4. Voting Requirements
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be legal resident of Florida
• Must be 18 years old
• Must not be convicted of a felony and serving
time in prison
• Must not be declared mentally incompetent
by a count of law
5. Procedures for Voting
• Must fill out a Voter Registration Application found at http://www.eac.gov/
• Registration Deadline - 29 days before the election
• ID Number. You must provide your Florida Drivers License Number or Florida ID
Number. If you do not have, you must provide the last four digits of your SSN.
• Must choose a Political Party.
• You have the option to provide your Race or Ethnic Group.
• Your signature is required and attests that you meet all voting requirements and
that you swear to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the
Constitution of the State of Florida, and that all the information on the application
is true.
• You will receive a Sample Ballot in the mail with the location of your polling
placeand information on the people and initiatives that you will be voting on.

1.) How does the product you created encourage citizens to vote? It tells
citizens to vote and that it counts. It describes what the requirements are
and how to register to vote.
2.) What obstacles to voting exist in your community? I don't think there
really are any obstacles. It is pretty easy and straight forward
3.) Would you recommend any changes in the voter registration procedures
that you researched? It would be good to be able to vote online because
that could be done more conveniently for people who have to work and
commute each way to work.
4.) What should be done to increase voter registration in the United States?
I think voter registration should be reduced by requiring voters to have had a job
and pay taxes for at least the last 5 continuous years if under age 50.
