2. Race Engine Design, Development and Support
Engine Test and Development
Our 29 engine dynos in Michigan provide a variety of
capabilities (from diesel to alternative fuels) to enable us to
undertake engine test and development work in our own
facility with the highest priority needed to support our
customer’s race programs.
These facilities are available for full program or on an
individual test basis
Race Support
Our engineering staff provide calibration and trackside
support to ensure the optimum performance from our race
Engine Design
engines where it counts – on the track.
Drawing on the knowledge and skills of our designers – with
available optimization and simulation tools - MAHLE
Powertrain undertake cost effective changes to base engine
platforms for optimum performance within the limits of the
race regulations.
The MAHLE Motorsport group provide a strong supporting
role with advanced product - eg pistons, bearings - available
for race use.
Engine Build
We have a clean engine build facility with full measurement
capabilities and experienced staff. The use of MAHLE
component product engineering experts provide us
component level expertise to identify issues early in the
engine program – leading to durable race engines early in
life.
