The Car Ride From America
I just hated the car ride from Illinois to New York. Not to mention that Pennsylvania is the worst
state to drive through. It was worth it to see my Aunt and new uncle and the baby but before that
let's recap. Mom, Lauren and I are in the car on our way to see my aunt Meghan but she lives in
New York and we live in Illinois. When we get to New York we go to the hospital and she my aunt.
As we get to the room she is in the bathroom and her water breaks. We are out in the hallway
because the nurses are trying to see if there's any complications.
When we go into the room my aunt is in bed and she's super pregnant. It looked like she had a
pumpkin inside her! She wasn't allowed to eat all day she was on a clear food's diet, which means

We stayed for the longest time but I liked being with the baby I took so many pictures that my phone
heated up so much that it said, " Please wait you phone has overheated wait 10 minutes before using
again." I got so mad because I just wanted to take picture and if I would have known I was
overheating I would have set it down but I have an otterbox case. But then we left and got our
dinner which was ruby tuesday because it was one of the closest thing to our hotel.
After that we went to bed because we had to get up at 9:00 am to go see Meghan and Nazire. We
went to panera bread for breakfast and my mom let us get whatever we wanted so I had soup for
breakfast. Then we went to the hospital and Meghan was still in her bed just chillin. Then the doctor
walked in with a very serious look on his face. Meghan just said " What's wrong with my baby"
" I'm so sorry ma'am but your baby has a very low blood sugar"
" Is there a way to fix it" I asked
"Yes" I felt a rush of relief when I heard that.
" If he eats his meals"
Meghan was relieved and for some reason he wouldn't eat her breast milk so we started to give him
formula. I can't even remember what happened after but we stayed late again we went to chipotle for
dinner and It was good then we went back to the hotel and I was so excited to go into the hot tub
because I didn't get to go in it the whole time we were there and I was so mad

Why China Has A Growing Middle Class
Due to recent advances in technology, communication, and transportation, companies are no longer
confined to just one country to market and sell their products in. This has presented many companies
with global opportunities. China, one of the fastest growing countries in regard to economy and
population, presents a very appealing market to businesses looking to expand. China has a growing
middle class that no longer has to be as price sensitive (Barton, Chen, Yin, 2013), and this is good
news for American companies that have a strong brand name and do not necessarily rely on a cheap
price to sell their goods. China is also experiencing an increased demand for biscuits and crackers,
but many people are also becoming more health–conscious ("Entering the Biscuit Market in China:
There is Still a Chance," 2014). These presents Nabisco, a strong brand name in the United States,
the perfect opportunity to expand their graham cracker line into China.
Nabisco's graham crackers do not have too much variety in the United States. Its Honey Maid line
consists of honey, vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon flavors. Nabisco also produces Honey Maid
Dippers and Teddy Grahams that are smaller than the original graham crackers and are perfect for
smaller hands. The graham crackers are sold by box sizes ("Varieties," 2016). These can be
purchased at almost every grocery store and are typically found in the cookie and cracker aisle. As
mentioned before, China has the potential to be a viable

Waffles or Pancakes? Essay
Although it is not a pressing issue, the dilemma concerning whether the waffle or the pancake is the
superior breakfast food is one that has divided breakfast tables nationwide and sparked an age–old
debate amongst breakfast eaters everywhere. I, being a regular at the breakfast table, am very
opinionated on this topic, but when I am asked why the waffle is the superior breakfast food, I find
myself talking in circles, claiming it to be the best "simply because it is". This, of course, is nowhere
near a good answer, so I decided to borrow a technique from utilitarianism called hedonistic
calculus, which is used to solve ethical dilemmas. This technique involves assigning point values to
every component and finding the "score" each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus forth, the 2 points in this category will be awarded to the waffle.
Being the physics oriented person I am, I tend to think like an engineer, trying to figure out the best
design for any product. The basis by which we will critique the functionality of the breakfast foods
in question is the ability to hold syrup. When syrup is added into the equation, the waffle clearly
comes out on top considering that the structure was designed with perfectly sized compartments to
hold syrup. Pancakes, on the other hand, end up soaking up all the syrup causing it to lose its
structure and further add to the mushy texture. Yet again, the waffle is found to be superior and will
receive the 2 points.
The waffle, however, comes up short in the category of cost. While the make up of the two foods are
essentially the same, the waffle requires special equipment to prepare. These waffle makers can cost
anywhere from 15 to 100 dollars as opposed to the traditional skillet that can be found in most
households. This financial ease that the pancake allows earns it the 2 points in this section.
Based on the results found by using hedonistic calculus, I have deduced that waffles are far
preferable in my own opinion. The waffle, having received full points in the categories of taste,
texture, and functionality, totaled to a score of 7. The pancake came up short, only receiving the
points for the cost efficiency category, giving it a not so grand

