Compare And Contrast Po2 And Pco2 Saturation
The baseline value of this experiment was the PO2, PCO2 and Hb–O2 saturation during normal
breathing. These baseline value (table 1) allow the comparison between different breathing patterns
to normal breathing. The results (Figure 1, 2, 3 & table 1) of this experiment shows that breath–hold
compare to normally breathing, mean PO2 decrease, mean PCO2 increase (figure 1) and mean Hb–
O2 saturation slightly decrease (Figure 2). Moreover, comparing p values of breath–hold to breath–
hold after hyperventilation, which is less than 0.05, meaning there is significant changes in mean
PO2 and PCO2 (table 2), mean PO2 decrease, mean PCO2 increase (figure 1), and mean oxygen
haemoglobin saturation increase (figure 2), the mean duration of breath hold decrease

Demonstrative Speech on Cpr Essay
Introduction
Attention Getter: What if one of your friends just fell to the ground because they couldn't breathe,
would you know what to do, could you perform CPR if it was needed? It is said by the American
Heart Association that sadly 70% of Americans do not know how to do CPR, or they just don't
remember how.
Central Idea: I want to inform you all that knowing CPR is very important.
Preview of Points: Today we will explore the right ways to perform CPR, when you should and
should not do it, and why you should learn it and become certified.
Credibility Statement/Tie to the Audience: I have worked in many summer camps as a lifeguard so it
was required for me to learn j

a. We call it "CAB," C–Circulation, A–Airway, and B–Breaths
b. First make sure, the scene is safe and then have someone to call 911.
c. Next we will start on the first letter, "C" which is circulation. In order to determine if the victim's
heart is beating, place two fingertips on the right place in their neck to check the pulse, and apply
slight pressure for several seconds, then we will start COMPRESSIONS.
i. When performing chest compressions, proper hand placement is very important. ii. Place your
hands in the correct position in the frontal area of the victim. iii. Place one hand on top of the other
and hook the fingers. Lock your elbows and using your body's weight, compress the victim's chest.
iv. The compressions should be at least 2 inches
v. Count aloud as you compress 30 times at 3 compressions for every 2 seconds or approximately
100 compressions per minute.
d. Then we will start on the second letter, which is "A" the AIRWAY.
i. Put the person on his or her back on a firm surface. ii. Kneel next to the person's neck and
shoulders. iii. Open the person's airway using the head tilt–chin lift. iv. Put your palm on the
person's forehead and gently push down.
v. Then with the other hand, gently lift the chin forward to open the airway. vi. Check for normal
breathing, taking no more than 10 seconds: Look for chest motion, listen for breath sounds, and

Alternate Nostril Breathing Exercise Analysis
There will be 6 different breathing exercises that have different levels of difficulties and when the
exercise works best. 1.) "Equal Breathing": begin by inhaling for a count of 4 and exhaling to a
count of 4. All with the nose which provides a natural resistance to the breath. This calms the
nervous system and reduces stress for the body by providing balance.
Works best: Anytime and anywhere. It is especially effective before bed if one is having trouble
sleeping. It is similar of counting sheep and takes your mind off of distracting thoughts.
Level of difficulty: Beginner 2.)Abdominal Breathing Technique: Place one hand on your chest and
one hand on your stomach. Take a deep breath in through the nose to ensure the diaphragm expands
with enough air to stretch the lungs. The goal is to take around 6 to 10 deep breaths per minute for
10 minutes each day. This experience will allow your heart rate and blood pressure to decrease. ...

This can help one who is in a stressed state of mind to control their breath and calm them down.
Level of difficulty: Beginner 3.) "Alternate Nostril Breathing": This exercise is to bring calm and
balance by connecting the left and right sides of the brain. First start by being in a comfortable
upright pose then hold the right nostril with your right thumb and inhale deeply with your left
through the left nostril. At the end of the inhalation, close the left nostril with your ring finger on
your left hand then exhale with your right nostril. Continue the process by inhaling through the right
nostril and closing it off with your right thumb then exhale with your left nostril.
Works best: Whenever you need to focus. It reenergizes and awakes you like a cup of coffee

The Snake River, Yellowstone National Park
As the gentle Colorado sun peaked through the hotel blinds, serenely flooding the room, I dreamt
that I was drowning. My hands are frantically grasping for a flipped raft, my body haphazardly
tossing and twisting through the rushing current like a rag doll as my mind flashes with some last
fleeting images of my terrified family a few feet away. And right before the water closes in, I catch a
quick glimpse of the sign directly above me––Snake River, Yellowstone National Park.
Coming to a conclusion that whitewater rafting down the Snake River was one of the worst
decisions my family has ever made, I sulked, and whined, and complained the whole walk down to
the docks. My parents, the guides, and a girl about my age in our group, all told me, "don't worry,
it'll be fun." But their efforts were pointless, and I picked up on a conversation behind me, where
someone was casually talking about the overwhelming chance the raft would flip over. Nevertheless,
everyone apparently believed it was something I would look back on and maybe even write a
personal narrative about.
Suddenly, in the middle of all that sulking and whining and complaining, I found myself in a wetsuit
and oversized life jacket, glaring at the side of a roaring river, scowling at the wispy trees that
seemed to be waving goodbye while they whispered about my tragic, inevitable death. I barely
caught the tail–end of his speech as the guide droned on about, "––and that is how you lift someone
out of the water using

Mediation : The Three Pillars Of Zen By Roshi Phillip Kapleau
"Mediation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward
and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom" (Buddha). Mediation is a means
of transforming the mind and for myself it did exactly that. For the past two weeks I have decided to
not change myself but add something new to my life to see what exactly it does to the body and
mind. For two weeks straight I practiced with the breath meditation techniques for at least ten
minutes. The experience and feeling was life changing. Before I began I read how to exactly
practice mediation in the Three Pillars of Zen by Roshi Phillip Kapleau. I learned step by step
everything I needed to know on how to meditate, from posture to breathing. I tried all the postures
that Kapleau talked about such as the traditional zazen positions of sitting full lotus and half lotus.
As well as the traditional Japanese style which is sitting on your heels and calves. I actually really
enjoyed the full lotus position where my I placed my foot of my right leg over the thigh of my left
and the foot of my left left over the though of my right thigh. I then made both my knees completely
touch the mat which I was sitting on. This position really opened at first was slightly uncomfortable
but once I had it down it feel relaxing and southing. I then leaned my body forward and slowly lifted
my body back up in a straight posture with my ears in line with my shoulders and my back
completely straight.

