Curry Todd says that the best and most effective way to run a business is by being a positive role model and leader. Being a good leader is a rare trait, says Todd, and requires a sort of selflessness that many do not require. Todd says the most important aspect of being a good leader is to never ask someone to do anything that you would not, and to lead by example, not by authority. That is the key to good leadership.
2. As a southerner, Curry Todd is a man who puts
the needs and ideals of the American family first.
Todd says that this country was built and founded
upon the backs of the working class family man,
and that their needs and compulsions should be
put first in the political arena. Todd says that the
government was first designed to help uphold
family values and tradition, and protect the
working class, something it has forgotten over the
many years since is first installment. Men like
Todd are working hard to remind everyone of that
purpose, and say that they can simply take it one
step at a time and hope for the best.
3. Curry Todd's service to the Memphis Police Department was one that
he was proud to be a part of, and says that serving along side men
and women who dedicate themselves to the community was truly an
honor. Todd spent sixteen years with the well known Memphis Police
Department, being a positive influence both to the community and the
station. Todd was seen as somewhat of a mentor and role model
during his time with the department, and many of his peers and friends
looked up to him as a model citizen. It was through their suggesting
Todd later pursued a career in politics.
4. As an ex-policeman and a representative to the
people of Tennessee, Curry Todd has always
concerned himself with the safety of the community,
and his fellow man as a whole. It came to many as no
surprise then when Todd opened up his own security
company titled Todd's Safe Door and Security. Using
Todd's acquired knowledge and experience from
being a career policeman, Todd runs a top notch
security service that covers nearly all of the potential
threats that can arise, from car theft to breaking and
entering, Todd's Safe Door and Security is dedicated
to keeping you safe.
5. Curry Todd is not just a politician and retired policeman, but a businessman as well,
something that many do not know about him. In 1978 Todd opened his Safe Door and
Security company, one dedicated to providing safety systems and alarms to families. Todd's
experience as a businessman helped him get a better understanding of financing and
economics, something that would come in handy when he later became involved in the
political arena. Todd recommends owning a business to anyone who aspires to politics.
6. As an ex-policeman turned politician, Curry Todd has always been
concerned with the Executive branch of government. Todd has seen
first hand the importance of holding up the law, as well as deterring
potential lawbreakers in a community. Todd's experiences with the
Memphis Police Department taught him that there is a fine line
between order and chaos, and that it is only brave men and women
like those who served beside him those many years ago that prevent
anarchy from running rampant in the streets.
7. Though Curry Todd is now a retired police man, he still remains active
in the interest of protecting his community. Todd does to by being
directly involved with the group the FOP, also known as the Fraternal
Order of Police. The FOP is a dedicated group of present and past
service men and women who dedicate themselves to improving
policing and patrols, as well as encouraging a good relationship
between a community and the police officers who service it. Todd says
this relationship is key to the overall quality of a neighborhood.
8. Curry Todd is not just an ex police officer and
politician, but a man who knows the importance
of a good education. It is for that reason the
Curry Todd enrolled in the University of
Memphis in the year of 1967. Todd would grow
and flourish during his time with the university,
discovering a love for law and order,
government and legislation. For that reason
Todd would go on to receive his Bachelor's
degree in Criminal Justice and Business
Management. Todd would end up applying
both of these degrees to his career, both being
a cop and business owner.