Summary Of ' Weekly Grocery Trip '
I was going to name this post "weekly grocery trip," but then I realized that most food itemI buy is
from TJ 's, so I reworked it. My obsession with Trader Joe 's might seem pretty apparent here by
now. A reader asked me what I buy on a weekly basis at the store, and I thought it would be a good
post to share with you. A little bit more about my grocery shopping habit before we get started.... I
like to do a big trip for the week on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I tend to have more time these days
to drive, shop and unload and I don 't like feeling rushed during a trip. I always make a list of all the
items I need before hand, which means I take inventory of our fridge, freezer and pantry. Every
couple weeks I like to mix things up, so I 'll dive into my Trader Joe 's Cookbook or Cravings
Cookbook and pick a new recipe or 2 to try. Once I 'm in the store, I like to shop the perimeter of the
store first. Fruit, veggies, meat and all the good food that fuels your body is normally stored here.
By grabbing the good stuff first, when I see the pint of frozen ice cream, and look down to a cart
already packed, I am more likely to opt out. I only eat out 1–4 meals a week, and it is usually lunch
or dinner on the weekend, so making sure I have wholesome food is important for a healthy diet.
unnamedAlthough my grocery list changes each week, these are the items that are staples in my cart.

Persuasive Speech On Breakfast
Getting a protein–rich breakfast can seem like a hard feat from afar but in reality there are a ton of
ways for you to incorporate awesome, high–protein foods into your breakfasts. Today, we are going
to tell you 10 breakfast hacks to help you build muscle (there's no need worry, your food will still
taste great!)
1) Switch up your Smoothies
At first glance, smoothies may not seem the best for muscle–building breakfast. However, there are
a bountiful number ways to level up your smoothie and make it the perfect breakfast. First of all, use
a fruit like guava. Guava has a significantly high protein content for fruit at 2.6g per 100g and it
tastes amazing. They are also low in calories, giving you that extra protein without all the unwanted
extra calories.
2)Add Protein Powder
A great breakfast hack to up your protein is protein powder. Protein powder is, of course, a
wonderful source of protein as it uses isolated protein from other sources and leaves out all the fats
and carbohydrates. There are a variety of protein powders from whey to soy to hemp so no matter
what diet you follow, they are a exceptional way to get extra protein. Plus, you can add them to a
variety of breakfast foods. Add some vanilla or chocolate protein powder to your oatmeal and there
is your protein rich and delicious breakfast.
3)Give Other Grains a Chance
Why not change your oatmeal up a bit? On a high–protein diet oatmeal can look like the carb–filled
breakfast of your nightmares. It doesn't

Speech On Breakfast
This paper intends to inform the reader about the history of breakfast and how it came to exist in the
form in which it is consumed today; while also bringing to light the importance of breakfast, despite
limitations due to time, particularly among young students and working people (millennials), by
bringing forth the benefits of eating in the mornings, and also building relationships and connecting
through meals.
The Tudors of England invented the very concept of breakfast. Breakfast was a nameless, non time–
specific, non–entity that did not even exist before 1600. The origin of the word breakfast can be
traced back to 1463. According to the Oxford Dictionary, breakfast was used as a noun to describe
the meal with which a person breaks his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The volunteers under study showed up to 500 cal more energy consumption in light intensity
movement as compared to that of their breakfast–skipping counterparts. Breakfast skippers were not
compelled to gouge down more during lunch or dinner, but did feel more sluggish in the mornings.
To sum it up, the study revealed that in terms of weight loss, breakfast 'may just be another meal',
but when it comes to getting that engine revved up, and stepping on the gas to power through the
day, breakfast is in fact very important.
Marketing in the mid 1800s had an impact on the popularity of breakfast and how it was perceived.
Before corporate cereal advertising, breakfast was in fact not given that much importance. It was
viewed to be the same as lunch or dinner. The advent of the cereal market added a new dimension to
breakfast. Advertising had a significant influence on the perception that breakfast was the most
important meal of the

Local Culture and College Culture
As the door swings open, five young males stroll into the restaurant displaying earrings, dreadlocks,
and counterculture clothing, which causes several dozen flannel–clad, middle–aged men to turn their
heads. The young men, all Goshen College students, sit down at a table in the corner and smile to
themselves while the other customers continue to stare and chuckle at them for a few minutes. After
the smirking waitress comes and kindly takes their orders, the guys recline in their seats and gaze
out the window at the dawning sunlight, glad to be back for another quality breakfast at Southern