The Necklace-Personal Narrative
Late April, my eyes moved to the white jewelry box on the dresser, noticing it was left open, and my
brow rose. It was a strange sight as I remembered closing it the night before, and I inched closer to
see a silver necklace, embroidered with icons coiled in the center. I fingered it curious, and although
archaic, it was in mint condition. My heart pumped quicker as goose bumps invaded my limbs, and
my fingertips rang as a stark volt of electricity ventured up my spine, prickling my skin, and I
dropped it. A violent shudder ripped through me with the buzz of my phone. I drew a deep breath,
and bent down to retrieve the necklace, but it hovered off the ground by itself, and I backed away
covering my mouth. When it fell gently to the ground, I quickly scooped it up, stuffing it in the
jewelry box, shutting it, and checked the message unfamiliar with the number. Dear, my lovely

gazes. As a result, I looked to the side, then to the other avoiding eye contact, but his eyes never
moved. He stood making his way to his exit. Before he got off, he turned to stare at me one last
time. The next stop came, and I got off crossing the street to the studio. I checked in at the desk with
the receptionist, and she assured me my agent had taken care of the last minute paperwork. This

The Importance Of A Valuable Tool For Mental Skills And...
Mindful breathing teaches how to quiet the everlasting dialogue that truly ravages our brain. It is
really simplification of the present without thoughts about the past, the future, or any baggage in
between. Simply just breathing deeply while focusing on each breath is mindful breathing. The end
result is better mental clarity, focus, and increased physical and mental performance benefiting
athletes, students, pilots, and businessmen, to name a few. This discussion covers: reasons why to
conduct this valuable tool to enhance mental skills and improve health, mindful breathing in sports,
techniques on how to conduct it, and my personal experience and suggestions.
Why conduct mindful breathing? It clears the mind allowing one to shed unnecessary and distracting
thoughts, thereby reducing the low–grade anxiety associated with the "monkey mind" that
constantly involves itself in planning, catastrophizing, or wishing for something different. Taking
time to be in the moment with a short break allows the brain's muscle to recover and recharge. This
improves one's job performance to include sports and academics, enhances relationships, and can
help one fall asleep faster. Health benefits include a stronger immune system due to less stress and
lower blood pressure, less skin issues from psoriasis, and less symptoms associated with lung
disease plus mindful breathing reduces stress on the heart.

Fire Breathing Dragon Study
Effects of a Fire Breathing Dragon In a land far, far away, an evil elf named Lindsay lived in a stone
house. Lindsay enjoyed causing trouble around the village; in fact, she was notorious for her
wrongdoings. Because she was mischievous, Lindsay gained enemies and lost her friends. It was
also difficult for her to find a job, so money was an issue for her. All of her problems began to weigh
heavy upon her heart, so she decided to do something about it. Lindsay set out on a quest to find a
companion. While walking through the forest, she stumbled upon an object that appeared to be some
type of egg. After much study, Lindsay discovered that this object was a dragon egg. Instead of
being frightened, Lindsay expressed her pure joy by doing the ... Show more content on

Yes, a house fire could become a possibility; however, this fire could be used as a very elite weapon.
As mentioned previously, Lindsay creates very many enemies. She has betrayed the trolls under the
bridges by not paying her toll to cross. Also, she has angered the giants by stealing their large
produce. Therefore, Lindsay has too many enemies to go without any protection. A fire breathing
dragon could provide all of the necessary protection. The dragon's fire breath works substantially
well to burn down enemies. Because the dragon has wings, the giants will not be a threat; the dragon
can fly high to be face–to–face with the giants. The wings will also provide the dragon with agility
to miss the giants' punches. A dragon owner will be heavily protected with the presence of their
dragon. In addition to protection, the dragon can also provide transportation. Lindsay's home is in a
very distant land. The nearest market is 50 miles away, and the nearest hospital is 40 miles away.
Lindsay may be an evil elf, but she still likes to visit her parents who live even farther away. With
her dragon, she can just ride the dragon to any destination. This way of transportation is cheap too;
she does not have to pay any bridge tolls or anything. Also, Lindsay can train her dragon to hunt, so
that she does not have to buy the dragon or herself food. The dragon can provide a cheap, fun way

Analysis Of The Poem ' Alex. What Did You Do? '
"Alex. What did you do?"

and fall unnoticed as a blackened charcoal fleck. When did I...
"It's your fault. There's no other way this story goes," said Elise, her voice leaving traces of hate to
linger. With no control of my words, I argue back. "Why? Why does it have to be my fault?" Elise
shakes her head in disgust, imitating the 'why' that escape my mouth and scoffs. "Are you kidding
me?" "No, c'mon Elise," interjects Gabriel. "Let's not do this right now." "You're going to learn,
Gabriel." Elise paces towards him and motions at me. "I swear to... The town looks at her like she

analyse the memory, making me see it all over again. I become still and quiet for a moment before
speaking. "It would take a very sick person to see it that way, and I would love to hear an
explanation." "Layla was going to leave town with me. She was free until this one convinced her to

