Many are puzzled as to why a newly retired couple would want to enter into the frenzy associated with political campaigns. Most assume that as marketing professionals, we are getting paid to do it.We are not being paid – not one penny. Running a political campaign is akin to a full time job and comes with a lot of overtime! The answer to the question of why is a simple one to us:We are doing it because we are deeply concerned about the crime issues in our community – the community in which several of our adult children and our grandchildren reside.We feel that it is critical to our children and grandchildren and the children and grandchildren of all Stark County residents to have the opportunity to grow up in as safe of an environment as possible. We feel Stark County needs Larry Dordea as sheriff. He has more than 35 years of hands-on, boots-on-the-ground law enforcement experience. He is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy. He has personally participated in more than 1,000 high risk search warrant drug raids and arrests during his tenure in law enforcement. He has led two sepa- rate police departments as chief. He is a strong, vocal supporter of the Second Amendment. He is the only candidate for sheriff who has never had his qualifications, credentials, or law enforcement leadership questioned or challenged. He knows how to fight crime!
