Muhammad Haseeb Afzal........BSIT–S10–M04 Question#1 Define Moore's Law and explain why it
is significant in the development of ERP. Is Moore's Law still holding? Moore's law predicts that
this trend will continue into the foreseeable future. Although the pace has slowed, the number of
transistors per square inch has since doubled approximately every 18 months. This meant that the
capabilities of computer hardware were doubling every 18 months. During this time, computer
software was also advancing to take advantage of the increasing capabilities of computer hardware.

Without an ERP solution in place, creating that kind of cross–departmental coordination and
workflow execution can be quite challenging. * Another reason an ERP solution is so critical is their
ability to increase information consistency and accuracy. Many companies still suffer from "multiple
versions of the truth" – incorrect and inconsistent information across the business. For example, if
the accounting department and the contact center access two different databases which aren't
integrated, a customer with a billing question will likely get an inaccurate answer if they call the
contact center for assistance. These problems, although they may appear small on the surface, can
add up, leading to bigger customer satisfaction and retention issues that can negatively impact
revenues and market share. * In today's dynamic and highly competitive marketplace, it can
seriously hinder productivity, profitability, and growth. The primary reason an ERP solution is so
vital to a company's success is efficiency. Cumbersome, error–prone, labor–intensive manual
processes can drain both time and money. Businesses must operate as lean as possible in order to
keep the bottom line in check, and failing to automate critical yet routine business activities makes it

Importance Of Enterprise Resource Planning
ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning is explained as a central data collection with wide distribution,
so as compared to functional system instead of having several databases for individual departments
with disconnected spreadsheets ERP can bring everything together for all users from top
management to CEO to accounts payable clerks to work on same data derived through common
processes. ERP had certain security level to verify the data security and its correction. ERP can be a
difficult task, it takes more than months to setup and it costs more than software and hardware, but if
everything is prepared with proper resources than implementation of ERP system can be completed

4–step project design process requires customer seeking participation seeking to benefit from a new
ERP utilized by brett Group as follow: Step 1: Identify and document goals and requirements
Strategic goals Strategic goals or reasons for turning over to new ERP system must be mentioned
clearly, for example if the company is accelerating and if the growth in accounting needs to be
accommodated with current staffing level, so as this step can help determining the return on
investment from new system. Functional requirements Functional requirements for ERP
implementation is identifying key business processes, which not only includes critical activities
which keeps record of cash flow and supply chain but also includes business management reports
and indicators. Requirement of documentation of these process includes or vary from process flow
diagram to simple or descriptive paragraphs called user story. A user story is one of the methods to
documents the requirements and is one of the easiest method to prepare and simple to understand.
User story describes who, what and why questions from user's perspective. Below is an Example: As
a customer support representative, I want to be able to quickly view and track a customer shipment
during a phone call, so that I can respond to customer questions during a phone call. Non–functional

Types Of Sap Hana Models
1 Types of SAP HANA Models
This chapter provides an overview of the different models that can be created in SAP HANA. For
each model type, the chapter defines the model in question, outlines the criteria for choosing it, and
explains its benefits.
1.1 SAP HANA Database Engine Architecture
SAP HANA is an in–memory technology platform that is deployable as an appliance or in the cloud.
Its core is the SAP HANA database, which is built for high performance applications. It makes full
use of the main memory and processing power provided by modern hardware. As relevant data is
kept in main memory, read operations can run in main memory. SAP HANA is also designed to
make full use of multi–core CPUs by parallelization of execution. Research ... Show more content

Application–specific services provided by the XS server are either created declaratively or by
writing server side application code. The XS server also hosts several system services, for example
for data replication, and for analytical queries and search queries over HTTP. Several web–based
tools included with SAP HANA are also running on XS, for example for development, system
administration, and life cycle management.
The name server owns the information about the topology of a SAP HANA system. In a distributed
system, the name server knows where the components are running and which data is located on
which server.
The SAP HANA studio is both development environment and administration tool. Administrators
can use the SAP HANA studio for example to start and stop servers, to monitor the system, to
configure system settings and to manage users and authorizations. As shown in figure 4, the SAP
HANA connects to the SAP HANA servers via SQL. Developers can use the SAP HANA studio to
create content such as data models, modeled views or procedures. These development artifacts are
stored in the SAP HANA repository. The SAP HANA studio is based on the Eclipse platform.
In addition to SAP HANA studio, there are also web–based tools for administration and
development. The server side parts of these tools are system applications that run in the XS server.
Web–based development tools can be used to perform most development tasks in a browser. Web–