Child Labor During The 1800 ' S
Zach Wood October 5, 2016 Child Labor 1880–1910 Child labor was very common in the late
1800's and the early 1900's in many places. Child labor usually took place in a factory working on a
manufacturer line or doing as much physical labor as they could possibly do, being as young as they
are. These kids who took part in child labor started some as early as the age of four or five, and then
kept working until the day they died. Most of the time these kids has to work as much or sometimes
more than even adults nowadays work. They would go to the factory while the sun comes up, work
all day, and then go home at night to eat; and then wake up and do it all again the next day. These
kids also were not working easy jobs, these jobs were very physical and hard labor. Also, the
working conditions these kids worked in were not always as good as they needed to be. Sometimes
they would even be put in situations where they could die any time of the day while at work. The
wage for these kids were not to good either, some would get paid very, very little, and some would
not get paid at all. Kids had no choice but to work and if they didn't work they would not survive,
therefore they would really work for any price. Which was usually a lot cheaper than any adult
would work for. There were many different place in which child labor took place in, places ranging
from just cleaning houses, or doing small house work, to a full day job with very intense physical
labor.

Personal Narrative-Grounded In My Voice
At the start of the semester I had become more aware and grounded in my voice. In my everyday
life, I would notice if I was holding my breath. The reason for this was because over the summer I
had to stand–up to one of my shut–up judges, my dad. The incident was extremely emotional, and I
coped with it through the use of my actor training; instead of checking out and holding tension, I
chose to breathe deeply and stay grounded. This allowed me to speak up even when I was told to
shut–up. This awareness of breath was developed through necessity rather than choice. I had to be
strong. My strength didn't only come from being grounded in my breath, but it also came using
breathe to stay present in the room. The use of breath also allowed me to go into my body and
release the build–up of emotions. As a result of these experiences, my voice was able to drop more
consistently to my lower resonator rather than my typical chest voice.
The new drop in my voice had its own challenges as well. One, of course, was to avoid reverting
into old habits. When it comes to voice work, effort should be applied every day. Just because I was
breathing deep one day, doesn't mean I am allowed to stop the next day. Throughout this whole
semester, I've had to continuously be aware of my voice and breath. The interesting thing was that I

This is the technique that gave me my passion, this is the technique that gave me part of my

me who I am today. The reason this technique of mine is so important to who I am is because it is
applied to three things in my life that I am most passionate about. Track, marching band, and praise

part in how I define myself. When I first started running track I was in the 4th grade. I didn't really

Lesson One: Introduction to Alcohol
Learning Objective: By the end of the lesson the students should have a good grasp on the fact that
when you put alcohol in your body you can't do things you normally would be able to do.
Activity: Dollar Bill Jump
Concept: When you are under the influence of some drugs, you have the belief that you can

they could do it. However, when they try, they find the task to be impossible for most and tough for

Lesson Two: Introduction to Tobacco
Learning Objective: By the end of this lesson students will be able to understand how smoking and
tobacco effects our lungs and our ability to breath comfortably.
Activity: Jogging in Place
Concept: When a person smokes a cigarette he is inhaling tar into his lungs. The lungs have tiny
sacs called "alveoli". These sacs allow the breathing process to work. Some of the tar that makes its
way into the lungs becomes deposited in these tiny air sacs. Two things can occur. First, the sacs can
become filled up with tar and cease to function. Second, the air sacs can fill up with tar and burst.
Either way, it reduces the ability of your lungs to do their job. When this occurs, you experience a
shortness of breath. When it becomes severe, it is called emphysema. But you don't have to have to
have emphysema to have reduced breathing capacity. This can occur just a short time after you start
smoking. Here is a fun fact, the tar that is used in cigarettes is the same tar that is used to make
asphalt roads. If you were to smoke one pack of cigarettes per day for a year, you would be inhaling
the equivalent of a quart jar of tar into your lungs per year.

Essay Stress Management
Stress, we all struggle with it. We know it can shorten our lives, age us too early, make us miserable

I continued doing breath counting for a few days until one night my Mom called to say that my Dad
was in the intensive care and was going to have an emergency bypass surgery in an hour. My Dad
and I have a very close relationship and I have never met anybody who loves me more than he does.
I could not possibly imagine him going through a bypass. As soon as I heard the news, I felt my
body was preparing me for the fight or flight state. My hands became cold and sweaty (to shunt
blood to the large muscles, and sweat to cool of my body) and my breathing became fast and

to relax throughout the day, but every time I sat and tried to take a few deep breaths, I waged an
internal struggle with myself, so I gave up. I was stuck on negative thoughts and I was experiencing
headaches, eating, and sleeping disorders. As soon as I realized I was experiencing the symptoms of

Increasingly more these days we have seen countless suggestions to practice the common art and

Review Of ' The Golden Eyes '
That was when she saw him, clinging to a small piece of broken wood floating in the now dark
waters. His golden eyes widened as he struggled to hang on, showing absolutely no signs of fear.
Clary pushed her way through the floating debris, the ocean 's current was much stronger than she
anticipated. He floated in the icy water, his fingers refusing to let go of the wood. Jace could feel his
strength slowly beginning to slip away, as he drifted in and out of consincouness. She swam over to
the spot where she 'd seen him fall. Various objects floated around in the water including small
pieces of wood, barrells, rope, and even a very small part of the ship 's broken mast. Dark crimson
blood poured from the small wound. He looked to his left, and that was before a huge wave crashed
right into him, and knocked the poor prince from the wood, right back into the water. Clary 's green
eyes widened in terror, as she watched the beautiful man fall into an abyss of complete darkness.
"JACE!" she cried, knowing a human couldn 't survive in the underwater kingdom. Using all of her
strength, she dove back into the water to find him. It was very difficult to see through the murky
waters, for the ship had crashed above into a surge of rocks and was now lost and gone. She swam
through the various wreckage in her way, as she saw Jace going deeper and deeper right down to the
ocean 's floor. His arms were spread wide and lifeless, as he continued to float towards the bottom of
the sea. He

