Zion National Park is located in southern Utah. The park was formed when layers of sediment deposited over thousands of years were lifted to form mountains, which were then eroded by rivers to create deep canyons. Zion features unique rock structures like arches and bridges, and is home to a variety of plants and animals adapted to the desert climate. Popular activities include hiking, biking, and rock climbing, but the park faces issues with overcrowding.