2. There are 3 separate SAP systems in the system landscape classify as Development (DEV),
Quality Assurance (QAS), and Production (PROD). The Development system is utilized to elaborate
configurations settings for the system and distinct improvements using ABAP code. These
adjustments are automatically reported in the transport directory, which is a unique data file location
on the DEV server. Modifications recorded in the DEV system are imported into the Quality
Assurance system (QAS), which is where the changes are tested to make sure they function
accordingly. If fixing is required, this is accomplished in the DEV system and then carried again to
the QAS system for testing. After all the configurations settings and ABAP programs pass ... Show

Enterprise architecture can assist in strategically managing an organization's investment in IT.
Enterprise architecture rapidly coordinates their IT strategy with a company's changing business
strategy. Having a clear vision of what the infrastructure required in a firm, will make easy the
building or developing process. On the top of that, enterprise architecture can help with talent
retention thanks to businesses focusing on training for better application usage that gives IT the
opportunity to concentrate on services for internal users/clients and minimizes the number of
technologies support has to assist with. Enterprise architecture also helps with providing the right
information to the right people at the right time. An Enterprise Architecture forces a firm to
document their IT plans and coordinate them with the business needs which is very important for the
success of the IT plan. Business involvement is necessary to make the IT plan a success. 4. SAP's

No Day We Make Conversations
Every day we make conversations. Every day we express ideas and opinions. Every day there is
crucial information being passed long. We use our words every day, however, noise occurs every
day too, so it makes sense that everyone takes the time to learn how to avoid noise and make
effective conversations. Whether we let it disturb our conversations is our own choice. There are
four types of noise that will be discussed in this paper: physiological, physical, psychological, and
semantic.
The first type of noise is physiological noise. This is a distraction to communication caused by
factors that affect how one feels and thinks such as being hungry, fatigued, feeling pain, or being
under the influence of medication. Though it sounds simple, this kind of noise can be difficult to
control. One example of this occurrence is when a person has allergies and decides to take Benadryl.
This medication actually causes drowsiness and even on the bottle of the medication, it says not to
operate machinery afterwards. Being drowsy causes the person to be less aware of the situation and
can cause them to be disjointed when engaged in a conversation. Occasionally, my mother will have
severe allergies and take this medication. Well, one of our favorite family activities is to watch the
TV show "Criminal Minds" and we have a tendency to talk about every part of the movie, making
comments and spectacles with one another, but if my mother has recently taken Benadryl, she

Overview of Cloud Computing
Assessing Cloud Computing As An Enterprise Application Service Introduction Reordering the
economics of software, cloud computing is alleviating many of the capital expenses (CAPEX),
inflexibility of previous–generation software platforms, and inability of on–premise applications to
be customized on an ongoing basis to evolving customer needs. These are the three top factors of
many that are driving the adoption of cloud computing technologies in enterprises today. Implicit in
the entire series of critical success factors that are forcing the migration of on–premise to cloud
computing platforms is the greater agility and speed the latter platform offers. Line–of–business
executives today are increasingly defining the priorities of IT departments, often also defining
budgeting cycles as well. Their primary concern is ability able to quickly get up and running on a
new enterprise application, integrating its workflows into existing legacy and 3rd party systems,
databases and applications, while also getting the performance gains of the new software (Bentley,
2008). Due to these factors cloud computing is evolving rapidly, changing the economics of
enterprise software especially. Large–scale systems are most often purchased using Capital Expense
(CAPEX) budgeting processes that often take several months ot over a year to complete. Often
CAPEX–based spending on enterprise software also requires the board of directors for a company to
authorize spending large amounts on new

Unit Testing Tools : Api Sanity Checker
Assignment 8.1 Unit Testing tools API sanity checker: It is an automatic unit test generator which is
used for the C or C++ shared libraries. These tool can be used as a smoke test for API libraries to
track the problems. The main characteristic of the sanity checker tool is that it can generate
automatically the input arguments and test cases for each and every API function of the library files.
The API sanity checker tool is developed by the Andrey Ponomarenko. The license is provided by
GNU LGPL. In order to generate, build and run the tests we must define the XML descriptor for the
library version. It is a simple XML–file which defines the version number, paths to header files and
also shared libraries information. To improve quality of generated tests, the specialized types are
used. The quality of the generated tests permits to verify the absence of critical errors in the use
cases. The tool is able to build and execute generated tests and detect the problems of all kinds of
emitted signals, non–zero program return code and also program hanging. I prefer this tool as it can
be used for the out–of–the–box low–cost sanity checking of the library API or even a test
development framework is used for initial generation of templates and for advanced tests. It
supports the universal T2C test format, random test generation mode, and also specialized data types
features. Nunit: Test can run parallel. It offers the good support for the data driven tests. It an open