Inflating Mind Simulation
Trick#8: Improve your memory by "inflating" your memory like a balloon
The good thing about mind simulation is that they often feel real and if you are one of those who
play video games you are certainly familiar with the concept. So, here inflating your memory like a
balloon consists of:
–One, see (visualize) a balloon inflating in front of your eyes.
–Two, imagine that the same thing is happening with your head (which represents your head). So,
here the bigger the balloon gets inflated the more you should imagine your head getting big and at
the same time your memory being enhanced.
–Three, the more you imagine the balloon getting bigger, the more you start feeling that you can
actually see in your mind. At this point, take a big breath ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Evaluate how effective and how fast your memory works once you get your adrenaline shots and
compare it to how productive you are when you are calm and not excited.
–Trick #12: Instantly improve your memory by letting chai tea work on your senses
Chai tea originated from India and as much as it is full of exotic flavors It is also good for your
memory. So:
–Warm yourself a cup and let the herbs work in the warm water for a minute maximum.
–Then, start sipping once on the tea. Count to 10 and then take two more sips. Let the tea work on
you and "crawl" into your senses (take 10 seconds to do this).
–Next, take more sips and each time "oxygenate" your brain and enhance your memory by breathing
in and out, helping the ingredients in the tea "travel" through your head and "unlock" your memory.
The trick consists of absorbing all the memory enhancing properties of the tea by helping get
absorbed through sipping and breathing at the same time.
After you are done with your cup, you can then take advantage of the chai tea which has just
unlocked your memory, which is free from barriers, "dust and spiders" and reveal a refreshed and
dynamic memory.
Now it's your turn to take advantage of the chai tea and clean out your memory from anything
preventing from being

Introduction to Different Types of Mental Training
An athlete qualifying for an Olympic Final competes against athletes who are fit, strong, flexible,
powerful and skilful. All the competitors have devoted time and energy to becoming top–class
athletes. However, there is only one champion and two medal winners. Often the difference between
a medal and eighth place is a fraction of a second or a few centimetres. Interviews with athletes who
succeed at this highest level often focus on which aspect of their preparation made them different
from everyone else. Nine times out of ten these great athletes refer to a mental edge or psychological
toughness.
An athlete who wants to compete against other talented athletes needs to think ... Show more

Then you're able to imagine yourself coping with these negative influences in a number of ways and
being able to perform the task successfully.
Developing Confidence
A football player has been taking penalties for his team on a regular basis but keeps missing them
which have knocked his confidence in his ability to score penalties. The sport psychologist could
work with the player asking him to remember having a strong support foot placement, striking the
ball hard and true, thinking about where exactly he wants the ball to go, seeing the ball hit the back
of the net and thinking about the elation experienced at successfully scouring a goal. The sport
psychologist would do this because seeing yourself perform well in your mind is a good way of
increasing a sense of mastery. It increases your belief in your ability to perform a task.
Relaxation
A sprinter is in the start position in the final of the men's 100m hurdles at the Olympics Games. In
this example the athlete would imagine emotions associated with relaxation and together with other
techniques such as breathing exercises, could try to control anxiety, arousal and stress levels
Mental Rehearsal
Mental rehearsal is one aspect of imagery. It is a strategy for practicing something in your mind
before actually performing the task. The difference between mental rehearsal and imagery is that
mental rehearsal does not take into account how the skill is rehearsed or what senses and emotions
are used

Analysis Of The Poem ' The Sea '
The Ocean
''Come in Ally,'' Kevin says. I shake my head without a moment 's hesitation. I do not want to go in
the ocean. My mind is racing through all of the different animals that are in that ocean, just waiting
for me. What if I get stung? What if a crab pinches me? What if I get eaten? There are so many
really big animals in there that could swallow me in one bite! Then I close my eyes and focus on my
breathing. Take a deep breath in and let it out. Smell the roses and blow out the candles. I breath in
the crisp summer air and decide I am ready to open my eyes again. When I do, I become aware of
every wave, ripple, and sparkle reflecting off the water.
My eyes follow my family as they are thrown with every wave that ... Show more content on

I can't go in the water. I can't. My breathing is so fast that I fear I might pass out.
It feels like an eternity, but it has only been a few seconds. We get so far out that the water is up to
Kevin's waist and my feet start to touch the water. Kevin tries to let me go, but I will not let go. I
can't. Unexpectedly he goes underwater with him still carrying me. The shock of the water takes me
by surprise and I let go. My feet hit the sand and I let out a gasp. Even though the sand is warm and
soft I do not want to be touching it.
I push myself up out of the water and as soon as I get up, a huge wave pushes my back underwater
and I am thrown into the sand. It is soft, yet it still hurt. I push myself to stay in. This isn't so bad.
Another wave comes and it pulls me under again and a rock is being pushed into my knee. The rock
drags across my leg drawing blood. I get out of the ocean and look at my leg. It doesn't look too bad
but it definitely left a mark. My breathing slows down as I close my eyes.
When I calm down I realize that my mouth is turned upwards at the corners. Am I smiling? Then I
realize that was the most fun I have had in awhile. Sure I got hurt a little, but I am not eaten, stung,
or pinched. I thought that my thoughts would never change. Until now.

