look on her mom's face. "I just couldn't wait for the semester to end so I can begin my summer vacation. I have so many exciting things in mind that we can do." Samantha not knowing that her mom had already decided to send her to a Camp. Rebecca looked at her with confusion in her eyes, because now she must break the news to Samantha about the plans she has for her. • 12. Essay on My Summer Vacation When I was ten years old my Father took me to Universal Studios in Orlando Florida during summer vacation. It is one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It was my first time on an airplane, so I was a little nervous. It felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Finally, I heard the pilot say "prepare for take off." I'll admit I was a little scared, but as the plane lifted off the runway, I was ok. The plane ride there was three hours long. It was a little bumpy, but other then that, everything went well. We landed in Orlando. The airport was gigantic. After walking for a while, we found the baggage claim. It took us a while to find all of our suitcases. We rented a car and drove to my...show more content... My cousin Audrey saw how many times it went upside–down and decided not go on. Brandon and I made fun of her, but once I was strapped to my seat, I was having second thoughts myself. We took off in what felt like a fraction of a second. Before I knew it, I was being whipped around sharp turns and flipped around loops. It was so much fun! When we got off and walked toward the exit, we saw a wall of television screens, which was showing candid shots of us on the ride. We both looked terrified. It was hilarious. My mom still has the picture. We went on a few more rides and then stopped to get something to eat. Now it was my turn to pick a ride. We walked to one called Dr. Dooms Fear Fall. We sat down in a row of four, with our legs dangling. After a few minutes, the voice of Dr. Doom was heard. I don't remember exactly what he said, but I do remember him saying " Prepare to Die!" All of a sudden we shot up 150 feet into the air and then pushed back down faster then gravity. We thought it was over, but it shot us up again. It was a very exhilarating experience. The day was coming to an end. Audrey picked the last ride. She chose the Dueling Dragons. It was a double track, near–miss roller coaster. You had a choice between fire and ice. My Dad and I chose fire, and My Uncle Joe, Brandon and Audrey chose ice. We started off fast, going down a straightaway, heading right for each other. Then both coasters tore up with a series of twists, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Persuasive Essay On Summer Vacations You may have heard about the other student's summer vacation. Some may inform you of what they think about school, what they want to do after school and what their goals in life are. I find myself interesting at times, but not always. I can tell you that I've been to many fun places over the years. I have been thinking long and hard about what I want to be when I grow up, and I have my life goals set before me. I can't wait for you to learn all about me. When I travel to new places it makes me wonder, will this vacation be fun? Will I just be doing the same thing everyday? Normally while on vacation you wake up early in the morning and get your day started. You would probably also take your time, why? It's a vacation. Well with the Shaulis family you will wake up early in the morning, skip breakfast for a nice size brunch, then we hurry to get out the door that way we get to the place we have to be at on–time. I hope you enjoy learning a little about my vacations. I have been to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios both are in Florida. Both destinations have many fun things to do. For instance, going on rides, walking around, seeing shows and just having a nice time with your family. I have also been to South Carolina. In South Carolina we went to Myrtle Beach and my uncles Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. The best place we went in my opinion is the Air Force Base. You are probably asking yourself why would I pick that? The reason I enjoyed it so much is because I finally got to see and learn what my uncle actually does. That was a great experience for me. I have also been to Ohio. We went to Cedar Point, Kalahari and Lake Erie. There are so many fun things to do in all of these places! You have roller coaster rides, water parks and nature. Out of those options I pick Cedar Point and my favorite because there are a lot of fun rides and even a water park to cool off in. Finally, within our home state of Pennsylvania I've been to Hershey, Splash Lagoon, and Seven Springs. I love going to these places. You get to make your own chocolate bar in Hershey, swimming at Splash Lagoon, and mountain climbing and much more at Seven Springs. Out of these options I would have to pick Hershey as my Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I believe that summer vacation is not just about sleeping in and appreciating the time off, it includes spending time with your close friends and family, and that is exactly what I did this summer break. There were many fascinating things I did this summer and in this essay I will tell you a few of things I enjoyed doing. For that rest of the day we went to a restaurant called Puckett's and apparently it is right down the road from Justin Timberlake's recording studio/private house, All of the kids including me went to his front and touched his door knob and I might of took a sneak peek inside his house. The last day we were there we visited a beautiful waterfall, even though it was a lovely site the water part was very deadly. The reason why it was deadly was there were big boulders everywhere you stepped, and there were water moccasins which are venomous snakes that lurked around in the water. When it was time to live the waterfall a water moccasin was about 20 feet in front of me and my friends, thankfully another guy ran into the water scaring the snake away making it safe for me and my buddies to get out. Honestly out of the whole entire summer this had to be my favorite vacation. This next vacation isn't really a vacation it's more of an event but it was fun, hilarious, and relaxing like a