Concrete, a 35-year mainstay in Philadelphia's bustling concrete
construction industry. The company's experienced contractors
adapt and add to trends, resulting in projects such as the 1
million-square-foot Franklin Mills Mall.
One current project is Bucks County Justice Center, an $84
million project under construction in Doylestown, PA. After
county officials broke ground in the summer of 2011, general
contractor Ernest Bock and Sons called on Carson Concrete to
place the project's concrete work. The justice center calls for
1,100 mixing trucks to deliver concrete used to build floors,
walls, and footings. The floors alone will span over 300,000 feet.
3. To complete the project, Carson Concrete VP Anthony
Samango III secured funding for a rough-terrain crane. He
decided on the 70-ton Terex RT670 after operating one
himself, judging the device durable and strong enough to
complete the job. Samango III plans to utilize the crane for
future projects following the four months it will be required
at the justice center site.
Other Carson Concrete projects include the Dockside
Residences at Pier 30, Waterfront Square Condos, EVO
Apartments a 40 story concrete frame, and a 30 story
frame at 38th and Chestnut Streets.