I was living in a apartment and had a bedroom in the basement. And so, my room was in the
basement. One day, I had pulled 50lbs weight at work and so after I got home, I had issue breathing
in my basement. In fact, I couldn't breath or yawn properly. It was weird, but it was getting better
and so i went to bed. But I couldn't sleep due to breathing and I kept turning and tossing around.
And so I started thinking about if I was rolling my back and crossing my arms the way vampire
sleeps in the coffin. I started looking up at the ceiling, trying to sleep and then suddenly i felt like I
was frozen still. I can not move my legs or hands. I tried everything to move my arms free but I felt
like I was submerged in molasses. I began to panic every time I had those movement. I started
thinking about What the hell is happening with me? Is it sleep paralysis? I'm still awake at the
midnight. I began to panic and the first thought came to my mind was that whatever I did was not
healthy. It was much than i had thought for a while. I had no control over my breathing ability. I
always felt pressure against my heart and lungs. I tried loosening my arm free and finally I pulled
my arms free. I need water to wake myself up and start breathing normally again. I crawled out of
my bed and dragged my body towards the door. The light was off so there was high chances to

Mindfulness, Super Brain Yoga And Square Breathing
Mindfulness, Super Brain Yoga and Square Breathing
Mindfulness is a yoga practiced used to self–assess for awareness in the present moment (Leland,
2015) When practiced in the moment, mindfulness has been shown to reduce the negative effects of
excessive worry, in the moment, and self–doubt (Jennings & Jennings, 2013). Mindfulness is an
important component of Eastern religions but has been used in schools to help students increase
their awareness of their focus and anxieties in an attempt to overcome them. In the classroom, the
purpose of mindfulness is not an attempt to permanently move mountains, but rather to find a way
around the stumbling block in the mental path.
Yoga has been shown, through research, to reduce anxiety (Kirkwood, Rampes, Tuffrey, Richardson,
& Pilkington, 2005). Yoga is widely practiced by groups of people for various reasons and with
ranging levels of devotion. Some seek out yoga and other Eastern religions to seek a higher plane of
knowledge and inner peace. Others simply want the benefits of the calming exercises. Some parents
may even become upset with the idea of teaching religion in school, but in this aspect, yoga and its
benefits are easily taught and can be easily practiced and mastered in a classroom for amazing
benefits for students who need to learn to assess their anxiety levels and address them in a way to
help alleviate some of the anxiety that is negatively impacting their focus and learning.

Gated Radiotherapy Using Internal Ducial Markers
Next, we talk about gated radiotherapy using internal ducial markers. Multiple internal ducial
markers (normally three to ve numbers) are implanted in or around the tumor site to track the
tumor motion in real–time during treatment cycles in order to identify breathing phase and
displacement such that the optimal gate can be designed Seppenwoolde et al. (2002); Shirato et al.
(2000); Shimizu et al. (2001); Kitamura et al. (2002, 2003, 2002);
Shimizu et al. (2000); Shirato et al. (2003). The individual markers are tracked in all three directions
using imaging techniques such as conventional cone beam CT kV projection images.
The tumor location is determined by averaging the marker coordinates in the SI, AP and Lateral
directions independently. The markers are gold plated and 2mm in diameter.
Pre–treatment simulations are performed on the patient using digitally reconstructed radiographs
DRRs Russako et al. (2005) that are computed from the planning CT data. This is done to test
whether the patient can handle the invasive procedure of marker implantation; to delineate the tumor
and surrounding anatomical structures; perform simulations on the generated DRRs over multiple
breathing cycles using identical treatment setup geometry at end–of–inhale phase and end–of–
exhale phase to design an optimal treatment plan that delivers tumoricidal dose while avoiding
normal tissue toxicity. The gating location and size are determined by comparing the marker
position during the

Describe The Importance Of Using Proper Breathing...
Using proper breathing techniques in pilates is crucial. There's one basic rule to breathing when
exercising that applies to all workouts. When the move is difficult exhale; when it's easy inhale. This
helps to get through the difficult part of the move. To fully understand why it's so important to have
proper breathing, it is necessary to understand the basics of pilates. In pilates, all the energy comes
from the core. If you were to take a string and tie it around your body where your bellybutton is,
everything the string touches is your core. The main type of breathing in pilates, lateral breathing,
emphasizes this. With lateral breathing, instead of pushing the stomach out, pull the core muscles in
and expand the rib cage on the inhale.

The Importance Of Life In Life
Everyone in life has faced different obstacles, I mean when you're brought up you learn that life isn't
a nice pleasant place. One of my favorite quotes of all time is by Sylvester Stallone who said, "Let
me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very
mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life." Life is defined by how you advance past these
obstacles that are put in your path. Look at the successful people life such as: Bill Gates, Steve Jobs,
Walt Disney, Mark Cuban, etc. All of these people have experienced failure or tragedy before
making millions; however, they did not let this tragedy impair their vision of success. In my life I
have experienced many tragedies much like everyone else in this world, but there is one tragedy that
has affected the way I am today and the outlook I have in life. Earlier this year my grandpa had been
diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. For those who don't know what pulmonary fibrosis is, it is
essentially the scarring of the tissue in your lungs causing shortness of breath and making it hard to
breathe. Now I was devastated by this obstacle in my life. I hated to sit there and watch him struggle
breathing while just sitting in that unembellished hospital bed. The doctors told us that there was no
cure for his disease, and that ultimately he'd have to fight. They did set him up

Short Speech On Breathing
Breathing is the main thing we do when we are conceived, and the exact opposite thing we do
before we bite the dust, yet how much significance do we provide for breathing? We can remain
alive for long stretches without eating, drinking or resting, yet in the event that we can not inhale,
we bite the dust inside a couple of minutes.
Tragically, a large portion of us don't mull over our ability to breathe, since it is automatic, and we
as a whole do it overall 20,000 times each day, but yet why is breathing legitimately so important to
our lives?
Breathing is imperative for two reasons:
1. It supplies our bodies and its different organs with oxygen, which is fundamental for our survival.
2. With our breathing, we additionally dispose of waste and toxins from the body.
A few indications of awful breathing:
– Holding our breath now and again
– Feel the requirement for a long breath
– Have a short breath
– Ran exhausted when we are moving quicker.
Our breathing is likewise the connection between our body and our brain and for both to work well,
they require oxygen. In the event that our method for breathing is short and speedy our psyches will
be anxious and disturbed. On the off chance that our breathing is sporadic the brain is on edge and
exasperates. Moreover, one of the main causes of a bad breathing can be a lack of exercise, but that
is not always so. By learning how to breathe well we will become healthier and stronger, but not
only knowing how to breathe

The Gap Between Vocal And Instrumental Instruction
Throughout the beginning of music education, there has been a divide. A separation between the
lands of vocalists and instrumentalists existed and still exists today. While it isn't a conscience
happening at all times, it can divide a music program into two separate entities. Figuring out how
the two areas can coincide will ultimately get music educators on the right tracks for building an
excelling program. When students feel that they can be in both and feel wanted in each area and not
feel tension between the directors and the music choices, they can thrive. Removing the gap
between vocal and instrumental instruction can be done by researching alike techniques and
implementing the coinciding department into either program.

