Claire intro into the song: Music is both a part of culture, and can be used as self-care. So to help everyone get into the mindset of what building a culture of self-care at Telecare might look and sound like, we are going to start with a musical number.

Story about Brad
Brad –
Transition from above slide/story
Focus on promoting self care
Elf-care is so important for health care workers
Decidided to create and provide regular self-care tid bits
encourage individual/group self-care activities within programs
Share that experience within Telecare create sense of community
COVID 19
Telecare began publishing and distributed self-care tips
Had to pivot our focus.
Decided to support leaders
Have to rely on our leaders to help promote
Create and provide a Tool kit on how to implement existing self-care resources within their programs
Goals…
create a culture of self-care
make self-care easy
part of a daily practice
with the hope of making it effortless
Unsure of how to best support leaders... required some research and discussion with leaders.
Wes
*We conducted interviews with leaders to identify needs of programs to promote self care. These are some the takeaways we got from our program leaders.
*Our goal for our project was to eliminate some the barriers that are keeping Self-Care from being an active conversation

The first tool I want to talk about is the “How to” guides that are easily accessible in PDF format on sharepoint.
5 separate guides provide concrete and actionable ideas for leaders to discuss and implement self care into daily practice.
1. The supervision guide provides self-care talking points on how to discuss with staff during one on one supervision.
2. The staff meeting guide can be used to share new self care tips, do a self care activity in staff meetings, or facilitate discussions among staff.
3. The staff debriefing guide is to serve as a reminder of the resources available on Sharepoint and will offer sample questions that can start healing, or therapeutic conversations after an adverse event
4. We also created a self-assessment of burnout. The goal of utilizing this guide is to not only be used individually, but with support in supervision to help recognize when burnout is present, how to address it and how to develop personal and professional resilience.
5. Finally, we’ve also created a guide about the impact of our environment on our self care practices, and how to evaluate the ways our environment encourages or discourages self care.
There are many ways that our environment impacts our self care practices. This how to guide explores these areas and provides a tool to evaluate how our environment encourages or discourages employee self care. This provides an opportunity to rate your individual program to see areas that programs are excelling at and areas that may need improvement

Created Brief Power point with overview of all the how-to guides.
Can be used as a quick way to access information.
Especially when working with staff or other leaders to help bring points of discussion in regards to applying self-care
Good for visual and interactive learners.
There is a link to all the how to guides, the posters, etc at the end.

First and foremost we would like to thank Shea McGuier and Geena Stellato from the Communications Team for all of their assistance and hardwork in making our poster dreams come to life!
We heard the feedback from our program leaders and created a Self-Care poster to serve as an easy daily visiual reminder of self-care activities for spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional well-being to treat the whole person in true Telecare fashion!
The poster is meant to be versitile to fit program needs, either actively in supervisions or staff meetings, or passively in a break room
Lara
The poster is designed to be available in Dok Shop with a print size of 24x30, and laminated to allow for ideas, message, and activities to easily be shared amongst staff from week to week or month or month
We know how difficult it can be to ask for self-care ideas, especially when we are most in need of them, and we are hoping this helps!
Rachel
Catie- So where can you find all of these amazing tools? We've created a share-point website on t-net where you can access all of this information. This includes the self-care poster, self-care guides, self-care tips and a power point that explains how to use these tools.
Brad – refer to question at the beginning: If we made Self-Care a bigger part of our work culture what outcome might we see?
Katelyn – These are the results

Hello, my name is Catie Grieve and I am the Clinical Director at Woodburn Recovery Center.
I want to start off by thanking all of you for being here today and supporting us through this experience. Thank you to all the presenters who took time out of their busy schedule to share their knowledge and wisdom with us. While being a part of the emerging leaders program, I was promoted from being the Team Lead at CATC to the Clinical Director at Woodburn.
I’m very excited for this opportunity and to bring everything I’ve learned in the emerging leaders program to Woodburn.
I've been with Telecare for 9 years now, in 4 different programs, and I’ve had the opportunity to learn from several different leaders, as well as employees and clients that we serve. Each one of them has taught me something different that I will take with me as I continue to grow within Telecare. I want to especially thank Melinda Howard, who was the administrator at CATC and is now the regional director of operations. She has been such a role model for me in the type of leader I aspire to be. She showed me what it looks like to be a leader who has the courage to be vulnerable and compassionate while also being able to have tough conversations and create real change. Most importantly, she believed in me and taught me to that the best way to lead is to inspire others to believe in themselves.
I want to thank Renee for being herself and empowering all of us to bring our authentic selves to this project. I am so grateful for the emerging leaders co-hortm AKA the stress buster. We really had to come together and support each as a team to get this project done and have all been very supportive of each other through-out the hardships we have had to face over this last year.
I am most grateful for the people in my life that continue to remind me that I am already enough. I have learned that being a leader doesn’t mean having all the answers or being perfect. It means having the courage to keep trying, listening, asking questions and sometimes it means just showing up during hard times. So thank you all for showing up for us and giving us the tools that we need to thrive.
