4. Madhubani paintingMadhubani - The folk art !!
It originated in the Madhubani district of Bihar better
known as Maithili painting. It is believed that when king
Janaka asked an artist to draw the wedding of his daughter
with Rama, he used this form of painting. Since then the
women of Mithila district decorate the walls and the floors
of their houses with Madhubani art during festivals. In
olden days they used twigs to draw the lines but in
modern times it is drawn with pen nibs. Our students have
tried to adopt the same style.
6. Jamini Roy was one of the master painters of the
Bengal school of art. He adapted the Bengal folk
art in his artworks. His paintings depict the
socio-culture of the middle-class people, but
patronized by the rich. The paintings depict the
story of Ramayana and Purana, decorative
flowers, birds, animals and Hindu deities,
portraits.
The paintings are good evidence of elements of
art and principal of art. While copying these
paintings the students learn the use of sign and
symbols and the brush strokes. It enhances their
drawing and colouring skills.

8. EGYPTIAN FOLK ART
Egyptian folk art which had been prevalent since traditional painting on the walls of
tombs evolved. The paintings depict the social system of the ancient times The artworks
are very colourful and use six colours. The figures are drawn in simplified freehand with
solid colour filling. The face and the body posture always show a movement . The folds of
the cloth are defined with lines. They are a good example of the Principal of art where
the background is filled with the small hieroglyphics and the main figure is prominent in
the foreground.. Unitedly all the forms telling us a story of the Egyptian culture.
While copying these paintings the students learn the use of the sign and symbol and
develop an appreciation for the element and principle of art.

10. COVID-19
The world has suddenly
turned topsy turvy.
Students struggle to
name their feelings
which are constantly
fluctuating. The novel
coronavirus gave birth to
novel ways to express
their feelings such as
drawing and writing.

चला जायेगा ?
नहीीं ! वो तो रहेगा ! वो क्यों भागेगा ?
कोरोना वो तब भागेगा जब हम घर के अींदर सुरक्षितरहे |
और अगर बाहर ननकले भी तो सारे एहनतयात लेकर ननकले|
हााँ मोटिवेशन के ललए गो कोरोना ! गो कोरोना! चचल्लाओलेककन, घर के अींदर से ही,
बाहर से नहीीं |
