Project
Vision is an initiative to help visually challenged

It is basically a mentorship program.

Vision identifies the real passion, dreams and
guides them in the path they have chosen for themselves.

Vision also supports those unemployed visually
challenged individuals who are above the age 18,ie
conducting job fairs exclusively for them.
Mission

The mission of Vision is to enhance the employment skills
of the visually challenged.

Why visually challenged ?
Reasons

Visually challenged individuals do not have the right
platform to show case their potential.

More than half of the world’s blind live in India (9
million), Africa (7 million) China (6 million) and Arab region (7
million) and it still grows. (1)

A long time dream to help this people

Recently, a visually impaired man in India, Kiran got
his PhD in music.(2) I feel, we have the moral responsibility of
bringing out the hidden talents in them.
Action Plan – Short term

At present, we have initiated at Chennai, India

IARC (Indian Astrobiology Research Centre) is offering
IYF 2011 certification program for schools and student in India
and a special edition short term course. (3)

We have talked with member of IARC and they
accepted to offer the special edition course for free for 15
visually challenged persons

Vision team talked with the “College students &
Graduates Association for Blind” (4) Chennai, regarding the
program.

The institution accepted with happiness and the team
is going to help the students for their certification.
Course details

IARC provides the necessary materials once the students enrol
and certificates after the successful completion of the course.

The exam is scheduled for February 2012.

The team apart from being the program co-ordinators, is
also involved in teaching the course..

Course benefits

Participants will learn about the latest concepts of forest
conservation and the role of forests in global warming

Above all The United Nations Environmental Programme
(UNEP) Green Jobs Report 2008 clearly states there will be over 20
million green jobs (over 2 crore green jobs) created worldwide by
2030.
College students & Graduates Association for Blind, Chennai

• Personality Development Programs.

•Web development courses.
