I started off using some researched images of abandoned areas and buildings using the
internet. Once finding several of the pictures that suited my type of scenario I had to make a choice between which one to use. I liked this one because it was a
fairly simple one and not only had that but had a good angle to it. Once I placed it into illustrator I then started planning how I was going design it and which part
to start off using.

Once I decided with creating the street first I used the ‘’eyedropper’’ tool to get
the right colour of the pavement. Once I calculated the right colour that I was comfortable with using I then zoomed in to get a good view of the edge of that side
of the street then used the ‘’pen’’ tool to go over the original picture but with my pen drawing itself.

After finishing the right hand side I started focusing on the entire street and gravel part of
the road. Throughout the process of tracing the original photos with the pen tool. We had to categorize each part of our work. As you can see in the bottom right.
Each time I created a new surface I had another so they wouldn’t interfere with one another. This process was quiet tricky at first because of the layer needed to
be names individually corresponding with what I created.
4. 25/11/2013
Throughout the process of creating the surfaces and creating them in multiple layers
I created the side of the house with the same usage of technique I used earlier. Using the eyedropper tool then with the right colour detected I then created a
new layer and then created my surface with that colour selected.

This is the final product for my illustrator background that I created
from scratch using a image from Google images. Then I went on the create my character that will be placed in the front of the background itself.

For my character himself. I browsed the internet for actors wearing
leather jackets with the correct pose I wanted, and the right quality and perspective. Once I found this image I imported it into illustrator and started planning
my design.
6. 29/11/2013
As I did previously I traced my surfaces with the pen tool going over the
orginal image itself but with different shades and colours on different parts of the clothing and body.
30/11/2013
Once I slowly went through each layer making
each part of the body and clothing with the right colour I felt was right for my character I decided to finish it off there.