Subcategories of application controls include input controls, processing controls, and output

function, and both are needed to ensure accurate financial reporting, as well as reduce instances of
fraudulent activity." (Hall 2013)
While utilizing the aforementioned controls will greatly reduce risk of financial fraud, there are
inherent risks concerning information technology systems. Organizations integrated in a global

rapid production and ingenuity of increasing computing power, coupled with consistent gains in the
growth of technology, have a direct result in an exponentially vibrant information technology
atmosphere. This dynamic environment causes constant changes within internal controls in
companies. Currently, "IT is considered one of the main risk factors in organizations, and both lack
and excess of such investments can compromise the structure and the operations of the firm."

H2O will provide each employee the best package they can offer so that their stay in the United

Resource Information System (HRIS) that is better than the one they have since they are looking to

Germany and United States locations. Next step is recruiting. H2O needs to make sure that they take

H2O has cut costs somewhere else to compensate their employees. Third step H2O needs to

The Year I Won Chess Nationals
Twenty years ago, when I first took up chess at the age of 5, I was fascinated by the ability of the
game to take a completely different direction from where it was headed with as little as one move
and the endless possibilities this could lead to. By 2005, the year I won chess nationals, I had
developed a great appreciation for all the information about various chess positions I had absorbed
through years of practice which helped me make the right moves. Years later, working at a
management consulting startup as a business analyst, I helped clients, ranging fledgling startups to
industry leaders, make well–informed decisions by providing them with data–backed business
intelligence. Today, with over three years' experience in Management and IT consulting I feel
prepared to make the most out of a Master's program in business analytics that would help me
realize the power that data and the value that could be extracted from it possess.
Fortunate to have grown up in a tech–savvy home in times of tremendous technological
advancement, I developed an affinity to all things technology which got me interested in doing my
Bachelors in Computer science which I took an instant liking to, especially computer programming.

A Large International Purchasing Company
A large international purchasing company is further expanding by buying out a growling local
company that manufactures western wear at several locations. They are known as the cottage

four large and four small is helping with the transition of the company since its acquisition to make
sure that the "Wild Frontier" network is merged with the new domain "Foghorn Leghorn" and
migration of the current standards are put into place. The acquisition allows the existing employees

The TSL is a very low impact service and it requires very little COU or memory for regular
operations and its hard disk requirements are small even for a great deal of clients like the ones seen

allow access from any computing device that is running the Windows–based program or even a full
Windows desktop. The employees will be able to connect to terminal server to run programs and use
network resources on that server. Windows Terminal Services have the ability to meet with many of
the criteria for applications for remote officers. Terminal services with Windows NT the server
hardware was hard pressed to support multiple server sessions. Additionally, 10 Mbps networks are
considered the standard for the terminal services and have the ability to be easily saturated by
network intensive applications. Also, Windows Server 2008 R2 with the terminal services allows
administrators of the networks to deploy a full virtual desktop infrastructure solution. This means
that the terminal server can be configured to host virtual desktop operating systems. For example, if

The Shift Of Interest From Outputs Generated By Smart...
The shift of interest from outputs generated by smart computers to the actual processes that made
the fascinating results possible, in many ways also marked the beginning of a serious passion and
engagement with technology as a discipline and a field of learning. The exciting and appealing
graphics of the best virtual reality games became less significant than the design, the techniques, the
algorithms and the concepts that enabled those compelling features. As an undergraduate student of
Information Science and Engineering, a barrage of questions from me were a given at the end of
lessons. In the Data Structures Lab, I was the most interactive student with queries on storage,
retrieval, modification, and each of these discussions equipped me with deeper and stronger
understanding of best ways of manipulating and accessing large volumes of data. I began to work on
challenging assignments on my own, looking in detail at techniques, experimenting with these,
identifying patterns and trends. Conceptualizing data, and analyzing it to glean meaningful
information became a major passion and observing my self–directed efforts, the professors gave me
herculean tasks that were well above my knowledge levels. I welcomed these challenges and
impressed the teachers with my skills, strong analytical and reasoning abilities and knowledge of
programming. Further, my technical paper on 'Green Cloud Computing' that was presented at a state