Another one of the diner's especially meaningful highlights for the group is "the great country–
elevator music playing in the background," according to Joel.
Joel also says that a favorite Southern Style activity for the students is "watching the old guys" who
constitute the rest of the restaurant's clientele. The vast majority of these customers are male
construction workers nearing retirement. Bob, a local drywall worker, has been coming to Southern
Style every day for about fourteen years to hang out with his other Southern Style friends before
work to "drink coffee and shoot the shit." One thick–mustached man, who protected his identity by
giving the false name "Fred," beats out Bob as the longest–standing Southern Style connoisseur,
since he has made the restaurant visits part of his "everyday routine" for the last 25 years.
The GC students agree that they enjoy studying the fashion styles of the other customers while
trying to identify the restaurant's regulars. Ryan states, "The styles of Southern Style show a slice of
society that I don't get to see often at college. Here, you've got ponytails, plaid, and a couple of guys
who look like Jerry Garcia or Fidel Castro. You don't get that at GC." The middle–aged Southern
Style customers express equivalent interest in the college students' equally unorthodox fashion
senses. Bob recalls one frigid Friday morning that he and his friends began "freaking out" when they

Julius Caesar: Why I Want To Join The Military

I am writing to you because I would like to know a little bit more about yourself
First of all, what made you want to join the military? The reason why I am asking this is because I
am thinking of joining the military and I wanted to know some general tips about the military. Also,
when you signed up for the military was there a way to enlist or become an officer/general. Lastly,
did you have to go through what is called boot camp, because for where I am from I hear that we
have to go through both camp and that it is very tough.

were sitting watching the gladiator fights what was your favorite type of gladiator. My favorite
gladiator is Thracian because he is so agile and his weapons are so simple but yet he is one of the
best of them all. Also when watching the chariot races did what team did you root for? Was it the
red, white, green, or the blue. I know that if I went to a chariot race i would root for the red team.
The only reason I say this is because red is my favorite color. Lastly what was your favorite types of
theater? Was it comedy or tragedy? All I know is that my favorite type of theater is comedy because
I love happy and funny plays. Equally important, I would like to ask you what do you do when you
are bored or have nothing to entertain yourself? Do you like to read, write stuff like in a diary or

The School Breakfast Program For Children
Hunger has been a prevalent issue in both established communities and struggling nations around
the globe. It seems that there has never been a time when every person on the planet was food
secure, and while it is typically assumed that hunger is an issue only in developing nations,
malnutrition and hunger are concerns even in the United States. Millions of children across the
country live in homes where food is scarce and meals are skipped on a regular basis. Because
research supports the connection between nutrition, good health, and cognitive ability, it is critical
that methods of addressing food shortages for minor children be found. One solution, the School
Breakfast Program, seeks to provide healthy breakfast meals for children ... Show more content on

2). The likely cause of this decline is not only a lack of financial ability to provide a morning meal
but greater reliance on children of single–parent and socioeconomically deprived families to prepare
themselves for school in the morning.
One in four American children live in food–insecure households, meaning that they lack adequate
access to food of any type, not just food with significant nutritional value (Ford, 2013, p. 58). As
these families are the most likely to have children who both leave for and return home from school
to an empty house, they are also the most likely to have children who prepare meals for themselves.
Often, children fail to nourish themselves, skipping meals when they are running late or because
they find nothing in the pantry they are capable of preparing. These students ready themselves (and
sometimes siblings) for school and frequently don't take their first meal until mid–day, losing
precious hours of instructional time to distraction over food, fatigue due to low levels of
nourishment, and other physical ailments tied to poor nutrition. If school breakfasts were free and
readily available to all public school students, morning meals would be

The For A Healthy And Portable Breakfast Snack Food
1. Soygo Yogurt fulfills the want for a healthy and portable breakfast or snack food. In addition, an
estimated 90% of East Asians have some form of lactose–intolerance, so a soy equivalent for a
traditionally dairy–based product will be highly demanded in a predominantly East Asian country
like Japan.
2. The target market for Soygo Yogurt is composed of employed, middle to upper class adults who
are likely working long hours and want a healthy and/or vegan breakfast/snack food that is portable
and does not require preparation. It is a perishable item that is not sold in large quantities; so
potential customers are likely to repurchase it whenever they go grocery shopping.

