2. SETTING & PROPS
SETTING:
- Moors
- David’s house
- Graveyard
PROPS
One prop that we will have in our short film is a car. This is
important as the film is mainly set in the car.
3. LIGHTING & COLOUR
The film will be set at night, so there will mainly be low key
lighting. This will make the film look mysterious and also
it will produce sharp contrasts of light and dark areas, this
will then achieve a deep, distinct meaningful look in the
short.
A media theorist called Roland Barthes said that in films it
is very important to have a meaningful narrative and also a
shock factor as it will keep the audience entertained. Me
and my production group have taken inspiration from him
and are going to follow his conventions in order to achieve
this structure in out short.
4. REPRESENTATION
EVE –
Throughout the short Eve will be portrayed as a emotional character, so
her facial expression will look unhappy.
RICHARD –
At the beginning of the film Richard will be shown as a happy character.
The audience will be able to tell this as he will be driving along the
moors listing to music and singing to it loudly. But towards the middle
and the end of the film he will be shown as a sorrowful character.
David –
David will be shown as an angry person who is very emotional, as he
misses his daughter Eve , who died on the moors nearly four years ago.