vacation. After Tennessee we went seven days later we went to Detroit, Michigan for this thing called a muck fest. A muck fest is 5k with muddy obstacles that you run into on your way to the finish line. The race only lasted 2 hours for my mom, dad, and other family members to finish. The best part was when I was able to do the last three obstacles and get Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation Summer vacation! The beach! The mountains! Friends! Airplanes! Then, there was me with no plans, just drawing and eating, and other monotonous things, very repetitive. If someone asked, "What is something new and interesting you did this summer?" I would of had to reply with, "I tasted a new potato chip flavor, it was good. What did you do?", but that wasn't the case, because my parents then all of a sudden, in the very last minute scheduled a vacation, It was a three day vacation. The vacation consisted my family going to New Hampshire, Maine, then Boston. First of all, if you didn't know, New Hampshire is located South West from Maine. Go north, then wow! Hello Canada! Next, Maine is located South and a little West from New Brunswick, one of the provinces in Canada. Fun fact, Fredericton is the capital of News Brunswick! Lastly, Boston is Massachusetts' capital and largest city. Another fun fact, it's one of the oldest cities in the U.S. The people that are involved in the events are me, of course, others are my sister, mother, father, and the people of the inn and hotel. A delightful and enjoyable summer vacation! Our first stop, New Hampshire as I introduced it, it is South West from Maine, it's capital is Concord. When we first entered New Hampshire, there were buildings, students, and workers walking everywhere in different directions. It actually, sort of reminded me of New York City, of course New York City was more crowded, had more large buildings, and different, but still it reminded me of New York City. My family went to New Hampshire riding a car, so we had been in the car for seven hours. Well we kept driving North, the outside started to change, the buildings became less more common, then before I knew it there were trees in everywhere, just no trees on the path we drove on. There were yellow deer crossing signs ornamented the tall and green trees. Then when we arrived at the inn, I mean to go to the inn, we took like three stops to ask where this inn was. The inn was around trees, were we had to park the car was not the parking lot you would see normally. The parking lot had no lines to indicate where to park. It was just covered in small rocks as tiny pebbles, gravel, sand, and etc. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Descriptive Essay About My Summer Vacation It was a beautiful day to try something new at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California. It was a long year in fourth grade, and my family and I were excited to start our summer vacation. As we pulled our trailer on the southbound I–5 freeway towards San Diego, I could see the temperature gauge on my father's truck slowly dropping to the mid 70's. We were in a packed car with my father, mother, older brother, younger sister, snacks and drinks everywhere, and me, entranced by the game on my brand new iPod that I recently received on my birthday. I had gone on camping trips my whole life so I was thrilled to go to a new beach and campground, but I was bewildered when we pulled into a Costco parking lot. I asked my father, "Why are we at...show more content... The board came in a heat shrunk plastic cover with the fins, leash, and directions enclosed. We ripped off the plastic cover like it was wrapping paper and gathered the tools we needed: a quarter to fit the extremely large flathead hole on the top of the fins, a knife to cut the leash to the desired length, and a black Sharpie to write our names on it. After we had finished, my father came to inspect our work. He concluded his inspection by placing the surfboard in the back of the truck, implying that we were successful and that it would be ready for tomorrow. I was entranced by the thought of surfing, I dreamt all night about monstrous waves like in the movies, and gliding along side dolphins as they played in the ocean. That morning I woke up like it was Christmas, early, energized, curious, and excited. In preparation, I put on my swimsuit and practiced paddling and popping up on my skateboard as I rode around the campground at seven o'clock in the morning. It seemed like forever until my family woke up and was finally ready to go to the beach. Luckily, Mason and I only had to walk a total of 200 meters to get the board into the water; unfortunately, half of the trek was through soft sand, and took over five minutes. Eventually, we were ready to make our first surfing memories. Mason was elected to go first since he was older and it was his present. My father waded into the water and pushed Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Summer Vacation in Florida Essay Have you ever been on a vacation? To me a vacation is a time to be with friends or family. When I think of vacations, I think of packing, the flight or drive, and relaxation. Not only is it very exciting to go on a vacation, but you get closer to the people that go with you. Linda, my best friend's mom had asked me if I would want to go with their family to Florida. When she asked me I thought she was kidding, but when she said, "I need to know because if you are I need to get you a airplane ticket," I knew she was serious. I was so excited I could have kissed her. I was going to Florida with my best friend, Lisa, and her family. The people from Lisa's family that were going were Tina, Randy, Ashley, and Linda. Tina is Lis'?s sister, ...show more content... Although the drive was three hours the time went fast before I knew it we were at the airport. I had never been on an airplane. My stomach felt like I had just eaten rotten fish and I was about to throw up. I was so excited to go, but at the same time I was scared because I had never been on a plane. We waited in the airport for at least an hour. Finally our flight was called, as I walked on the plane my heart was about to jump out of my skin. After the flight attendant had went through all the rules and we