Assignment 1: Management Report Advantages Koch (2005) and Montgomery (2003) state
advantages of using the ERP are; Improvement in the time taken to process the data as each
department have same standard and can access to the data easily. Communication between each
department will be improved as well. More flexibility in the system as it comes from one vendor and
the software has been developed to be applicable for all departments in a company. Easier to predict
the costs of buying ERP systems as it only comes from one vendor. Having integrated applications
solutions with no complex interfaces. All of the data is stored in one central database. Disadvantages
Koch (2005) and MacLeod (2002) state disadvantages of using the ERP are; ERP systems are
historically big, complex and expensive. Thus, it may take many years to learn and understand about
the applications. Difficulty in managing people such as having trained staff to understand process
and system implementation better. Lengthy implementation periods because of the complex of the
system. Creates internal conflict within organisations, between departments has different needs and
requirement. This problem can instead bring the business performances down. Upgrading the system
can create a new problem, as it cannot be done

Some of these can be listed as follows:
 Information integration: ERP have the ability to update information between business functions
and components that are related. For example: a customer XYZ places an order. As soon as the order
is placed it triggers production, planning, inventory and other processes. After all these processes get
over, the details regarding product delivery date are given to the user. Thus, the user gets
instantaneous information because of integration of information.
Reduction of lead time: The time taken to deliver an order minus the time at which order was
placed is known as the lead time. Because of the efficient inventory management systems that

Hahahah University of Education Township Campus Lahore Enterprise Resource Planning Assignment #2 Muhammad Haseeb Afzal........BSIT–S10–M04 Question#1 Define Moore's Law and explain why it is significant in the development of ERP. Is Moore's Law still holding? Moore's law predicts that this trend will continue into the foreseeable future. Although the pace has slowed, the number of transistors per square inch has since doubled approximately every 18 months. This meant that the capabilities of computer hardware were doubling every 18 months. During this time, computer software was also advancing to take advantage of the increasing capabilities of computer hardware. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without an ERP solution in place, creating that kind of cross–departmental coordination and workflow execution can be quite challenging. * Another reason an ERP solution is so critical is their ability to increase information consistency and accuracy. Many companies still suffer from "multiple versions of the truth" – incorrect and inconsistent information across the business. For example, if the accounting department and the contact center access two different databases which aren't integrated, a customer with a billing question will likely get an inaccurate answer if they call the contact center for assistance. These problems, although they may appear small on the surface, can add up, leading to bigger customer satisfaction and retention issues that can negatively impact revenues and market share. * In today's dynamic and highly competitive marketplace, it can seriously hinder productivity, profitability, and growth. The primary reason an ERP solution is so vital to a company's success is efficiency. Cumbersome, error–prone, labor–intensive manual processes can drain both time and money. Businesses must operate as lean as possible in order to keep the bottom line in check, and failing to automate critical yet routine business activities makes it nearly ... For each model type, the chapter defines the model in question, outlines the criteria for choosing it, and explains its benefits. 1.1 SAP HANA Database Engine Architecture SAP HANA is an in–memory technology platform that is deployable as an appliance or in the cloud. Its core is the SAP HANA database, which is built for high performance applications. It makes full use of the main memory and processing power provided by modern hardware. As relevant data is kept in main memory, read operations can run in main memory. SAP HANA is also designed to make full use of multi–core CPUs by parallelization of execution. Research ... The name server owns the information about the topology of a SAP HANA system. In a distributed system, the name server knows where the components are running and which data is located on which server. The SAP HANA studio is both development environment and administration tool. Administrators can use the SAP HANA studio for example to start and stop servers, to monitor the system, to configure system settings and to manage users and authorizations. As shown in figure 4, the SAP HANA connects to the SAP HANA servers via SQL. Developers can use the SAP HANA studio to create content such as data models, modeled views or procedures. These development artifacts are stored in the SAP HANA repository. The SAP HANA studio is based on the Eclipse platform. In addition to SAP HANA studio, there are also web–based tools for administration and development. The server side parts of these tools are system applications that run in the XS server. We use our words every day, however, noise occurs every day too, so it makes sense that everyone takes the time to learn how to avoid noise and make effective conversations. Whether we let it disturb our conversations is our own choice. There are four types of noise that will be discussed in this paper: physiological, physical, psychological, and semantic. The first type of noise is physiological noise. This is a distraction to communication caused by factors that affect how one feels and thinks such as being hungry, fatigued, feeling pain, or being under the influence of medication. Though it sounds simple, this kind of noise can be difficult to control. One example of this occurrence is when a person has allergies and decides to take Benadryl. This medication actually causes drowsiness and even on the bottle of the medication, it says not to operate machinery afterwards. Being drowsy causes the person to be less aware of the situation and can cause them to be disjointed when engaged in a conversation. Occasionally, my mother will have severe allergies and take this medication. Well, one of our favorite family activities is to watch the TV show "Criminal Minds" and we have a tendency to talk about every part of the movie, making comments and spectacles with one another, but if my mother has recently taken Benadryl, she doesn't take in ... Overview of Cloud Computing Assessing Cloud Computing As An Enterprise Application Service Introduction Reordering the economics of software, cloud computing is alleviating many of the capital expenses (CAPEX), inflexibility of previous–generation software platforms, and inability of on–premise applications to be customized on an ongoing basis to evolving customer needs. These are the three top factors of many that are driving the adoption of cloud computing technologies in enterprises today. Implicit in the entire series of critical success factors that are forcing the migration of on–premise to cloud computing platforms is the greater agility and speed the latter platform offers. Line–of–business executives today are increasingly defining the priorities of IT departments, often also defining budgeting cycles as well. Their primary concern is ability able to quickly get up and running on a new enterprise application, integrating its workflows into existing legacy and 3rd party systems, databases and applications, while also getting the performance gains of the new software (Bentley, 2008). Due to these factors cloud computing is evolving rapidly, changing the economics of enterprise software especially. Large–scale systems are most often purchased using Capital Expense (CAPEX) budgeting processes that often take several months ot over a year to complete. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... H2O will provide each employee the best package they can offer so that their stay in the United States is as comfortable as possible. This company must first seek to look for a decent Human Resource Information System (HRIS) that is better than the one they have since they are looking to expand. They need to make sure whatever software they purchase is able to meet the needs of their Germany and United States locations. Next step is recruiting. H2O needs to make sure that they take into consideration when sending experts to the United States or hiring employees from within the United States. Human Resources should have a budget for employees in areas of payroll, benefits, workers compensation, compliance, exit processes, legal and taxes. All of these things have to be considered. The reason for having an established budget is to ensure new hires are not laid off if H2O has cut costs somewhere else to compensate their employees. Third step H2O needs to consider is training and development. They should ask themselves how they want to train their employees in the United States. Will they do on–the–job training or will H2O require the employees

