The students from IES Sa Blanca Dona took a trip to Orient, Majorca. When they arrived at the airport, they took a bus to Orient but had to wait because the bus was late. When they got to Orient, one of the leaders showed them around the house and village. The next day, they hiked to Alaro Castle. It was difficult because they were tired from not sleeping well the first night. The second day, they visited a homestead and climbed Puig d'Amos, where some were too afraid to reach the top. The trip provided experiences in hiking and learning about local history and landmarks.

Trip to Orient, Majorca

4. The 20th March the students of IES Sa Blanca Dona flew
to Palma de Mallorca.
When we arrived to the airport we went to Orient by
bus. The bus wasn't there and we had to wait there. When
the bus arrived, we went to Orient, but it was dark and we
couldn't see the road.
When we were in Orient, one of the leaders was waiting
for us. He explained the rules of the house and he
showed us the rooms.
Before dinner we went to see the village. We went to
the church and to the graveyard. Then, we returned to the
house and we had dinner. After dinner we went to the
bedroom and we were there.
The first night some people didn't sleep and the
teachers were angry.

5. The first day we woke up early.
When everybody was awake we had a shower and then we got
dressed.
At 8 o'clock we had breakfast and later we got ready to go to
Alaró Castle.
At 9.30 Toni, one of the leaders, came and he explained what
we were going to do. Later, we started the route.
We were very tired, because we hadn't slept very much, but we
continued walking. We came up to the top, it cost us very much
but finally we came to an esplanade where we stopped to have
lunch.
Half an hour later, we continued rising up to the Alaró Castle. Once
we were in the entry of the castle the sights were precious and
there, Toni told us a legend. When we were in the castle we
stopped to have lunch, then when we finished we went down.

6. When we returned to Orient we had a shower and later we went out to stay
there and talk together. When the dinner was ready, they laid the table and we sat
down to have dinner. After dinner we went to the dinning
room for a while and we listened to the football match
and when the match finished we went to the room. We slept a lot!

8. The second day we went to the homestead of Comma.
We started from Orient to the property. When we entered,
he told us the history and we stopped to have lunch in
front of the homestead, but then we continued to the Puig
d'Amos. The way was very steep and we were tired but
after a few stops we reached the Puig. Not everybody
came to the top, because it was necessary to climb with
harnesses and some people were afraid of it. The sights
from there were precious. After eating we went to see a
talaiot and we did an exercise with compasses. Later we
went down and came in the homestead.
