2. HISTORY
• The era was 1938, the western financial system was still recovering from one of the
greatest crashes in history and the second world war was about to break out it wasn’t
such a rosy time but regardless in this year a man known by the name LEE CHULL in
Korea-1938, founded a little company called SAMSUNG. it was a trading company
that dealt with local groceries and had only 40 employees. At that time the company
produced noodles than expanded into sugars and then wool. By late 1950’s the
company moved to insurance securities and retails. Then in the late 1960’s SAMSUNG
moved into electronics. The first product ever produced by SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS
was a 12-inch black and white TV in 1970. By 1983 the first SAMSUNG computer had
arrived. The computer was full 2 years ahead of WINDOWS pc. NOW Samsung comes
on the top most list of companies.

5. GALAXY 11 CAMPAIGN
• Samsung signed up 13 of the world’s best footballers to create the ‘Galaxy 11’ , a
team tasked with protecting the world while also promoting the brand’s new
products.
• The #Galaxy11 campaign was then kicked off with a video of Messi accepting the
captain’s armband as aliens hovered overhead.
• It’s a huge campaign that combines traditional and digital media, but there’s an
emphasis on creating short clips and images that people will want to share on

• Goodwill – Not only increases your customers but also retains your old one.
Samsung donates $100 MILLION to its non – profit medical centers and medical
research facilities. In their ad series they showed a girl who got blind because of
cataracts before her eyesight was restored the company paid for her surgery.
Such activities help in building company goodwill.
• Better Customer Service – Samsung promises delivery of products on time. They
provide 24x7 customer call center, remote assistance and live chat. Good after
sale service.
• Value For Money - Fair return, customer should get what they pay for. They offer
to extend their current warranty period. It has products for every segments this
helps the customer to build trust.
