1.0 Introduction
Immigrant entrepreneurship is a relatively new phenomenon that explores the setting up and
managing of business by immigrants in their adoptive countries. Brush et al. (2010) note that
immigrant entrepreneurship has become a type of growth sector because both the host and ethnic
countries benefits from it. The driving factors of immigrant entrepreneurship are distinct from other
forms of entrepreneurship because they accrue from necessity, and the need to survive in dismal
employment situations. Bandyopadhyay et al. (2017) posits that immigrants are drawn to specific
countries – mostly the Organisation for Economic Co–operation and Development (OECD)
countries – due to the push factors such as unemployment and lack of amenities in the home country
and pull factors such as potential for employment and better service provision in the host country.
However, these expectations may not always be met compelling the immigrant to look for other
sources of income through entrepreneurship. Australia's "Australian's First" policy for job
employment provides an apt example of natives receiving first priority in job selections (Karp,
2017). Hence, with economic insecurity and lack of employment opportunities, immigrants are
forced to seek alternative income means such as self–employment. Zimmerman (2016) considers
immigrant risk taking in unfamiliar territories with minimum resources as fulfilling the
entrepreneurial characteristics. The difference, however, is that immigrant entrepreneurship is
different from other forms of entrepreneurship, particularly in terms of funding, performance and
survival rate. The European Commission (2003) remarked that immigrant businesses in Europe
showcase a potent entrepreneurial capacity and potential. This thesis aims to assess the extent to
which immigrant entrepreneurship differs from other entrepreneurial forms. This will be achieved
through a review of existing narratives on the subject.

The existing literature on entrepreneurship stems from economical conceptual frameworks

Bedside handover using ISBAR frameworks has proven in promotion of patient satisfaction,
especially for the patient's safety. However, there are some barriers that were identified in the
effectiveness of bedside handover. These barriers may involve different factors such as
environmental and human.
Thus, this literature review will be focusing on various themes on the effectiveness of bedside
handover using ISBAR, which will then be compared and contrasted; and the most common barriers
to effective bedside handover will be explored.
The question that has been formulated is why is bedside handover with ISBAR considered to be the
safest and most effective form of handover, and what are the common barriers that limit its
execution in the clinical arena?
It has been proven that bedside handover with ISBAR has provided a safety transition and met
patient's satisfaction that gives more opportunity to clarify information (ACSQHC 2012). Although,
bedside handover with ISBAR is strictly implemented, there are difficulties in the application due to
'changes in complex social practices' of nurses that somehow limits its uptake (ACSQHC 2012,
cited in Jeffcott, Evans & Cameron 2009). This literature review sought to study the rationale as to

Annual Day Speech
A warm welcome to all – board members, colleagues, guests and friends of the school, parents and
dear children.
It is indeed a beautiful evening, all soaked in the Pune theme. The decoration outside, the ambience
and the Puneri Pathiya . Thank you all for this enthusiasm and 'spirit of togetherness'. We are at the
junction where a chapter closes and a new one begins. It is overwhelming that we now count 7 years
from the inception of the school. What a journey it has been – with each year having its own
triumphs and struggles and yet unique it many ways.
We grew from – 24 students to 880 and 30 staff members to 120 now and still counting. Next year
we have Nursery to Class IX with 983 students as of today.

This gave birth to the 'Empolyee Excellence Awards'. The award is a visible way acknowledgement
and appreciation – I am proud to announce the awardees for this year in various categories (this
sounds like some film fare awards)
This in no way undermines the work and effort of the others. It only helps to point out exemplary
performance – just that one extra mile. I believe one of the best indication for good work is when
children and parents come with a request end of the year (which happens often) that we want the
same teacher next year.(recent example). This gesture itself is a reward for a teacher. And for the
school, when children continue. It shows 'all is well" or 'almost all is well'.
Thank you for your continued trust and faith. Let me now invite our stalwarts Siddesh and Sakshi –
school captians for the year 2010 –11 to take us through a visual journey of the year gone by
capsuling most events, activities and happenings.
Thank you both. That was great. The highlights of the year all put in a plate. The energy this year
was palpable. We set our own standards, strived to reach them and elevated ourselves to higher
planes. The learning, the evolving and the effort will never cease.

constructed for the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. It was one of the

The Devil in the White City, written by Erik Larson, it is a book about the events of the World's
Columbian Exposition of 1893 that happened in Chicago. It was the perfect opportunity to display
the strength of America to the world. Larson recreates the Fair with an thrilling tone, allowing us to
experience its magnificence as the visitors would have in 1893. Larson describes the fair as
"perfect", a "fairest dream", and "beautiful." At the same time, Larson uses a somber tone in his
descriptions of Holmes and his castle. He recreates the macabre, choosing to put emphasis on words
like "possessed", "woefully and gruesomely." It is quite an obvious contrast from his cheery
descriptions of the White City. Larson uses compare and contrast and irony throughout the story
White and Black city. The "White City" as the exposition became known as "revealed to its early
visitors a vision of what a city could and ought to be" (247). The Fair not only secured America's
place as a prevailing nation but it gave something to hold on to in a time of economic uncertainty.
Many people saw the "White City" as an escape from their everyday lives that unknowingly seemed
to be filled with darkness and terror. Using irony, Larson creates a feeling of absolute terror among
his readers. When describing Holmes' murders, Larson utilizes a dark humorous tone that helps
characterize Holmes other personality as a psychotic maniac. The very idea that Holmes actually
