The park opened in September15, 1928
and was named after the Mormon Pioneer
Ebenezer Bryce.
Bryce is famous for it’s worldly unique
geology.
The erosional force of frost-wedging and
the dissolving power of rainwater have
shaped the colorful limestone rock of
Bryce Canyon.

such as the White-Breasted Nuthatch, BlackChinned Hummingbird, and the Steller’s Jay