put our seat belts on the plane was going to take off. I thought the worst thing about the flight was taking off and landing. I didn?t like taking off and landing because my ears popped. Other than the fact that my ears popped taking off and landing the flight went smooth, we didn?t crash. When the plane landed, I couldn?t wait to stand on solid ground again. When I got off the plane the first thing I saw was a giant palm tree. It wasn?t like the palm trees you see in pictures. This palm tree was kind of ugly it was about thirty feet tall, the leaves at the top looked like they were dead, and it was leaning to the right. Other than that palm tree it was a beautiful day. It was ninety seven degrees, but it didn?t feel like Minnesota?s ninety seven degrees because there wasn?t much humidity. Before we could leave we had to wait for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Summer Vacation Packing for Summer Vacation There is nothing I love more than going on a summer vacation with my family and friends. I like to lay on sweltering days by the pool side, eat delicious dinners, and party endlessly. Summer trips make memories for years to come. But, I cannot enjoy the beautiful scenery and experience the carefree attitudes without preparing for the trip proper packing preparation. Many travelers overlook the most crucial element of a trip: packing their suitcase. Packing is the simplest part of preparing for vacation: travelers throwing clothes and shoes into a bag and zipping it up. Yet, packing seems to cause the most chaos. Traveler's often forget chargers, misplace socks, and find out too late, nothing matches. The problem of not having space stems from over packing unnecessary items and exceeding the weight and size limits of luggage. I will teach travelers how to avoid disasters while packing for summer vacation. Summer vacation is a time for relaxation, not added stress and confusion. Not only do I need to take into consideration the size of the suitcase I will need, but also pack items appropriate to events I plan on attending during my trip. When I pack, I prioritize fitting all articles of clothing and pieces into my suitcase. When I take note of destination I want to visit and the activities available, create a checklist of all items needed for my destinations, and maximize space in my suitcase by organizing and getting clothing pieces that are interchangeable, I can ensure a stress–free packing experience for my summer vacation. When I think about summer holidays, my spending time in the water, partying, and enjoying nice dinners, is what first comes to mind. I always consider packing items appropriate to each activity. When I plan on swimming, I pack bathing suits, sandals, and towels. I consider the size of different items I will need and choose the appropriate size suitcase. For this reason, I have a separate bag for larger items like towels and shoes. When I move onto parties, I like to be comfortable; I will be dancing to the music and building relationships with other party goers, so I do not want to feel restricted. I pack clothing pieces like shirts, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation In February during spring break, my Dad, nicknamed Moose, arranges a trip to stay on Seagull Lake. This is not like your ordinary trip; this is winter camping in the Boundary Waters, which requires hard work, the willingness to help out at all times, and a lot of preparation. This trip consists of cross country skiing, pulling 300 lbs on a sled across a long frozen lake, sleeping in tents in weather that is 20 degrees below zero, and portaging 2 miles to get the chance to fish on a secret fishing lake. The people that go on this 5 day trip every year are Moose, my second cousin Paul Gerten and his dog, my uncle Danny, their friend Sterling Black, and I, although Danny had knee issues for a while which didn't allow him to come this trip. The year was 2016, and Sterling decided to bring his nephew named Birkley, whose mother had just passed away. Also, Moose brought along his work friend Brett Strand from Lifetime Fitness. We start our trip by driving up to my cabin in Silver Bay, Minnesota. The first night is a Thursday night without the old men's wives, so we go to a bar called the the Green Door where the men drink a bunch of beers and watch the wild game. Birkley and I of course only drink Coca Cola. Being the one out of the group that is too young to drink alcohol, and also the kid that can drive, I have to sober cab for the men. When we get back to the cabin, many games of cribbage are played and many more beers are finished by the men. Waking up in the morning is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Pros And Disadvantages Of Summer Vacation Summer Vacation Sept. 14, 2017 Summer break is one of the very few things teachers and students look forward to, so is it fair to have it cut short and will it be a disadvantage? For starters, when students start their vacation, the first two things in their mind is; no more sleeping early, and video games, which both of those will occupy them for at least half of the summer, if not more. In some countries like China and Germany, Summer breaks last around 6 weeks and those countries tend to have higher IQ marks with Germany having a total average IQ score of 102 and China with 105. In the end, children will still have to review what they've learned over the past few school years when they get back to school, so basically, having more yet shorter breaks during the school year is more convenient and less time will be wasted for not only students, but teachers and principals too. In conclusion, the logical answer is; summer vacation should last for only about 6 weeks as it will help students more than playing video games and watching TV. Summer vacation is labelled a time in between two school years in which you may take a break from studying and focus on sports... well expected to focus on sports and extra summer activities, but 2 months is quite a long time to be away from school considering only 1 in 10 students will study and review what they have learned over the previous school years and more. For example, Pabla Amandeep, 13, says if she weren't in school she'd just be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