Because of this, Soygo yogurts do not come off as being exclusively a health food, which will allow
them to appeal to a wider demographic.
9. Japanese buyers will be willing to purchase Soygo yogurts because, as a people that are generally
very busy, they are likely to need a portable breakfast or snack food that does not require
preparation. Also, the fact that it is suitable for the large percentage of Japanese that are lactose–
intolerant and the approximately 2.7% of the population that is vegan further expands the potential
customer base.
10. One of the main selling points of Soygo yogurts is that they are not complex and require next to
no preparation.
11. No skill is required to install, use, maintain, or service this product.
12. A refrigerator is required to keep Soygo yogurts fresh.
13. Japan has a high Uncertainty Avoidance score, so the initial amount of inventory required is
likely to be relatively low. An estimated 50,000 units are initially needed, with more available for
when demand increases.
14. Unfortunately, Japan currently has a 10.6% tariff in place for all soy products, excluding soy
sauce.
15. All of the labels on Soygo's packaging will need to translate properly into Japanese. In addition,
we will need to ensure that our nutrition fact labelling complies with Japanese law.

The Benefits Of Eating Dinner As A Family
Introduction
Eating dinner as a family is not a practice purely saved for special occasions and holidays. It is a
practice that can and should be carried out on a daily basis. This practice of sharing food and eating
together as a social unit is called commensality (Ochs 2006 p. 37). Through commensality, parents
and children, specifically adolescent children, are able to connect and communicate about
themselves and their lives. There are a multitude of benefits that go along with that including better
well–being for the adolescent and a stronger family unit. But these same types of conditions and
benefits are not found at other mealtimes. There are rarely family breakfasts or family lunches, due
to how busy adolescents and adults are during those times. There is clearly something special and
unique about dinner and its benefits that is worth taking a closer look into.
Research Questions & Preliminary Findings
My research question is "How does dinner, as opposed to other meal times, allow adolescents and
families to connect and what benefits are associated with that?" I will compare dinner to breakfast
and lunch and use typical lifestyles to explain why dinner is the best choice. I will then go into the
physical, emotional, and social benefits that dinner provides to the adolescent and the family.
Initially, I was looking only at the benefits of family dinner and family time. I found that high
frequencies of family dinner were correlated with lower cases of substance

Personal Narrative : A Story-A Short Story
I was working in the fields with my mother, we were wearing our ripped and moldy clothes. Our
lord called us over. He was in his big robe that he often wears, with a cup of ale in his hand.
"Do you know why I keep calling you over, day after day?" he asked, "No." my mom said confused.
"No? Well I guess I need to remind you." my mom looked frightened. "Your son has been doing
more work than you do yourself!" he screamed fiercely. my mom stammered, " I'm sorry but i–"
"Two days," he roared, cutting her off, "To improve your work! Or there will be consequences."
Still, stammering my mom consoled, "Yes my lord."
"Good." he snorted,
We continued our work until we had finished.
When we were done we went inside our hut that looked like it was going to collapse. Moldy walls,
moldy floor, there was mold everywhere that made our house look like a dump. Grease tore down
the walls. And my mom was tired from all the work. I laid her down on the bed. She rasped and
coughed.
My mom is 60 years old. She is one of the oldest people i know. Everyday after work she rests on
the bed for a couple minutes then she starts on the house duties. Her house duties at 3PM are pretty
hard. She has to weave cloths, prepare the food, and pay the lord in grains and plants. but most
importantly, taking care of me, that's what's so important to her.
The next day we were finished eating breakfast, the typical breakfast for us is bread, onion, a piece
of cheese, and ale. I'm not aloud

Breakfast Food Statistics
Argument #2
When thinking of having a healthy life style, people should not turn to eating pop tarts for breakfast.
Mornings, as many know, can be busy. Waking up, getting ready for the day, showering, and running
late occasionally can be stressful. Why not grab a quick and easy breakfast, like a pop tart? Well,
there are many reasons why not to. Statistic Brain, author of the article Breakfast Food Statistics,
shows the reader that there is $331,125,248 total sales of pop tarts in the United States as of 2016
(1). Now think about this. There are about 36 grams of sugar in a package of pop tarts. The average
adult should take in about 52 grams of sugar a day. Just a 'quick' breakfast can take up almost 70%
of the average sugar intake even before 8:00 am. As mentioned before, pop tarts are an easy turn to
for breakfast on the go. I am sure everyone has had a box or two pushed in their cupboard, their
small and easily openable packages waiting to be snatched as a quick snack. On the other hand, not
only are these pastries ruthless when looking at the sugary content, but the consequence it has on the