With woodwind players, tone can be changed by simply changing the space in the throat and mouth.
The same can be said of brass players, but one other aspect lies in the amount of space between the
teeth. If enough space between the teeth is not present, especially with young brass players, an
unpleasant buzzing sound will occur, once again hindering a beautiful tone. The directors of
vocalists push and push for more space in the mouth and throat, especially with young singers that
want to sound like the next greatest pop artist. The music performed in the context of concerts and
contests at the high school and middle school level, however, need just the opposite.
The last way technique overlaps, is in the use of warmups, and technical exercises. Instrumentalists
use these on a reoccurring basis for warmups before rehearsal. Scales are learned at a brisk tempo
for auditions and at the collegiate level, technique books and extended technique exercises are
studied. These are used to not only warm up air, but to also warm up the fingers and gain dexterity.
For vocalists, similar processes occur. Before rehearsing, vocalists use warmups; most of which are
based on scales, arpeggios and other theory points. They are used to warm up the voice, and get
performers aware of their breathing and voice flexibility. All of these are extremely similar to their
voice counterparts. Some

The Importance Of Summer In The Summer
Summer days are anticipated year round; there are always kids or even parents that are dreading the
last school days, and just waiting to go to the beach or sit in the air conditioning and watch a movie.
Summer has always been highly anticipated in my life, and not for reasons like most people. In my
life, summers do not mean relaxation and going to the beach. Although I am not making a sandcastle
in the sand, I get to play in a different kind of soil: dirt. Softball is a game that requires players to get
dirty, whether that means sticking the glove in the dirt to field the ground ball or sliding because
there is close play at the base. One summer in particular, I didn't only get dirty on the field, but my
whole life got a whole lot messier. The biggest lessons I have learned in my life have not been
taught in the classroom, but rather, I have learned new things everyday from my experiences; some
of which produce greater lessons than others.
The sun drifted slowly over the horizon bringing a new day. I could smell the fresh air and saw the
dew droplets on each flake of grass as I strolled by them. It was another new day perfectly designed
by our creator. It was a Saturday morning in the middle of summer, and just like every other
weekend in the summer, I was playing the game I loved. Softball has always been my favorite sport,
and one of the things that takes up a lot of my time, especially in the summer. It was just another
weekend, the same as countless before it and many

