To start of the interview Jeremydoesnotgive I’manintroductioninpersonhe makesasmall
segmentbefore the interview isshownhe doesthistotell the viewerswhohisinterviewingand
whyhe is speakingtohim. To start he asks a question straitof the back at about25 seconds.The
firstquestionthathe asksis suggestivequestiontomake himtalkabouthischildhood “itwasclearly
quite a happy background”.Thisisquite a seriesquestionthatshowsof Jeremy’stype of interview
style andthat he likestogetstrait to the point.At51 secondsJeremyaskedaquestionabouthis
religion“itwasa Jewishhousehold,are youa Jew”Thisisa directquestion.Ihave to say that I do
not like howhe wentaboutsayingthisquestion,he saidthisIna very sternway whichmade me
feel like he wassayingitwouldbe abad thingif he was .Thenafterhe said he was he thenquickly
repliedwith“are youa practisingJew”.Thisshowsthat he alreadyknew whathe was goingtosay
and quicklyresponded,itdose alsoshow thathe waslisteningtohimwhichisknownasactive
listening.duringthissiresof questionshe startswithtwoclosedquestionsandthenatthe endone
final openquestion“whynot”.

interview istryingtosee Edsviewon marriage .Althoughthiscouldbe seenasbeinga normal
questiontoaskthisone viewcouldchange hundredsof peoplesvotes.Thenafterarange on
questionsonthe same subjecthe startsto justgetto the pointwitha directopen question“isit
goodto get married”.
Thenhe start to bringuphis brotherandaskedwhydidyou go to the same universityashim this
was a leadupquestion .Whichthenleadtohimasking“whatdidit feel like beatinghim”.This
showsthat he was onlyaskingthe pervious questiontofindoutmore aboutthe relationship withhis
brotherand wantingtoknowhowit has changed himas a person askingthisquestionitshowsthat

All of the questionsthatJeremyaske are alwayssimplebluntandstraighttothe point he dose this
on all the interviewsthathe participateson .Thismeansthat he will notbeataround the bushfor
the answerhe will askhisquestiondirectlyandwilldemandtogetadirectanswer is given.AndIf an
answerisnot to his likinghe will askitagainandmake sure that he getan answerthat he likes.
The body langue thathe usesduringhisinterwers,notjustthisone all of themthathe dose . How
will situpstraightina formal mannerand ask the questionslookingstraightintheir interviews eye.
Thistendsto make the intervieweeslipuponthe questionsandget nerves .Thisisgoodwhenhe is
tryingto getanswers out of people inaargermentive styleof interview butitwouldnotbe a great
tactic to do if youwas doingan entertainmentinterview.

stoppedtalkingasa followuptothe final question.ThenJeramysaid“thankyou” whichEd
Millabanfollowedupwithrepeatingitbackto himthenthe interviewfinished.Ithinktheyshould
at leastsignhimout for the audiencessake .