Health And Mental Benefits Of Breakfast
Breakfast is often left on the back burner on each busy morning, but it is by far the most important
meal of the day. First, breakfast provides you with the energy you need after your 6–10 hour long
fasting period. This extra boost of fuel results in increased brain performance and concentration. A
six year study showed that adults who had a healthy breakfast were more focused and efficient each
day than those who ate nothing each morning. Contrary to popular belief, breakfast can assist with
weight loss. A meal in the morning helps kick start your metabolism, which reduces hunger
throughout the rest of the day. People who skip breakfast are inclined to eat more at the next meal
because of their increased hunger. Also, breakfast skippers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Moving inward, steam and the smell of espresso drift from the pot of fresh coffee that has witnessed
many breakfasts over the years. Next comes the pale green ceramic platter that holds large stacks of
fluffy pancakes slathered in liquid maple sweetness. A delicately woven straw basket contains
golden brown toast with oozing butter dripping down each slice like a faucet. Directly in the centre
sits the hickory smoked bacon. The quiet sizzle of each crispy piece was music to the family's ears.
This breakfast was a feast for the senses.
Perfect scrambled eggs can be achieved with these three easy tips. First, quality ingredients must be
used to create perfect scrambled eggs. To make the dish you will need four large eggs, ¼ teaspoon
of salt, and 1 tablespoon of butter. The final product will only be as good as your ingredients so
make sure to use the freshest ingredients as possible. Next, the eggs must be prepared the correct
way to get the best result. Crack the eggs into a bowl and add in the salt. Whip the eggs with a whisk
for 30 seconds or until they are pale yellow. Then cook the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
When the foam is gone add in the eggs and cook them until cooked egg forms around the skillet.
With a spatula push the eggs around the skillet using sweeping motions. Keep pushing the eggs for
about 2 minutes. Lastly, scrambled eggs need to look delicious when they are sitting on your
breakfast table. The eggs should look

The Importance Of French Culture In France
People often wonder what it would be like to explore different cultures, or better yet, travel to
different countries. France to be exact. France is located on the continent of Europe. France's capital
is Paris (ile–de–France). In France, the french language is an english based language. Therefore, it is
easier to comprehend or make out what a person is trying to say. The currency in France are Euros
meaning, one euro in France equals a dollar and seventeen cents in US dollars (WorldAtlas). A Lot
of their known foods such as french toast, bagels, and even crêpes are eaten on a daily basis for
breakfast around the world. With that being said, some foods people may eat are french foods and
they would not even know it. There are many things to be informed on about the country, but here
are some basic things to focus on particularly their lifestyle, language, and foods. Lifestyle is the
typical way of life of an individual, group, or culture. The "France lifestyle can be a traumatic
experience, and most foreigners are shook by the attitudes of French people"(Zimmerman). If you
were to walk into a restaurant or even just a pastry shop, you would always have to greet them first
or they will not serve you. "In france properties range from derelict farmhouses and barns to modern
townhouses and apartments with modern conveniences, but on the other hand manor houses are
requiring complete restoration to new luxury chalets and villas"(Zimmerman). Cars driven in France

Foods with names like "Elvis Crepes" provide a modern, festive spin on traditional breakfast items.

Technological– With technology developing at such a rapid pace, it has become very important,

(d) Do an analysis of UC´s environment in Europe by following the information given in the case!

The multinational breakfast foods company United Cereal entered European markets in 1952. By
the year 2010 Europe´s breakfast cereal market has grown to a $7 billion business which has proven
to be a profitable market segment and therefore attracted various competitors. Only four actors
account for 70% of market share in the European markets. Among them are Kellogg which is

company´s organizational structure, UC would be given the opportunity of reducing the number of
employees and cutting marketing and product development costs by 10% to 15% within just three
years.
The global recession in 2008/2009 did not just lead to a change in consumption towards an
increasing demand for cheaper products in the product range but it was also responsible for a
decrease in market growth that resulted in a growth rate less than 1% annually. However UC faces
the threat of strong competitors. The largest competitors is Kellogg which is the market leader with
a share of 26%. Kellogg has the advantage to lower operating costs due to its volume. Along with
this increased market competition in Europe, UC was also threatened by a price and promotion
pressure outgoing from its major rivals Kellogg and United Cereal. An ongoing fight for market
share, and high costs and investment of time in order to develop new brands are just two more
factors that UC and its competitors face in daily business. Another market condition that can be
identified as an external threat (and opportunity) is the great variation in consumption. Consumers´
cereal consumption varies greatly throughout Europe. While approximately 8/kg year were

