Educational Leadership Profile Summary Report
In order to measure the personal profile for educational leadership, Self Inventory is used. About 73
statements are collected and are used to demonstrate an individual's performances according to the
standards set by CSDE standards for School Leaders. ( Connecticut State Board of Education in the
name of the Secretary of the State of Connecticut). This summary report is related to a survey that
was conducted by me in which the result analysis was performed by the use of Connecticut
Educational Leadership profile. The next step that I am going to take after gaining knowledge from
this survey, in addition to my personal views about the significance of Educational Leadership.

High Stakes Testing Is An Educational Strategy
High–stakes testing is an educational strategy that affects students, teachers, and society as a whole.
The topic of high–stakes testing has been supported and discredited by many educators, politicians,
and citizens. Nationally, schools are using high–stakes testing for a variety of reasons. The American
Educational Research Association discussed high–stakes testing and issued a statement that read:
Many states and school districts mandate testing programs to gather data about student achievement
over time and to hold schools and students accountable. Certain uses of achievement test results are
termed "high–stakes" if they carry serious consequences for students or educators. Schools may be
judged according to the school–wide average scores for their students. High school–wide scores
may bring public praise or financial rewards; low scores may bring public embarrassment or heavy
sanctions. For individual students, high scores may bring a special diploma attesting to exceptional
academic accomplishment; low scores may result in students being held back in grade or denied a

The mere definition of high–stakes testing carries a combination of both negative and positive
implications. The intentions set out by policy makers can be seen as positive but the apparent

No Video Games in Education in Pamela Paul's Book Reading,...
Pamela Paul, author of "Reading, Writing and Video Games", demonstrates that video games should
not be part of the education. Paul asserts there is no learning from playing video games and the
education should be the same old fashion. Paul observes the technology in classroom could be
useful for the students. However, she thinks the children should stick on reading and writing for
learning. Finally, Paul prefers to let the children play video games in free time rather than let them
play video games for education. Although, Paul idea of using technology in classroom and
marketing education fun games are true, the idea of letting the children play games that are not
educational in their free time are inaccurate.
First, One implication of Paul treatment of saying there is a place for technology in the classroom is
that a good idea. Paul is surely right about having technology in classroom help show the idea to the
students. Also, teacher used the projector to share notes and show videos to the students. However,
using tablets in the classroom can be easy to do quizzes and exams, and that give the teacher more
time to explain more information to the class. Also considering giving live lecture between two
schools in different country could help exchange more knowledge. Finally, schools should concerns
having more technology in classrooms to help the students learn more and fast for there own
benefits.

The examination of human history displays the connection of learning and technology. eLearning
theories provide guiderails for educators and students to express and cultivate a systematic approach
to distance education in an increasingly online world. Various eLearning theories informed recent
DE Practice; however; this paper thesis is supported by two: Constructivist and Online
Collaborative Learning (OCL). The fundamental principles of each theory and the implications
those principles have on distance education (DE) will be explored.
The Constructivist Theory
The Constructivist theory defined by Harasim (2012) denotes the assembling of ones "own
understanding and knowledge of the world through experience and reflecting upon that experience"
(p. 12). At the center of a learners' educational experience is themselves. Learners erect their own
knowledge by deducing and managing the information obtained. The Constructivist theory focus on
promoting learning assembled, relative, and incorporated with prior knowledge and experience by
the learner.
Mbati (2013) explains Constructivism four critical elements to achieve this learning paradigm:
 Learners' use of previous intelligence to obtain new intelligence.
 Learners recognize the difference between their previous and new intelligence.
 Learners apply their new intelligence and obtain feedback.
 Learners' reflection on information learned to ensure this intelligence is fully integrated into
memory.


The Educational Field For Various Reasons Essay
These findings are beneficial for the educational field for various reasons. First, each individual
works in a particular field to fulfill a personal sense of fulfillment. Teachers especially must have
desire and job satisfaction since the educational system, as a whole does not offer great monetary or
societal achievement. According to Bandura (1997) a teacher who has a strong belief in her or his
teacher efficacy, the degree to which teachers feel that their own efforts determine the success of
students, is more likely to put forth a greater effort and support towards student achievement.
Second, if the student's feel neglected or not supported then they will be more then likely to develop
a learned helplessness or self–defeated outlook on life. Many times a school environment may be
the only place where a child feels consistency and support. When the child is placed in a particular
room for more then five hours a day with a role model individual the relationship becomes even
more influential. When taken into account that many parents can only spend a few hours each
evening with their children due to work schedules or other complications, then it is easy to see that
the most influential individual in that child's life is their teacher. Another interesting result of the
research is that peer and teacher reports were almost always similar. For example, if the teacher
thought a student was a troublemaker then the other students in the class reported the same
sentiments.

children. The main thing to take into consideration is any Individual Educational Plans (IEP's) that

But, it is already in use and rapidly growing and expanding. The only real obstacles are creating
small enough and efficient, self–sustaining components for the Robotics applications and just the
general overall synthesizing of the materials themselves. Now, there are opposing variables to Nano
Technology use that would affect the operation of said materials. For example a Nanometer Robot
would presumably have a difficult time accomplishing its task in an environment that is hostile to it.
Also, the possible inhalation of these particles could be similar to inhaling Asbestos. The most

My personal opinion on this topic is very positive. I believe these small microscopic materials can
revolutionize the way we do and produce things. Granted, nothing is perfect and there are very
negative downsides, but also a lot of very positive things in this area. They can help synthesize
energy and resources and produce stronger, lighter and more capable materials. In the end, I am very

Adult Learning Reflection
It is humbling to begin a course, thinking that having just finished an educational leadership
program there won't be many moments of new learning only to find that there is always new
learning opportunity available. Isn't that the most important takeaway from a course focused on
adult learning. Oftentimes the parallel process between what frustrates us the most and what we
experience is hard to perceive when we are living it. Valla (2000) posits one assumption of adult
learning is that a learning a change to oneself as a result of new knowledge and skills, not simply the
acquisition of that knowledge or those skills. In studying how adults learn: what motivates them,
what needs are and what methodology is most engaging, I have been able to improve my
professional practice. My beliefs, attitudes, and practices related to evidence–based learning and
teaching not only have become more refined, but humbled. As I now realize that in honoring adult
learners, just I as wish to be honored I am better able to open myself to their needs the way I so
easily am able with students and in turn honor my own learning needs.

US, little research exists on outcomes derived of performance assessment of ESL students. The
validity of such tests on non–native speakers as well as item analysis have been subject of minimal
research. Considering the implications of college assessment outcomes, the importance of taking in

of this paper is to review a study by Stipek & Valentino (2015), which examines associations
between attention and memory and academic skill development. Stipek & Valentino (2015) used
longitudinal data from the children of the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth to measure how
well attention and short–term and working memory in early childhood predict growth trajectories in
both math and reading comprehension through adolescence and education attainment in young
adulthood (Stipek & Valentino, 2015). The study indicated that the relationship between working
memory and attention in academic outcomes was observed to be strong and positive in early
childhood but not significant during the later years (Stipek & Valentino, 2015). The results of the
study suggest that core cognitive capacities predict learning in the early elementary grades, but the
relationship weakens by late elementary school. These findings suggest that while efforts to develop
attention and memory may improve academic achievement in the early grades, during the later
grades interventions that focus directly on learning the subject matter are more likely to improve
