2. Poor communication can lead to breakdown of relationships.
Applying the Principles of Communication will result in
affable relationships among individuals, minimizing human
relations problems, and increasing camaraderie.
3. 1.Content must be clear- Message must be clear and
not open to subjective interpretation. This means that the
sender must use a language that is objective and verifiable
for accuracy.
Example: “A 25 square meter lot.” rather than “A small
lot.”
2.Content must be specific and reliable- Adequacy
means that the message is complete and reliable. Inconsistent and
incomplete messages would create confusion.
Example: “ The meeting is at 3:00pm, in Room 5.” rather
than “The meeting is in the afternoon.”
4. 3.Content must be Communal and Considerate-
integration means assimilating, adding, or combining. This
principle means that communication should focus on
common objectives. Consensus is a key to moving forward.