Persuasive Essay On Beach Vacations
Throughout the year, many families will start to plan ahead to take a vacation that will include
adults and children. Across the United States in particular, families will travel to the beach
especially during the summer time. Very large cash expenditure doesn't have to factor into account if
you take cheap family beach vacations. While some vacations will usually take a decent bit out of
your wallet, there are several ways to reduce the cost you pay.
One of the best things you can do to reduce the amount that you spend on a family vacation is to
save the money ahead of time by developing a plan on how to save. The earlier you start planning
for a vacation, the more time you will have to decide where you want to stay, eat and how to spend
your time with activities and entertainment. The more you plan, the better your chances are at
cutting vacation expenses.
Hotels and Lodging
Many people will start to look for places to stay, either hotels or lodges before they expect to leave
on a trip. Budget–conscious people will do this by researching online. Hotels and other
accommodations will list deals on travel sites for rooms and are more likely to raise the prices
during peak season weeks. If you plan ahead on book the room at a hotel you want to stay at, you
can save more by beating the rush before season starts or just about the time it ends. Depending on
where you take cheap family beach vacations, the peak season or on times will vary. One thing to

A:Coffee is mainly produced on five out of seven continents on coffee plantations.
1. Coffee is one of the most common breakfast items found on any table in the morning and now

Pacific, to anywhere like Hawaii and the biggest producer, Brazil. 1/3 of the world 's coffee supply

ensures the farmers safety and the quality if the product. This program has shown to boost
productivity between the company and the grower and between the workers and the owners of the
plantations. Even though this program is in place the workers are still paid poorly. An expert picket
can collect about 6–7 baskets of coffee berries a day, yet they are paid very little. 71% of farms in
Brazil are less than 10 lectares, 25% of them are less than 50 lectares and 4% are more than 50

Eggo Cinnamon Toast Waffles : A Short Story
"Eli get out of bed!!!" My parents yell as I wake with a shudder. I roll over to see that I was
supposed to wake up 20 minutes ago. I bolt out of bed, and grab whatever rests on my floor from the
night before and throw it into a backpack. I sprint into the bathroom, collect everything I need and
go down the stairs so fast that I almost trip and fall. I am greeted with "Why didn't you set your
alarm?" and, "Are you at least ready/" I respond with "I am ready, just hungry" which completely
summed up how I was feeling at that moment and time. If there was anything going right in that
moment it would be that we had my absolutely favorite breakfast food in the freezer – Eggo
Cinnamon Toast Waffles. Boy oh boy, those delicious, heavenly waffles can fix any situation in the
world. I pop a couple of those blessings in the toaster to meet me after I finish messing with my bad
case of bed head. As my parents go over last second checks of the house for left–behind items, my
sister and I are too worried about who gets the spacious, luxurious, back seat of our minivan. Just
like every road trip she claims "You can have the back seat on the way back home" which always
ends up with her being tired and my parents letting her have the back seat to sleep. I just go with it
because I know I won't have to deal with this annoyance when we are all happy and in paradise. We
exit off of Veterans Parkway onto I–55 going southwest and I can finally get settled as my dad eases
the car into cruise

I can remember rare occasions as a child when I would wake...
I can remember rare occasions as a child when I would wake up for school and there would be
pancakes, eggs and bacon on the table and orange juice or Sunny Delight to drink. These exciting
occasions, however, were just that: rare. Most days I would bound down the stairs to the toaster
loaded with Pop–Tarts. I would usually be disappointed that I couldn't devour a wholesome
breakfast, but I later came to understand the convenience of the Pop–Tart. My parents could put
pastries in the toaster and continue to get ready for their day without having to worry about too
much clean–up. It was during these early days of my education that I really found a love for the
sugary, fruit–filled pastries. Post Cereals was the first company to come ... Show more content on

Along with their release to stores across the country, store managers were instructed to put the Pop–
Tarts in the cookie and cake aisle, opposed to the cereal aisle where the Post Country Squares were
faltering in sales.
Kellogg started out with only four flavors of Pop–Tarts: apple currant, blueberry, cinnamon and
strawberry. Over the years they have come out with a variety of different flavors including
chocolate, French toast and a very popular s'mores version. The company decided not to frost the
original version because the creators thought that the frosting might melt in the toaster. The
developers later came to realize that the frosting would not melt in the toaster, however, and the first
Pop–Tarts with frosting were released for sale in 1967.
In 1971, Kellogg decided to introduce Milton the Toaster, a cartoon character that would be used to
help promote the product. The character was a hit with the sample audiences and was launched
nationwide, but the campaign was terminated after a commercial showing Milton the Toaster being
hugged by a child fostered a fear that children may try to copy the commercial and burn themselves.
Pop–Tarts came under a lot of scrutiny in 1992 when a man named Thomas Nangle sued Kellogg for
damages on the grounds that his Pop–Tart got caught in his toaster and started a fire. The

