This is my third adaptation of LO1 of Unit 10. The adaptation is the film Spiderman 2 (2004)

1. ADAPTATION 3: SPIDERMAN 2 (2004)
In this presentation I am going to explore the adaptation of
the film “Spiderman 2” into a game. I have chosen to do
this as I have watched the film and also have played the
game.

2. SPIDERMAN 2: HOW THE ADAPTATION
COMPARES TO ITS ORIGINAL
• Both movie and film have similar characters, however,
some parts of the storyline are different for both the
game and movie. (PC Version of the game differs
drastically from the main console versions)
• The game came out 6 days after the movie was
premiered at the Mann Village Theatre; the movie came
out all across North America 2 days after the game’s
release on all consoles (in the UK, the game came out a
week before the movie premiered in Cinemas)

3. SPIDERMAN 2: RATINGS
Spiderman 2 (Film): 7.3/10 IMDb
Spiderman 2 (Game): 8.8/10 IGN.com
• Both Good Ratings (Above the average ratings for films
and games)
• The Game got a higher rating than the film, this maybe
because what was different in the game was better than
what was in the film.

4. LEGAL ISSUES
Copyright – Using copyrighted content would require
permission for use for both movie and the game. This
would be done by paying royalties or licenses.

5. ETHICAL ISSUES
Copycat Behavior – Since this film is rated PG, younger
audiences are more observant towards They are more
likely to attempt to copy the moves that Spiderman pulls off
within the movie, which can make them prone towards
injury.