Compare And Contrast Po2 And Pco2 Saturation

  • 1. Compare And Contrast Po2 And Pco2 Saturation The baseline value of this experiment was the PO2, PCO2 and Hb–O2 saturation during normal breathing. These baseline value (table 1) allow the comparison between different breathing patterns to normal breathing. The results (Figure 1, 2, 3 & table 1) of this experiment shows that breath–hold compare to normally breathing, mean PO2 decrease, mean PCO2 increase (figure 1) and mean Hb– O2 saturation slightly decrease (Figure 2). Moreover, comparing p values of breath–hold to breath– hold after hyperventilation, which is less than 0.05, meaning there is significant changes in mean PO2 and PCO2 (table 2), mean PO2 decrease, mean PCO2 increase (figure 1), and mean oxygen haemoglobin saturation increase (figure 2), the mean duration of breath hold decrease ... • 7. The Snake River, Yellowstone National Park As the gentle Colorado sun peaked through the hotel blinds, serenely flooding the room, I dreamt that I was drowning. My hands are frantically grasping for a flipped raft, my body haphazardly tossing and twisting through the rushing current like a rag doll as my mind flashes with some last fleeting images of my terrified family a few feet away. And right before the water closes in, I catch a quick glimpse of the sign directly above me––Snake River, Yellowstone National Park. Coming to a conclusion that whitewater rafting down the Snake River was one of the worst decisions my family has ever made, I sulked, and whined, and complained the whole walk down to the docks. My parents, the guides, and a girl about my age in our group, all told me, "don't worry, it'll be fun." But their efforts were pointless, and I picked up on a conversation behind me, where someone was casually talking about the overwhelming chance the raft would flip over. Nevertheless, everyone apparently believed it was something I would look back on and maybe even write a personal narrative about. Suddenly, in the middle of all that sulking and whining and complaining, I found myself in a wetsuit and oversized life jacket, glaring at the side of a roaring river, scowling at the wispy trees that seemed to be waving goodbye while they whispered about my tragic, inevitable death. I barely caught the tail–end of his speech as the guide droned on about, "––and that is how you lift someone out of the water using ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Mediation : The Three Pillars Of Zen By Roshi Phillip Kapleau "Mediation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom" (Buddha). Mediation is a means of transforming the mind and for myself it did exactly that. For the past two weeks I have decided to not change myself but add something new to my life to see what exactly it does to the body and mind. For two weeks straight I practiced with the breath meditation techniques for at least ten minutes. The experience and feeling was life changing. Before I began I read how to exactly practice mediation in the Three Pillars of Zen by Roshi Phillip Kapleau. I learned step by step everything I needed to know on how to meditate, from posture to breathing. I tried all the postures that Kapleau talked about such as the traditional zazen positions of sitting full lotus and half lotus. As well as the traditional Japanese style which is sitting on your heels and calves. I actually really enjoyed the full lotus position where my I placed my foot of my right leg over the thigh of my left and the foot of my left left over the though of my right thigh. I then made both my knees completely touch the mat which I was sitting on. This position really opened at first was slightly uncomfortable but once I had it down it feel relaxing and southing. I then leaned my body forward and slowly lifted my body back up in a straight posture with my ears in line with my shoulders and my back completely straight. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. The Necklace-Personal Narrative Late April, my eyes moved to the white jewelry box on the dresser, noticing it was left open, and my brow rose. It was a strange sight as I remembered closing it the night before, and I inched closer to see a silver necklace, embroidered with icons coiled in the center. I fingered it curious, and although archaic, it was in mint condition. My heart pumped quicker as goose bumps invaded my limbs, and my fingertips rang as a stark volt of electricity ventured up my spine, prickling my skin, and I dropped it. A violent shudder ripped through me with the buzz of my phone. I drew a deep breath, and bent down to retrieve the necklace, but it hovered off the ground by itself, and I backed away covering my mouth. When it fell gently to the ground, I quickly scooped it up, stuffing it in the jewelry box, shutting it, and checked the message unfamiliar with the number. As a result, I looked to the side, then to the other avoiding eye contact, but his eyes never moved. He stood making his way to his exit. Before he got off, he turned to stare at me one last time. The next stop came, and I got off crossing the street to the studio. I checked in at the desk with the receptionist, and she assured me my agent had taken care of the last minute paperwork. • 15. The Importance Of A Valuable Tool For Mental Skills And... Mindful breathing teaches how to quiet the everlasting dialogue that truly ravages our brain. It is really simplification of the present without thoughts about the past, the future, or any baggage in between. Simply just breathing deeply while focusing on each breath is mindful breathing. The end result is better mental clarity, focus, and increased physical and mental performance benefiting athletes, students, pilots, and businessmen, to name a few. This discussion covers: reasons why to conduct this valuable tool to enhance mental skills and improve health, mindful breathing in sports, techniques on how to conduct it, and my personal experience and suggestions. Why conduct mindful breathing? It clears the mind allowing one to shed unnecessary and distracting thoughts, thereby reducing the low–grade anxiety associated with the "monkey mind" that constantly involves itself in planning, catastrophizing, or wishing for something different. Taking time to be in the moment with a short break allows the brain's muscle to recover and recharge. This improves one's job performance to include sports and academics, enhances relationships, and can help one fall asleep faster. Health benefits include a stronger immune system due to less stress and lower blood pressure, less skin issues from psoriasis, and less symptoms associated with lung disease plus mindful breathing reduces stress on the heart. Yes, a house fire could become a possibility; however, this fire could be used as a very elite weapon. As mentioned previously, Lindsay creates very many enemies. She has betrayed the trolls under the bridges by not paying her toll to cross. Also, she has angered the giants by stealing their large produce. Therefore, Lindsay has too many enemies to go without any protection. A fire breathing dragon could provide all of the necessary protection. The dragon's fire breath works substantially well to burn down enemies. Because the dragon has wings, the giants will not be a threat; the dragon can fly high to be face–to–face with the giants. The wings will also provide the dragon with agility to miss the giants' punches. A dragon owner will be heavily protected with the presence of their dragon. In addition to protection, the dragon can also provide transportation. Lindsay's home is in a very distant land. The nearest market is 50 miles away, and the nearest hospital is 40 miles away. Lindsay may be an evil elf, but she still likes to visit her parents who live even farther away. With her dragon, she can just ride the dragon to any destination. This way of transportation is cheap too; she does not have to pay any bridge tolls or anything. Also, Lindsay can train her dragon to hunt, so that she does not have to buy the dragon or herself food. The dragon can provide a cheap, fun way of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Child labor usually took place in a factory working on a manufacturer line or doing as much physical labor as they could possibly do, being as young as they are. These kids who took part in child labor started some as early as the age of four or five, and then kept working until the day they died. Most of the time these kids has to work as much or sometimes more than even adults nowadays work. They would go to the factory while the sun comes up, work all day, and then go home at night to eat; and then wake up and do it all again the next day. These kids also were not working easy jobs, these jobs were very physical and hard labor. Also, the working conditions these kids worked in were not always as good as they needed to be. Sometimes they would even be put in situations where they could die any time of the day while at work. The wage for these kids were not to good either, some would get paid very, very little, and some would not get paid at all. Kids had no choice but to work and if they didn't work they would not survive, therefore they would really work for any price. Which was usually a lot cheaper than any adult