In 2008, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that they would not be paying for any additional cost incurred for
hospital–acquired pressure ulcers (Cooper, 2013). Pressure ulcers continue to be problem for health care organizations, despite their aggressive move to
eliminate them in the health care setting. Furthermore, the acute care units pressure ulcers occurrences continues to be one of the most underrated
problem that has a major impact on patient outcomes as well as reimbursement of care. Acute care patients are at a higher risk for developing pressure
ulcers than other patients within the hospital. Primarily due to the fact that patients are hemodynamically unstable, from the use of vasopressors, the
use of life saving devices, population age and other health issues. Health care must continue to place emphasis on the prevention of pressure ulcers in
order to reduce co–morbidities and ensuing costs. The aim of this paper is to discuss the cost of pressure ulcers, multiple risk factors associated with
the development of pressure ulcers, to show one acute care unit's current practices to decrease pressure ulcers, look at evidence–based interventions,
then to propose a change in current practice to reduce the number of pressure ulcers.

Bryant, L. says 'Some sociologists believe that class can affect a persons attitude to education.' This evidence supports that working class have less of
an educational background due to their upbringing and this would then affect the attitude their child would have. If the parent has a can't be bothered

Jill Reported Increased Capacity Of Managing Stressful...
Jill reported increased capacity in managing stressful situations and emotions. This was evident in her ability to follow through on coping skills
discussed and when using a subjective scale to assess moods she reported improved moods. Jill reported mood changes to be related to interventions in
our sessions and being consistent with her anti–depressant prescription. Jill also reported a reduction in her anxiety attacks. Due to Jill addressing
underlying issues related to her drinking and feeling heard, she was able to pursue employment counselling and had started a job placement with Leads
Employment Services which further increased her confidence. Jill's self–care improved and that was she presented in clean clothing and had started to
wear make–up to appointments. She reported practicing self–care often and had treated herself to a haircut.
Jill shared she had attended a family gathering that we had discussed prior and had made plans to leave if it became difficult. She was able to attend
this function and did leave at one point when she became stressed. She was able to use recommendations from our cognitive behavioural 'AWARE'
program in order to regain her composure and chose to rejoin the family function. In the past, Jill reports she would have reacted to the stress by abusing

pertaining to working memory capacity, distractibility and pain perception. The objective of this study is to observe the effect distraction has on altering
pain perception relative to an individual's working memory capacity. In this study we will utilize the operational span task (OSPAN) developed by
Turner and Engle (1989) to split the participants into high and low working memory span groups dependent on their OSPAN scores. Participants will
then engage in a simulated pain task under two conditions: distraction and no distraction. This study will include 40 participants; 20 in the low working
memory span group and 20 in the high working memory span group. We expect that the low working memory span group will, on average, report
higher pain ratings than the high working memory span group in the experimental (distraction) condition. We hope that this study will show that the
inverse relationship between working memory and distractibility will have an effect on how people perceive pain. We hope that the current study will
guide future research in exploring alternative non–pharmacological methods to relieve pain.

1.1 General

Switch the breaker for local control. Before connecting the control voltage on make sure that no wiring mistakes are done, resulting a continuos voltage

*Micro–ohm meter for contact resistance checking (with supply cables)
*Timer for timing tests
*Gas filling equipment (hose, SF6–gas bottle, regulator, equal union cross)

Question 2 (a) – All research activities begin with a question. Research, in its most basic form is the process of answering that question, or questions.
Academic research, though, is a systematic process of collecting and analyzing information so that it increases the understanding of the phenomenon
under study. For research to be viable across disciplines it must utilize established principles of data collection and analysis the scientific method. The
term scientific method refers to a way of investigation or the acquisition of knowledge through the testing of a theory or hypothesis, then working
through measurements (observation and empirical notes) to come up with a result, which should prove or disprove the original theory. Thus, the basic
method consists of a) formulating a question or hypothesis, b) designing an experiment or means of collecting data, c) observation or experimentation,
