The role of the collegiate campus has evolved.
Campuses used to serve to facilitate the distribution of knowledge, but as education content continues to move online, content access is no longer the primary purpose of a physical campuses.
This presentation is a conceptual outline for what the campus of the future might look like in light of these changes.

We are still in the early days of the
education revolution.
Technology is being used to optimize the old way of doing
things.
We have yet to explore the new models of education that
are now being made possible by these technologies.

Facilitating content sales.
Digitization & accessibility.
The current ‘revolution’ is an optimization, not a revolution

What if we built a better campus experience?
An experience reimagined from the ground up in light
of the world we live in today, not the one lived in 300
years ago.

Concept:
Create a campus designed to be a learning environment-
coupling the best online curricula with a reimagined offline
experience that’s intentionally focused on cultivating
learning, rather than facilitating lectures.

OF THE FUTURE

Until now, accessing the best curricula inherently meant attending that institution. That is
no longer the case.
With the continued digitization of curriculums, the best content is now accessible to
everyone, regardless of their location or institutional affiliation.
This decoupling of curriculum from institutions presents an opportunity to shape a
more effective offline experience while accessing the best content in the world.
Technology has enabled the decoupling of curriculum and
services. And this has yet to be leveraged.Philosophy

Technology as the backbone of the campus, not a layer on top.
Leveraging technology, students can engage with the best possible
curriculums while accessing the mentorship of local ‘experts in residence’.

Services
By decoupling the services from curriculum, we can
more intentionally create wrap-around services that
both support students and serve as a recruitment
incentive to ‘experts in residence’.

These services ensure
students’ curriculum

with the best possible
offline experience to
further enable them
to achieve their
desired outcomes.
These wrap around services are otherwise inaccessible,
or ineffectively bundled. By bundling these services we
can offer unmatched incentives in recruiting experts to
take up affiliation with the institution.

11. 11 Vision
Create a network of campuses that couple the best curriculums with an
intentionally curated offline experience – providing higher learning
outcomes and enabling financial sustainability.