The Car Ride From America

  • 1. The Car Ride From America I just hated the car ride from Illinois to New York. Not to mention that Pennsylvania is the worst state to drive through. It was worth it to see my Aunt and new uncle and the baby but before that let's recap. Mom, Lauren and I are in the car on our way to see my aunt Meghan but she lives in New York and we live in Illinois. When we get to New York we go to the hospital and she my aunt. As we get to the room she is in the bathroom and her water breaks. We are out in the hallway because the nurses are trying to see if there's any complications. When we go into the room my aunt is in bed and she's super pregnant. It looked like she had a pumpkin inside her! She wasn't allowed to eat all day she was on a clear food's diet, which means she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We stayed for the longest time but I liked being with the baby I took so many pictures that my phone heated up so much that it said, " Please wait you phone has overheated wait 10 minutes before using again." I got so mad because I just wanted to take picture and if I would have known I was overheating I would have set it down but I have an otterbox case. But then we left and got our dinner which was ruby tuesday because it was one of the closest thing to our hotel. After that we went to bed because we had to get up at 9:00 am to go see Meghan and Nazire. We went to panera bread for breakfast and my mom let us get whatever we wanted so I had soup for breakfast. Then we went to the hospital and Meghan was still in her bed just chillin. Then the doctor walked in with a very serious look on his face. Meghan just said " What's wrong with my baby" " I'm so sorry ma'am but your baby has a very low blood sugar" " Is there a way to fix it" I asked "Yes" I felt a rush of relief when I heard that. " If he eats his meals" Meghan was relieved and for some reason he wouldn't eat her breast milk so we started to give him formula. I can't even remember what happened after but we stayed late again we went to chipotle for dinner and It was good then we went back to the hotel and I was so excited to go into the hot tub because I didn't get to go in it the whole time we were there and I was so mad ... • 3. Why China Has A Growing Middle Class Due to recent advances in technology, communication, and transportation, companies are no longer confined to just one country to market and sell their products in. This has presented many companies with global opportunities. China, one of the fastest growing countries in regard to economy and population, presents a very appealing market to businesses looking to expand. China has a growing middle class that no longer has to be as price sensitive (Barton, Chen, Yin, 2013), and this is good news for American companies that have a strong brand name and do not necessarily rely on a cheap price to sell their goods. China is also experiencing an increased demand for biscuits and crackers, but many people are also becoming more health–conscious ("Entering the Biscuit Market in China: There is Still a Chance," 2014). These presents Nabisco, a strong brand name in the United States, the perfect opportunity to expand their graham cracker line into China. Nabisco's graham crackers do not have too much variety in the United States. Its Honey Maid line consists of honey, vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon flavors. Nabisco also produces Honey Maid Dippers and Teddy Grahams that are smaller than the original graham crackers and are perfect for smaller hands. The graham crackers are sold by box sizes ("Varieties," 2016). These can be purchased at almost every grocery store and are typically found in the cookie and cracker aisle. As mentioned before, China has the potential to be a viable ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Waffles or Pancakes? Essay Although it is not a pressing issue, the dilemma concerning whether the waffle or the pancake is the superior breakfast food is one that has divided breakfast tables nationwide and sparked an age–old debate amongst breakfast eaters everywhere. I, being a regular at the breakfast table, am very opinionated on this topic, but when I am asked why the waffle is the superior breakfast food, I find myself talking in circles, claiming it to be the best "simply because it is". This, of course, is nowhere near a good answer, so I decided to borrow a technique from utilitarianism called hedonistic calculus, which is used to solve ethical dilemmas. This technique involves assigning point values to every component and finding the "score" each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus forth, the 2 points in this category will be awarded to the waffle. Being the physics oriented person I am, I tend to think like an engineer, trying to figure out the best design for any product. The basis by which we will critique the functionality of the breakfast foods in question is the ability to hold syrup. When syrup is added into the equation, the waffle clearly comes out on top considering that the structure was designed with perfectly sized compartments to hold syrup. Pancakes, on the other hand, end up soaking up all the syrup causing it to lose its structure and further add to the mushy texture. Yet again, the waffle is found to be superior and will receive the 2 points. The waffle, however, comes up short in the category of cost. While the make up of the two foods are essentially the same, the waffle requires special equipment to prepare. These waffle makers can cost anywhere from 15 to 100 dollars as opposed to the traditional skillet that can be found in most households. This financial ease that the pancake allows earns it the 2 points