Preliminary Task Planning
In class, we as a group decided that we are going to produce our
preliminary task using Selin’s idea as it was the best and having to use
various shots such as 180 degree rule, etc…

We took all the ideas into consideration and discussed these points:
•Location
•Costumes
•Shot Angles
•Lighting and Color
•180 Degree rule, match on action and shot reverse shot
•Idea
•Why?
•Who are the people?
•Why are they meeting?
•How will their feelings/motivation be shown through camerawork?
Location
Outside the girls changing room, canteen and in the corridor.
Costumes
Normal casual clothes.
Lighting & Color
The lighting used in the location.
180 degree rule/Match on action/Shot reverse shot
-The match on action will be used when the protagonist walks to the ex best friend.
-The shot reverse shot will be used when the protagonist is planning revenge on Holly for betraying Sam.
-The 180 degree rule will be used when the confrontation is happening between the characters.
Ideas
Why?
There is jealousy between Holly and Sam.
Who are these people?
The protagonist (Sammy), Ex best friend (Holly), The guy Sammy likes (Harry) & Sammy's new best friend (Amy).
Why are they meeting?
Sammy and Harry meet so Sammy could find out the truth about what people are saying.
Sammy and Amy meet to talk about what they should do to Holly as revenge.
Amy comes up with the conclusion, Sammy and Holly meet when her punishment is given.
What is their motivation?
Sammy - So she can get revenge on Holly.
Holly - Hide what's going on from Sammy.
Harry - Avoid Sammy.
Amy - To see everything that's going on.
How will their feelings/motivations be shown through camerawork?
Close ups joint with over the shoulder shot to see feelings being written.
Shot reverse shot to see both characters feelings through facial expressions.
Black out to give a sense of tension. Match on action to hide feelings.
Opening Sequence
Scene One: Amy tells Sammy that Holly and Harry have started to date.
Scene Two: Sammy confronts Harry and asks whether the rumors are true.
Scene Three: Sammy texts Amy to meet her once Harry walks away.
Scene Four: Amy talks to Sammy about revenge.
Scene Five: Montage of Sammy going up to holly.
Scene Six: Black Out (Beating up noise).
Scene Seven: Sammy walking out.
Scene Eight: Sammy sending Amy a text.
Scene Nine: Close up of Amy smiling.

*Scene Four to Nine will only be recorded*