would work for. There were many different place in which child labor took place in, places ranging from just cleaning houses, or doing small house work, to a full day job with very intense physical labor. ... • 27. Personal Narrative-Grounded In My Voice At the start of the semester I had become more aware and grounded in my voice. In my everyday life, I would notice if I was holding my breath. The reason for this was because over the summer I had to stand–up to one of my shut–up judges, my dad. The incident was extremely emotional, and I coped with it through the use of my actor training; instead of checking out and holding tension, I chose to breathe deeply and stay grounded. This allowed me to speak up even when I was told to shut–up. This awareness of breath was developed through necessity rather than choice. I had to be strong. My strength didn't only come from being grounded in my breath, but it also came using breathe to stay present in the room. The use of breath also allowed me to go into my body and release the build–up of emotions. As a result of these experiences, my voice was able to drop more consistently to my lower resonator rather than my typical chest voice. The new drop in my voice had its own challenges as well. One, of course, was to avoid reverting into old habits. When it comes to voice work, effort should be applied every day. Just because I was breathing deep one day, doesn't mean I am allowed to stop the next day. Throughout this whole semester, I've had to continuously be aware of my voice and breath. Descriptive Essay On Who I Am I Breath in through your mouth and out through your noise and some might say breath in your noise and out through your mouth to keep less germs from coming in but, I had my own technique. Breathing In through my noise and out my noise was my strategy and it worked every single time. This is the technique that gave me my passion, this is the technique that gave me part of my description, this is the technique that gave me part of my identity, and this is the technique that made me who I am today. The reason this technique of mine is so important to who I am is because it is applied to three things in my life that I am most passionate about. Track, marching band, and praise dancing. These three hobbies of mine play a very important role in my life because they all play a part in how I define myself. When I first started running track I was in the 4th grade. I didn't really know much about the sport at the time, I just knew it didn't involve a ball so I was all for it. As the years passed and I went off to middle school, track became very serious for me. I started winning medals for races, I became one of the track team captains, and I even joined a track team outside of school called beast mode because I loved the sport so much. Once I went off to high school people all ways identified me as "that boy that's all ways running". The sport psychologist could work with the player asking him to remember having a strong support foot placement, striking the ball hard and true, thinking about where exactly he wants the ball to go, seeing the ball hit the back of the net and thinking about the elation experienced at successfully scouring a goal. The sport psychologist would do this because seeing yourself perform well in your mind is a good way of increasing a sense of mastery. It increases your belief in your ability to perform a task. Relaxation A sprinter is in the start position in the final of the men's 100m hurdles at the Olympics Games. Mindfulness, Super Brain Yoga And Square Breathing Mindfulness, Super Brain Yoga and Square Breathing Mindfulness is a yoga practiced used to self–assess for awareness in the present moment (Leland, 2015) When practiced in the moment, mindfulness has been shown to reduce the negative effects of excessive worry, in the moment, and self–doubt (Jennings & Jennings, 2013). Mindfulness is an important component of Eastern religions but has been used in schools to help students increase their awareness of their focus and anxieties in an attempt to overcome them. In the classroom, the purpose of mindfulness is not an attempt to permanently move mountains, but rather to find a way around the stumbling block in the mental path. Yoga has been shown, through research, to reduce anxiety (Kirkwood, Rampes, Tuffrey, Richardson, & Pilkington, 2005). Yoga is widely practiced by groups of people for various reasons and with ranging levels of devotion. Some seek out yoga and other Eastern religions to seek a higher plane of knowledge and inner peace. Others simply want the benefits of the calming exercises. Some parents may even become upset with the idea of teaching religion in school, but in this aspect, yoga and its benefits are easily taught and can be easily practiced and mastered in a classroom for amazing benefits for students who need to learn to assess their anxiety levels and address them in a way to help alleviate some of the anxiety that is negatively impacting their focus and learning. Multiple internal ducial markers (normally three to ve numbers) are implanted in or around the tumor site to track the tumor motion in real–time during treatment cycles in order to identify breathing phase and displacement such that the optimal gate can be designed Seppenwoolde et al. The individual markers are tracked in all three directions using imaging techniques such as conventional cone beam CT kV projection images. The tumor location is determined by averaging the marker coordinates in the SI, AP and Lateral directions independently. The markers are gold plated and 2mm in diameter. Pre–treatment simulations are performed on the patient using digitally reconstructed radiographs DRRs Russako et al. (2005) that are computed from the planning CT data. This is done to test whether the patient can handle the invasive procedure of marker implantation; to delineate the tumor and surrounding anatomical structures; perform simulations on the generated DRRs over multiple breathing cycles using identical treatment setup geometry at end–of–inhale phase and end–of– exhale phase to design an optimal treatment plan that delivers tumoricidal dose while avoiding normal tissue toxicity. • 56. Describe The Importance Of Using Proper Breathing... Using proper breathing techniques in pilates is crucial. There's one basic rule to breathing when exercising that applies to all workouts. When the move is difficult exhale; when it's easy inhale. This helps to get through the difficult part of the move. To fully understand why it's so important to have proper breathing, it is necessary to understand the basics of pilates. In pilates, all the energy comes from the core. If you were to take a string and tie it around your body where your bellybutton is, everything the string touches is your core. The main type of breathing in pilates, lateral breathing, emphasizes this. With lateral breathing, instead of pushing the stomach out, pull the core muscles in and expand the rib cage on the inhale. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The doctors told us that there was no cure for his disease, and that ultimately he'd have to fight. They did set him up ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Now, what am I doing? I struggled to gain consciousness. I strained to lift my head. In its pointlessness, my eyelids flew open. I didn't panic, I didn't struggle to breathe. I calmly floated, my body unable to move. Is this what it's like to be at peace? No, it was emptiness. I knew I had to get away from death. How? I tried focusing my eyesight, no light. I felt as if my chest were being ripped apart. I drew in a breath, no good. Water filled my lungs, I kicked and twisted, my body, begging for air. The Importance Of Summer In The Summer Summer days are anticipated year round; there are always kids or even parents that are dreading the last school days, and just waiting to go to the beach or sit in the air conditioning and watch a movie. Summer has always been highly anticipated in my life, and not for reasons like most people. In my life, summers do not mean relaxation and going to the beach. Although I am not making a sandcastle in the sand, I get to play in a different kind of soil: dirt. Softball is a game that requires players to get dirty, whether that means sticking the glove in the dirt to field the ground ball or sliding because there is close play at the base. One summer in particular, I didn't only get dirty on the field, but my whole life got a whole lot messier. The biggest lessons I have learned in my life have not been taught in the classroom, but rather, I have learned new things everyday from my experiences; some of which produce greater lessons than others. The sun drifted slowly over the horizon bringing a new day. I could smell the fresh air and saw the dew droplets on each flake of grass as I strolled by them. It was another new day perfectly designed by our creator. It was a Saturday morning in the middle of summer, and just like every other weekend in the summer, I was playing the game I loved. Softball has always been my favorite sport, and one of the things that takes up a lot of my time, especially in the summer. It was just another weekend, the same as countless before it and many ...
