1) Overall Impression of both cultures
-Overall, neither of the cultures have an ‘urban’ lifestyle. Many of their ways of living could possiblybe
considered illegal where we live.
2) Implications(social,political,legal,religious,economics,others)
-Bothof the cultureshave theirownratherdifferentwaysof socializing.Theydonotseemtobe concerned
abouteconomicsatall. Theydance,sing,anddocertainthingsthatare onlyspecialtotheirowncultures,
whichcan be relevanttotheir religious beliefs. They do not seem to be very ‘rich’ as far as economics.
3) How do they compare to yours
-Theycompare to my culture inthe way that theyhave theirdancing,singing,and religiousbeliefs.Asan
example,myculture wouldnevergethighto‘talktothe spirits’,orburna deadfamilymemberandeatit
after… In my culture, that would be inhumane.
4) Similarities between both cultures
- The cultures are similar in the way that they are both very far from being considered to be an ‘urban’
area. They also both have their own spiritual and religious beliefs and rituals.
5) How do you think those cultures were created
-In my opinion, I think the cultureswere created by family oriented people.Someone who only focused
on the aspect of family at all times.
6) What would it take to integrate those cultures to ours, should we?
- It wouldtake a lot of changes to theirculture.Maybe some changesthat wouldbe impossible forthem
to adjust to. Such as the way theyget highto speakto god,or burn theirdead lovedones.Those things
wouldnot be the leastbitacceptable in my culture.It wouldmostdefinitelybe a culture shock to them,
and for that reason I do not think we should make them change their way of life. Their culture is not
affecting me in any way.
