
Humankind is responsible for the massive use
of fossil fuels which has changed the
atmosphere and temperature of the planet.
Toxins and plastic are an accumulating problem
of the oceans, land and air, while technology is
becoming our second if not our first nature.

Fossil Fuels

https://media1.britannica.com/eb-media/41/91641-004-842864B7.jpg
What are fossil fuels?

Fossil fuels: are hydrocarbons, primarily coal,
fuel oil or natural gas, formed from the remains
of dead plants and animals.


The use of fossil fuels

Fossil Fuels play a vital role in our everyday life. We use fossil
fuels in order to:

Heat our homes

Fuel cars, airplanes and other means of transportation

Make medicine

Make cosmetics

Make materials for clothes

What are the advantages and the
disadvantages of their use?

https://www.acpcomputer.edu.sg/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/banner.jpg
Advantages

Fossil fuels are easily accesible as they exist in
many parts of the world. More and more
extractions are being made by the geologists in
order to cover our needs in energy.





Fossil Fuels produce a large amount of energy
as they are really combustible. We prefer them
for devices and machines and they were
always our first choice in factories.




Fossil Fuels have great stability as they are
formed by molecules of carbon and hydrogen.
This constitution makes them very stable.



http://www.conserve-energy-future.com/advantages_fossilfuels.php

Fossil Fuels are easily stored. Industries want a
big amount of fossil fuels regularly so it is a big
advantage they are stored and transported
easily.

http://www.conserve-energy-future.com/advantages_fossilfuels.php
Disadvantages

Fossil Fuels cause huge environmental
problems. The emission of carbon dioxide gas
provokes global warming.



http://www.conserve-energy-future.com/disadvantages_fossilfuels.php

Certain countries controll the prices of fossil
fuels and as a result we have high prices and
often wars in the Middle-East.




 The emission of fossil fuels cause acid rain.
Sulphur dioxide is released ans as a result it
destroys remarkable monuments which are
from marble.


Fossil Fuels have a huge impact on our
health.The gases provoke serious diseases
such as lung cancer and asthma. Most
vulnerable are the elderly and the children.


Fossil Fuels are not renewable. They will not be
available forever and this will cause huge
problems in the world.


Overconsumption has led to serious
consequences. It is estimated that in 40-50
years fossil fuels will not be available causing
huge problems and commotion in the world.