in this section. Based on the results found by using hedonistic calculus, I have deduced that waffles are far preferable in my own opinion. The waffle, having received full points in the categories of taste, texture, and functionality, totaled to a score of 7. The pancake came up short, only receiving the points for the cost efficiency category, giving it a not so grand ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Summary Of ' Weekly Grocery Trip ' I was going to name this post "weekly grocery trip," but then I realized that most food itemI buy is from TJ 's, so I reworked it. My obsession with Trader Joe 's might seem pretty apparent here by now. A reader asked me what I buy on a weekly basis at the store, and I thought it would be a good post to share with you. A little bit more about my grocery shopping habit before we get started.... I like to do a big trip for the week on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I tend to have more time these days to drive, shop and unload and I don 't like feeling rushed during a trip. I always make a list of all the items I need before hand, which means I take inventory of our fridge, freezer and pantry. Every couple weeks I like to mix things up, so I 'll dive into my Trader Joe 's Cookbook or Cravings Cookbook and pick a new recipe or 2 to try. Once I 'm in the store, I like to shop the perimeter of the store first. Fruit, veggies, meat and all the good food that fuels your body is normally stored here. By grabbing the good stuff first, when I see the pint of frozen ice cream, and look down to a cart already packed, I am more likely to opt out. I only eat out 1–4 meals a week, and it is usually lunch or dinner on the weekend, so making sure I have wholesome food is important for a healthy diet. unnamedAlthough my grocery list changes each week, these are the items that are staples in my cart. It seems that there has never been a time when every person on the planet was food secure, and while it is typically assumed that hunger is an issue only in developing nations, malnutrition and hunger are concerns even in the United States. Millions of children across the country live in homes where food is scarce and meals are skipped on a regular basis. The likely cause of this decline is not only a lack of financial ability to provide a morning meal but greater reliance on children of single–parent and socioeconomically deprived families to prepare themselves for school in the morning. One in four American children live in food–insecure households, meaning that they lack adequate access to food of any type, not just food with significant nutritional value (Ford, 2013, p. 58). As these families are the most likely to have children who both leave for and return home from school to an empty house, they are also the most likely to have children who prepare meals for themselves. • 32. The Benefits Of Eating Dinner As A Family Introduction Eating dinner as a family is not a practice purely saved for special occasions and holidays. It is a practice that can and should be carried out on a daily basis. This practice of sharing food and eating together as a social unit is called commensality (Ochs 2006 p. 37). Through commensality, parents and children, specifically adolescent children, are able to connect and communicate about themselves and their lives. There are a multitude of benefits that go along with that including better well–being for the adolescent and a stronger family unit. But these same types of conditions and benefits are not found at other mealtimes. There are rarely family breakfasts or family lunches, due to how busy adolescents and adults are during those times. There is clearly something special and unique about dinner and its benefits that is worth taking a closer look into. Research Questions & Preliminary Findings My research question is "How does dinner, as opposed to other meal times, allow adolescents and families to connect and what benefits are associated with that?" I will compare dinner to breakfast and lunch and use typical lifestyles to explain why dinner is the best choice. I will then go into the physical, emotional, and social benefits that dinner provides to the adolescent and the family. Initially, I was looking only at the benefits of family dinner and family time. No other sustainable information was posted except local and seasonal products. Overall I highly recommend dining at Jam!. Celiacs or gluten– free people, I'd recommend going for breakfast food, served all day, rather than lunch food due to lunch menu list. The local and seasonal menu items provide an insight to how Jam! feels about sustainable practices. Kellogg has the advantage to lower operating costs due to its volume. Along with this increased market competition in Europe, UC was also threatened by a price and promotion pressure outgoing from its major rivals Kellogg and United Cereal. An ongoing fight for market share, and high costs and investment of time in order to develop new brands are just two more factors that UC and its competitors face in daily business. Another market condition that can be identified as an external threat (and opportunity) is the great variation in consumption. Consumers´ cereal consumption varies greatly throughout Europe. Across the United States in particular, families will travel to the beach especially during the summer time. Very large cash expenditure doesn't have to factor into account if you take cheap family beach vacations. The earlier you start planning for a vacation, the more time you will have to decide where you want to stay, eat and how to spend your time with activities and entertainment. The more you plan, the better your chances are at cutting vacation expenses.