The Year I Won Chess Nationals Twenty years ago, when I first took up chess at the age of 5, I was fascinated by the ability of the game to take a completely different direction from where it was headed with as little as one move and the endless possibilities this could lead to. By 2005, the year I won chess nationals, I had developed a great appreciation for all the information about various chess positions I had absorbed through years of practice which helped me make the right moves. Years later, working at a management consulting startup as a business analyst, I helped clients, ranging fledgling startups to industry leaders, make well–informed decisions by providing them with data–backed business intelligence. Today, with over three years' experience in Management and IT consulting I feel prepared to make the most out of a Master's program in business analytics that would help me realize the power that data and the value that could be extracted from it possess. Fortunate to have grown up in a tech–savvy home in times of tremendous technological advancement, I developed an affinity to all things technology which got me interested in doing my Bachelors in Computer science which I took an instant liking to, especially computer programming. In my first year of engineering, the year following my mother's passing, I chose to deal with the loss by immersing myself in extracurricular activities and went on to win the first prize in chess, cricket and football tournaments and finished runner–up in the ... The shift of interest from outputs generated by smart computers to the actual processes that made the fascinating results possible, in many ways also marked the beginning of a serious passion and engagement with technology as a discipline and a field of learning. The exciting and appealing graphics of the best virtual reality games became less significant than the design, the techniques, the algorithms and the concepts that enabled those compelling features. As an undergraduate student of Information Science and Engineering, a barrage of questions from me were a given at the end of lessons. In the Data Structures Lab, I was the most interactive student with queries on storage, retrieval, modification, and each of these discussions equipped me with deeper and stronger understanding of best ways of manipulating and accessing large volumes of data. I began to work on challenging assignments on my own, looking in detail at techniques, experimenting with these, identifying patterns and trends. Conceptualizing data, and analyzing it to glean meaningful information became a major passion and observing my self–directed efforts, the professors gave me herculean tasks that were well above my knowledge levels. I welcomed these challenges and impressed the teachers with my skills, strong analytical and reasoning abilities and knowledge of programming.
